I don't like all their beer BUT that being said they make the best local beer in Bozeman, the Midas Crush, obviously.

Awesome location with great views of the Bridgers. The building is very well done with a cozy vibe. The beer is pretty good with a nice selection. I tend to stick with the Blonde Ale and rarely drink anything else. The food, although very over priced, is delicious - I just wish they would offer a little more selection in the appetizers section. I give 3 stars because of the kid situation. I totally understand being a family friendly environment but when did breweries become daycares? Every time I have visited it's been packed full of loud, obnoxious children who's parents don't seem to be bothered with their behavior. Adults drink and go to bars to socialize and escape the stresses of life. Having loud children run freely in these environments is not relaxing nor is it setting a good example - but that's my opinion. For this reason and mainly this reason I will only go to the Map for a growler fill. read more

This place really really needs to reconsider their organization when it comes to ordering drinks and food. I feel like I spend more time standing up waiting to get a beer than hanging out with whoever I'm with! It makes it kind of a no-go for a lot of people when we're thinking about going out to a brewery, which is too bad because the beers excellent. read more

This place has it all! We make it here as often as possible. Beer is always fantastic! I'm a huge fan of their IPAs. Food in the back - smoked pork tacos? - are you kidding me? Atmosphere inside & out does not disappoint. Can't wait to go back when the sun comes back to the Big Sky! read more

Fair beers in a beautiful location. My recommendations would be to let the brewer figure out the big system a bit, and then avoid the attached Grille 406 food truck at all costs. Ridiculous prices for lousy food and small portions. Got charged $12 for 2 very small tacos that would be about $6 @ La Tinga. Glad to have another brewery in town, let's hope their beers evolve. For now, there are much better beer/food option in the Bozone. read more

A must see brewery with incredible views of the Bridgers, excellent beers and a great staff. Kid friendly and you can even reserve the upstairs for parties. Stop by just to see the beautiful architecture of their building. I'm not a brewer but I hear the head Brewer has some cred. read more

Given that this is a new place, MAP has it dialed. Gorgeous spot, with spectacular views of the mountains. Nice selection of tasty beers and a food that is equally good. Truly a gem with a great vibe, including a cool patio overlooking the little lake there (skating in winter). Seems like a go-to spot for post Bridger Bowl skiing, will be the same for the hiking and biking summer crowd, no doubt. read more

We reserved the upstairs space at Map mid-week for a birthday gathering. Many of our guests complimented the amazing space, service, beer and food. The kids loved playing in the snow on the back patio. Most importantly, the people from Map and Grille 406 were easy to work with and both came to chat with us during the party to ensure we were satisfied. Thanks guys. View is great. Interior is fun and contemporary. Outdoor dining is simple. Beer is very average if you are a beer connoisseur. The food at the nearby restaurant is extremely poor. Service is poor. It has great potential with the view of BOZEMAN pond and the Bridgers. read more

I love this place. It's a great local brewery and the beer and food is delicious. I love the atmosphere. It's open and friendly and plenty big enough for a gathering of whatever size you would want or need. They have a great artistic feel and it's just a comfortable place to be. I absolutely love the creative beer choices and the prices are very reasonable for craft beer. My favorite drink of theirs is the Midas Crush, a delicious citrus IPA. It is quickly becoming my favorite IPA of all time, beating out other favorites such as Deschutes Fresh Squeezed. My only complaint is that because they are smaller they have limited distribution options. You unfortunately cannot buy prepackaged beer either at the brewery or at the store and can only purchase a growler, however their growler prices are very reasonable and I was assured by one of the bartenders that they are working on expanding into bottles in the future. The only other drawback is there are not waitresses during the day so you have to order and pick up your own food and drinks- which in my opinion is such a small drawback. If you're in the Bozeman area, I highly recommend checking out this brewery, whether it's for a quick bite or drinks or both. A definite must try. read more

Was in Bozeman for a couple of days and wanted to try a couple local breweries. Found MAP on this site and decided this was what I was looking for! Locally brewed beers in a relaxing setting with a scenic backrop to boot! The beers were great and the view of the distant mountains was stunning. I could have sat there all day. MAP Brewing is doing it right- they serve great beer in an incredible but laid back and kid friendly building along with a food truck serving up easy and good food. Super easy to order food ahead for the kiddos as well with their square ordering system. Great outdoor spaces to soak in the Bridger views and for letting the kids run around - lots of space and big tables upstairs for meetings and parties- well done MAP. read more

Only had 4 beers left for the day. The beer I was looking forward to trying was not one of them. I don't think that having 4 beers is enough to stay open for the day. No server working, so the service was terrible. The bartender didn't even inform us of this before we sat awkwardly at a table for 10 minutes. The golden ale I had wasn't very inspiring. Also the burger I had was so dry it had a saw dust quality. The poutine and view were the only saving grace. read more

The beers are decent. The location and environment is top notch. Unfortunately they are under-served and often overly crowded. They also do a very poor job of keeping their beers stocked and available. I bought a growler (an expensive one at that) and twice they have failed to fill it as too much of their sauce goes out to their distributors. Why have a growler if they lack the inventory to fill it? Also, what is the deal with the Rastafari imagery on their otherwise good looking tee-shirts? Bozeman rastas? Please..... read more

I visited Map Brewing for the first time a couple weeks ago and was thoroughly impressed. The facility is top-shelf, atmosphere was excellent, beer was delish. Location and view of the Bridger Range across the lake was impressive. Owner Dash gave me a quick tour of the brewing facility, keg rooms, water treatment and electrical set-ups, etc. - it looked like a NASA operation! I think these folks are passionate about their product and it shows in their beer and the community they are building. read more

What a terrific location to have a cold microbrew! Outdoor patio overlooking a lake with a great mountain view as a backdrop. The inside of the taproom is phenomenal. Very well done! Beer selection is excellent and staff very friendly. I'm an amber fan and theirs is excellent. Had their Northbound blonde and it's not your typical blonde, smooth but bolder than a normal blonde. 406 Grille has great food as well. A definite must stop when in Bozeman! read more

We're in Bozeman at least several times a year and enjoy trying the local places. We had seen MAP being built and both the place and the location looked fabulous. The thought of having a good beer (or two), sitting there looking out over the pond and the mountains, was quite appealing. Our visit (family of 5) was as good as hoped. Of course, the beers must be the heart of it and they were really good. I had the Northbound Ale (nice and crisp) and the Stout (I'm not normally a big stout fan, but it was excellent). We all had something to eat, including the kids, and everyone enjoyed what they had. The atmosphere is friendly and pleasant. The layout, with the counters, bar, tables, booths and the upstairs seating, work well. The setting and view are magnificent. Keep up the good work guys, you've really put together something very nice and enjoyable. We're looking forward to our next trip to Bozeman and will be sure to spend even more time there. read more
