I also recommend appetizers but it seems whenever I go the appetizers always outshine the entrees. The beef bourginone was phenomenal every piece so tender melts in your mouth. My friend ordered the steak and I never order steaks out anymore because they are never good but his STEAK WAS PHENOMENALl!!! The seasoning THE COOK everything was perfection!! This was our first time at this popular local place! The menu was a little short, but I understand that this gives the opportunity to specialize in the dishes. I got the croissant breakfast, and wanted the egg over medium but the yolk ended up being a bit hard. The croissant was great, and the bacon was tasty. The fruit that came on the side of my breakfast was very fresh and good quality. My husband got the omelet and while it was cooked perfectly, he thought the filling was a little light. The flavor on the bread that came with his meal was fairly average, and so were the home fries. The prices for the meals are a little higher, but you need to consider the location along with the price. The vibe in this area is nice, but it looks like parking could be an issue - we came in the early morning on a weekend. This was my second time here for brunch, and I will not be returning. Service severely lacks hospitality. The food is sorely mediocre for the prices you're paying. I also need to mention that when my daughter's French toast came out, it was clearly burnt, and the server who brought it out could tell that it was obviously burnt. They just tried to cover it up with powdered sugar. I immediately had her take it back, but it seemed that she and the kitchen staff were offended that I'd do such a thing. I watched their faces annoyingly stare at the plate when she returned it. Don't try to pass off trash and then get upset when people refuse to eat it. I ordered shrimp and grits which were ok as well as a Bloody Mary. It was made with sake but they should probably just stick to vodka or not offer it at all because it wasn't very good. Food was mediocre, price would be good if dishes were executed properly. Two omelets delivered to the table with raw/cold filling included bacon. Fruit on the side was hot, we assume from being under a heat lamp. When someone doesn't eat 90% of their meal and talks about ordering another meal - the waitress should have asked if everything was okay. Nothing... Not overly impressed with ambiance or service. While it is very quaint that most restaurants in Augusta are closed 3 days a week, I'm from the big city and it is shocking to me. I love that I can go to Manuel's every day if I want. Sunday morning , my family and I decided to go to for brunch. It's a nice environment the host was kind enough to squeeze us in before another reservation came. Our server was very pleasant and nice. The food I ate was very good I had the eggs julienne, which is just and eggs benedict with salmon and French toast. The eggs julienne had a great taste and was very balanced in flavor, it meshed well with the home fries. The French toast was kind of disappointing cause I was so small and they charge $9.95 for two pieces of toast. I think it should be a lot cheaper than that. My husband had the goat cheese scramble, he said it was not seasoned well, it just taste like plain eggs and goat cheese. My father in law had no complaints with his food. Our party of 4 had the best experience. Pork belly and duck wings Tapas was PERFECT for sharing with the table. My husband had the whole fried flounder which was both beautifully presented and very delicious. I had the Salmon Salad which was a large perfectly grilled Salmon on top of greens with an amazing dressing. Chocolate Crème brûlée was one of our desserts and it was fabulous. This place is adorable on the outside. The pictures online of the food also look fantastic. The food however isn't very good. We got the gyro, red pepper humus, French onion soup, fries, and caprese salad. None of it was quite right. All of it was bland except for the French onion soup, which just tasted like salt. It didn't even have any onions in it, or if there were any there were so few that you couldn't see it. My coffee came out with the previous customer's wet lipstick still on the rim of the cup. We were hoping for better based on the reviews and the atmosphere and cute location. Atmosphere and location is the reason for 2 stars. The food gets 1 star, if even that, and the lipstick smudged cup brings down the score further. read more

A first timer here, it's a nice casual restaurant with plenty of outside seating. The food was very good and fresh, the pork wings were also tasty. The accompanying sauce takes them to another level. I had the chicken pancatta which was juicy and well breaded. The steak was excellent just needed a lil' more salt and pepper for me. The only drawback with outside spaces is that someone can literally park their vehicle next to your table. It's also pet friendly which coincides with the neighborhood where located. Me and a friend tried Manuel's Bread Cafe for the first time yesterday and it was such a treat!! We only went in for dessert but we wished we had gone for lunch! We had the cake trio which was so delicious!! We tried to Grasshopper, Sweet and Salty, and the Oreo cake and let me tell you it was spectacular! The presentation was amazing and the staff was so welcoming! We also had coffee I had the Cafe Latte and my friend had the cappuccino and both were delicious! We came to the cafe Monday at 830pm. I thought it might be a problem since they close at 1000pm, but the staff was pleasant and very attentive. We had a roasted beet salad with duck confit and the fried ravioli. The salad was delicious although I think the beets could have had a few more minutes in the roaster. The fried ravioli was very fresh tasting and crispy until the last bite. The tangy tomato sauce with shaved mozzarella was the perfect compliment. They have daily specials cooked fresh with locally sourced items. The cafe/bistro atmosphere was also a refreshing change of scenery for us. I look forward to trying more items on the menu. The prices are a tad bit expensive, but I am willing to pay if the food is properly prepared. We definitely will be back. read more

We love this place. Everything was perfect on a Friday night. We split the picatta and a bottle of french rose ($30, drank half and took half home), $6 for a Hopsecutioner beer (bottled) for my fiancé. The charcuterie board was exactly as it should be, a little sweet, a little sour, a little savory, a little creamy. There should be some old favorites on it as well as some surprises. A good charcuterie board should be just as you expected but also have new items that you have never heard of and Manuel's board was great. We split the chicken piccata, it's only $3 to split a dish and they give you extra starch and veggies. We are both going to have trouble trying other things here because the piccata was so perfect. Never say no to Manuel's cakes, just get a slice to go! They are all amazing. I used to be a baker and a chef and I've never been disappointed. Make reservations!
