TANDOORI ROASTED ARTICHOKE HEARTS
Ram S.

Found a nice Indian restaurant in Denver. Food was tasty with good portions. Loved the grilled artichoke sizzler and the veggie chow mein. Both were tasty, hot and perfect size. Service was polite and professional. The ambience is classic decor for a Nepali/Indian place. Would definitely return when I am back in the area

I like the decor, the restaurant is inviting and feels comfortable. We ate dinner on a Saturday night and there were a lot of people but we were still seated right away since they had ample seating. Our waitress was very good, friendly and observant catering to us. Good options on the menu and they give very big portions so we were both full and had take home for another meal. My biryani was very good and my friends veggie stew was also very tasty, the broth was thicker so you could really taste every mouthful. We also got samosas for appetizers which was well made. We ordered strawberry daiquiris and they were well presented but tasted watered down so that was probably our least favorite part of the meal. But overall great experience and I'll be back.

There is absolutely no way for me to disagree with the current ratings of this restaurant (near perfect 5 stars.) This is not necessarily a hidden gem when it comes to its location (on Broadway and 14th) but in a way, it's a bit unassuming. I say so because its exterior doesn't seem that fancy and yet once you are inside it, you'll be shocked to find out how elegant it is. But what's most important about this place is, of course, its food. After a much needed visit to the museum nearby, before I headed over to my side hustle, I came here to place a simple meL order. Instead of getting me a few to several items off the appetizer section, I went with one entree: saag-e-noor with chicken add on. This item is listed under the "Classic Indian Main Course". I am so glad that I got me this dish as it turned out to be exquisitely delightful. I tasted some spices that I had never tasted in any saag dishes I had had in the past. I'm nowhere near the expert level when it cones to Indian cuisine and yet it sort of hinted me if this dish might be the closest to the absolute authentic saag dish you could eat if you were in India. And it tasted like something that is served in a high-end restaurant. Once I took a bite I simply couldn't stop eating it where I literally devoured the whole thing in probably 15 minutes or so. It was simply exquisite and delicious to say the least. The workers were nice and yet they were a bit bashful. I can so resonated with this demeanor of the lady who assisted me upon entry into it when I was there to place my to-go order. I'm not stating this a negative way at all. In some way, it's their way to be polite and courteous. I even sensed the same bashfulness in the guy who came out from the kitchen to hand me my food (the time was around 3:50pm. The restaurant was outside of the busy peak lunchtime; there was only one table occupied in the dining room. Hence, my food came out from it pretty quickly.) The dining room is a good size and it emits a high-end restaurant feel. The ambience is quite elevated. I am now pondering whether I should go back soon to explore other dishes. I simply cannot wait for that occasion. I am impressed.

It's been so long since I've been in love. I thought perhaps by cynicism has killed my heart and palate. However... my new Mantra is... Mantra cafe. The food makes my palate want to break out in song. They presented very tantalizing flavors and well executed cooking. Service was excellent also. I will be back soon. Some positives: Drink menu was extremely reasonably priced. We did mix of cocktails and beer. Great service. I forgot to write down my favorite dishes though. Will have to update my review next time

Great option when I'm craving comfort food. I know they say tikka masala isn't "authentic" Indian, but regardless, it's delicious - and theirs is superb. The flavor is rich, the chicken is cooked perfectly with no weird bites, and the pieces are cut to size so every bite is enjoyable. The garlic cilantro naan is probably the fluffiest naan I've ever had and delicious. I usually order spicy and went with hot this time, but honestly wish I'd gone for the highest level. They also had a great bogo deal on DoorDash. I'll definitely be ordering again- everything hit the spot and nothing was lacking.

Gluten-free naan - tasty, but lacked structural integrity

I was not expecting much despite the high rating because (a) there were not many reviews and (b) it was a sponsored result, which always makes me suspicious... happily, this lived up to its rating. The restaurant looks nice inside, service was good, and most importantly, the food was good. It's a great place to have lunch or dinner if you've been visiting the art museum.

I have mixed reviews after my visit to Mantra Cafe tonight. First off, the chicken masala flavoring was excellent! It was just the right level of spice and depth of flavor. That dish alone was the highlight. Now to the drawbacks. My cheesy naan had two issues: it was slightly burnt, which affected the taste, and the amount of cheese was minimal to non-existent. The portion size was also disappointing for the price. For $18, I received about 10 medium size chunks of chicken, which felt light, especially coming from Houston where portions tend to be more generous. Overall, while the masala dish was delicious, the portion size may impact whether I return, particularly since there's another Indian restaurant nearby with similar flavors and pricing but significantly larger servings.

We came here for dinner one night and absolutely loved it! The food is amazing, the portions are large, the staff are super friendly and attentive, and it's a cute space! Couldn't ask for more. If I lived nearby I would be going all the time!

I was in Capitol Hill and was craving some Indian food and randomly stumbled upon this gem during their grand opening!!! There's plenty of great seating inside, but also outdoor seating if you want to enjoy the weather. I ordered the Lamb Vindaloo while my friend ordered the Chicken Naan Tikka Taco, and we split an order of Garlic Naan. Everything was DELICIOUS! My server was so helpful and an angel. I'm looking forward to coming back and am rooting for the success of this awesome restaurant!

Food was very good and fresh. Only complaint is that you didn't get the option to increase spiciness in some of the dishes. They were good, but definitely would've preferred a little more heat with some of the plates. The artichoke grilled hearts were outstanding!

The ambiance is so nice. It's in the old burgerfi space. Everything was authentic and we can't wait to come back for the traditional favorites. The service was excellent and they had great suggestions. Don't forget to order the hot sauce. They import a special hot pepper that I haven't had in a hot sauce in any restaurant. They have two types of imomos We got the green chili version and it was like nothing we've had before. I want to bring all our friends here! They have $5 wine and beers!! Try this place and you won't be sorry!!!

The timing was right for my husband and I to come for a Sunday lunch. The service was fast and friendly. We started with potato sliders that were really good but not as good as our main courses. My husband opted for the lamb tiki masala and I opted for the eggplant (Baingan Bharta) Thali meal. The dal soup and spiced potatoes that came in the Thali were incredible. My favorite part was the chai though. I cannot drink milk and the alternative was oat milk. This was one of the best chais I have had in my life. So so good.

The Thali caught my eye as it's essentially a traditional platter with a variety of balanced small plates from rice to potatoes to dal soup and even dessert all on a single tray. I got it with Butter Chicken which was so good! Highly recommend as it was creamy, medium spicy, and very aromatic. I absolutely loved the street-style chaat! It's creamy, crunchy, cold, and loaded with flavors and textures. Such a satisfying bite and I almost couldn't stop until it was gone. I love that this Thali came with both rice & naan as I usually want both and can't decide lol! The rice was fluffy and aromatic from the cumin while the garlic naan was fresh, soft, and delicately brushed with garlic & parsley. I didn't care for the dal soup (bit too watery) or the jeera potatoes (bit undercooked) but the dessert was a nice way to end the meal. Their options included rice pudding and gulab jamun; I went with the "healthier" option lol. It was creamy, sweet, and cooled down my palate after the various dishes. The Lamb Biryani was another good try! The lamb chunks were tender and seasoned, the rice was aromatic, and it paired well with the onions and raita (yogurt sauce). This definitely satisfied my craving and I'm glad I stopped by before the long day I had ahead!

Each dish was at least 15$ Yes/No I would return here to try the other items on the menu.
