This is a ghost kitchen, and every Sunday from 9 AM to 1 PM, you'll find Bombay Tiffin Services…read moreserving up something special. I'm not sure about the other restaurants that use this space, but Sunday mornings are all about this hidden gem -- and trust me, it's heaven. Since it's a tiffin service, most people order ahead, as they make a limited number of portions, plus extras for walk-ins. My friend Shivangi raved about it, so I had to give it a try. I ordered online around 12:30 PM and rushed over -- but when I got there, I found out my order was actually placed for the next Sunday by mistake. Thankfully, the guy running the counter was super helpful and told me he had idli, sambar, and Ghee Mysore Pak available. I ordered 6 idlis and a dessert, and he even gave me a complimentary small filter coffee to taste and it was amazing. The idlis were soft and fresh, and the sambar had a sweet-spicy flavor that was incredibly rich and satisfying. The Ghee Mysore Pak literally melted in my mouth -- unbelievably soft! I can't wait to go back and try their dosas next time. Also, they have outdoor seating available, which is perfect if you want to dine in when the weather's nice.

It's with a heavy heart that I have to update my review. Firstly, I was a great tenant, never late…read moreon my rent, no noise complaints, got my full deposit back etc. I was not treated like one though. Management changed and everything went downhill. Property improvements tend to be messy but we were asked to clear our balconies before the 4th of July and they didn't get to my building until November. Throughout this time they continued to ask us to keep it clear. It's unacceptable to ask people to keep their patios/balconies empty for the whole summer. It was a lazy move, they could have made adjustments. The gates worked about half the time. When they got them semi-fixed, they said they were going to adopt the policy of keeping the gates open during working hours but only kept that up for about a week. There's a new app for the gates that seems to work...when the gates are working. Their communication is horrible now. So many of my emails got ignored even when I addressed the issue that I felt I was being ignored. The communication style is now avoidant. The first year there was one tree roach that got in my apartment and it was one of our hottest summers. The second summer it was 10+. I know they cut back on pest control, it was a ridiculous amount of bugs inside my home. I get that it's a business but I was paying around $1680 a month for my one bedroom and they would rather have me move out and give it to someone else for $1,200 so I had to move out on principal alone. I asked for a consideration to reduce my rent, provided the requested documentation proving that other properties in the neighborhood had cheaper rent and same square footage and they didn't even consider lowering it at all. What was the point of that? All that said, maintenance is still top notch and they will go out of their way to give you excellent service. It's still a beautiful environment to live in with birds and squirrels and deer. I don't have a problem with the hassles property improvements cause, it should be expected but they really need to work on managing those issues when they arrive. I hope that current management learns to communicate better because being ignored multiple times was one of the sticking points for me. Even if you don't have an answer, answer. If you have to forward my email to someone else, say that. I've worked in customer service my whole adult life and I don't understand the avoidant behavior. I would not move back here but I do believe that given time, Hardrock will be a great place to live at again,

We've finally moved out of this complex, and I wanted to update my review to continue to emphasize…read morehow bad this place is. I also want to open by saying that, obviously, some of these problems are outside of the complex's control; contractors might not do as they promised, renovations and repairs can be unpredictable, and crime is an inevitability, but management should be able to competently address concerns, take actionable steps towards solutions, and mediate between contractors, tenants, and the community, and Hardrock Canyon has proven itself incapable to do so. Additionally, after moving out and spending one week cleaning the apartment, we were charged $180 in cleaning fees. I've tried repeatedly to contact the leasing office, and I have had no response on the status of the unit when we moved out, or exactly what was so bad in the unit that warranted a $180 cleaning fee. I've lived in Austin for 8 years now, and this is easily the most unsafe and poorly managed apartment complex I have ever lived at (and I lived in West Campus from 2017-2020). In the two years we've lived here, we've had a bike stolen, a car broken into, and, most absurdly, a pair of rainboots stolen. Countless other cars have been broken into, and I've see stolen cars, people behaving erratically, people sleeping in cars, and a group of homeless people broke into the pool here once. Any time I've brought concerns to management, I'm met with responses ranging from "Okay" to "I don't know." Management cannot communicate or solve problems, often resulting in tenants having to crowdsource essential information and problem solve ourselves. At my time here, I've heard of at least three people who have had trees or branches fall and damage their cars due to poor landscaping, and the cute lights strung up around the complex are usually broken. The apartments themselves are poorly laid out with minimal accessible storage, and though the amenities look nice, you're sacrificing the safety of your property and loved ones by living here. They might have slapped a new coat of paint on the buildings (also a poorly communicated and logistical nightmare) and replaced the fences, but don't be fooled--this is an unsafe, badly managed complex and you would do much better moving to a different complex in the area.

It's the community I imagined a dorm would have, with the privacy of an apartment, but with incredible amenities like a basketball courtyard, giant kitchen to study, hangout, or do puzzles in, multiple movie/gamerooms, and the best view of downtown Austin that West Campus has to offer. Your friends are right next door too, which makes logistics for going out together and come home together very easy. The home-cooked meals are absolutely incredible, and dinners are tasty, and the whole house has the chance to get together to eat and chat. There usually a late night snack to satisfy any cravings as well. Plus, if you're into lifting there's a gym downstairs with two power racks. All in all, highly encourage anyone to take a look into College Houses (especially Halstead) if you're looking for housing.

I did not realize that medium comes with two scoops, so that's what I purchased. It was even better the second time around. My server confirmed that the crunchy part was in fact the Taiwanese cake. I have them so many times while visiting Taiwan, I suspected that was the magic ingredient.
