I ended reaching out to Customer Service about my experience with Manhattan Bagel. I never received a response. It's clear this franchise does not care about their customers, or food safety, but only about the money that they're making. I am extremely disappointed and don't know how this store hasn't been shut down yet. Furthermore, I realized how after responding to every bad rating they end it with,"after your experience with customer service, consider changing your review." which is absolute garbage and shows how much they really care. Husband ordered a manhattan bagel sandwhich here. The inside of the sandwhich was yummy and mustard was a good touch, but at the base- it is a BAGEL sandwich. And the bagel was dry, old, and crunchy. If you're going to hang your business hat on bagels, then by god do your bagels need to be fresh. read more

Quality: no Fresh: no Go to Harris teeter and save yourself a trip to the dentist. These people have no idea what they're doing, the bagels are pathetically small and stale. They don't seem to have any quality control or decent management. read more

This is such an easy fix so I truly hope I get a response to this post. It really bothers me that when I try to order Manhattan Bagels from DoorDash, I am forced to buy the worst possible bagels. I am attempting to buy three dozen bagels and they will not allow me to choose the bagel flavors I want. Who the hell wants cinnamon raisin and the other "lesser" bagels? If this not intentional and is a "DoorDash" issue, please fix it ASAP. read more

This is one of my favorite bagel places in Charlotte. Growing up on NY bagels this place is as close as you can get it in Charlotte. The employees are always very nice and make the food fresh. I always get a BLT it never disappoints! A great place for an easy lunch. Highly recommend this place. read more

The girl working the cash register was fabulous... She was bubbly and friendly. I wanted that to be known. Unfortunately my order went a different way. I only get salmon lox when I go into a bagel shop so I ordered the ultimate lox egg white sandwich, and by the time I got home it was too late to notice there was absolutely no locks on my bagel. So I paid $10 for egg and tomato. You can see the picture. This place has an array of bagels but the made to order stuff might not be worth it. :( read more

Came here on a Saturday morning with my husband to pick up a few bagels to go. The service was quick & we were in and out within 15-20 mins at most. I had ordered an asiago bagel with plain cream cheese, and my husband had ordered 2 jalapeño cheddar bagels with bacon egg and cheese and jalapeno cream cheese. Both were toasted & we brought them home with us. It was about 10 minutes before we even bit into our bagels, and still both the bagels were so warm and soft! I love soft bagels! They were still toasted but did not feel like we were biting into a rock. I will get the asiago bagel with jalapeno cream cheese next time, but I definitely recommend! read more

I found this bagel shop about a two months ago. I did a late afternoon run to test - try one bagel. That bagel was big enough, tasty but hard. I assumed it was late and the bagel was sitting out all day. Over the next month, i purchased on different occasions a dozen bagels in the early AM. However yesterday I purchased a dozen late morning and they were hard. My concern was that when I got home and put some bagels in the plastic bag, i noticed they felt hard. I decided to sample one so i cut and toasted it. It seems stale but i could tell they were different! The toasted bagel was hard too. This morning, I returned to this shop to return the hard bagels. I was met by the same young man that sold me those bagels yesterday. He told me they make bagels fresh daily. Then he said sorry about that and proceeded to charge me for another dozen bagels... no inspecting the hard bagels from yesterday no credit on the sale, just we make em daily and sorry. So, this morning I left yesterday's bagels on the counter with my last dozen bagels from this shop!! I understand that there is variability in cooking/bagels. However failure to correct mistakes and instead stick to the position that "we are good!" makes for poor customer services. That is enough for me to stay away and write this review explaining the poor customer service from the guy I met this AM at manhattan bagel shop. read more

I tell my entire family and friend group to go here, my entire family is Jewish and my mom and grandma said these bagels reminded them of being young and getting bagels in Manhattan when they lived there before they moved to Charlotte. read more

Fresh and tasty NY style bagels that sure beat store bought ones. Apparently they ship the dough from manhattan and make them in store. Notable varieties are the jalepeno cheddar, asiago, and cinnamon, though I wish the cinnamon flavor was in the dough, not just the shell. The whipped cream cheeses are all superb - the lox and strawberry are great. Muffins and danishes are also pretty good. The chocolate chip muffin was my favorite. I'd say eat these asap, since they dry out quickly. My only concern is that the lox I ordered (packaged separately) was RT when I picked up the order... how long was it sitting out? I didn't get sick but still - not the best feeling going down. read more

Yep, I'm the guy who had a pumpernickel bagel before heading to the dentist. But it was a decent bagel and re-toasted properly. The jalapeno cream cheese does have some go to it. Good coffee as well. It's a small place but it does a decent amount of business and it's definitely inexpensive. Wifi works well. read more

Stopped in here on a Friday around lunch time for a late breakfast after errands and was really impressed with the food we had. We ordered a sausage egg and cheese on a bialy and a sausage and cheese on a garlic bagel. The service was really quick and friendly, food only took about 7 mins but was hot, fresh and really tasty. Has potential, unfortunately they cannot handle pressure. Ordered food delivery and gave it to the wrong person and they will not take responsibility for it apparently. Requiring me to place an additional order if i wanted it . Tried to call and goes directly to voicemail. I use to order because it was conveniently located and half way decent but the cons outweigh any pros at this point. People come here because there isn't many bagel joints. Hire more people during rush hours , quick analytics will show you when that is. Also take responsibility for your mistakes, and prioritize orders you messed up on. My favorite bagel spot in Charlotte! I get this on Door Dash once a week. I usually get a cinnamon raisin bagel, sliced thin, as a breakfast sandwich. I've also gotten the croissant sandwich and a breakfast burrito but the bagels are the best. read more

I absolutely love their bagels and sandwiches. HOWEVER, early morning bagel with cream cheese can be a bit stressful here. Like the bagel is overwhelmed with cream cheese. So imagine being nicely dressed heading to the office, trying to enjoy your bagel on the ride in but it's TONS of cream cheese pouring out and dripping all over your work attire and hands...NOT GOOD!! Don't get me wrong, the food is great. But if there was consistency in the cream cheese spread that would be awesome. Sometimes it's a perfect amount and sometimes it's like the food prep person is mad and wants patrons to make a mess . I know it seems weird to complain about, but my goodness sometimes I get more cream cheese than bagel. ‍ Also, a toasted bagel should be toasted and warm. I always request TOASTED TWICE so that I know it will be warm and toasted and I never get it. read more

The owner (or manager) said there is no mask exemptions for medical at his office location...ever. He also said he doesn't care about veterans. He made it a point to cause a scene and storm around with a box of masks. He would even interrupt people sitting down eating telling them to put their masks back on in between bites. He also said he doesn't care if people know his name or not. read more

There's no multigrain bread for the club sandwich even though it says so on the menu. Just bagels. A minor point and it's a bagel joint. But there's a picture of a club with bread right next to it, so confusing nonetheless. Chips are Einstein Bros Bagel Co. and pretty good and all the ingredients on the turkey are fresh and tasty so I would try them again. read more

I believe the original owners sold this store a while back and we hadn't been in a while. These are some of the worst bagels we've had in a long time. They tasted like day old and didn't have that good chewy texture a bagel should have. Never going back! Brueggers all the way! read more

Not exactly the way I wanted to spend my morning waiting in line (felt like I was being herded like livestock).... then it was a bit of a wait for my Ranchero Wrap. It turned out to be good, but I was not a fan of the waiting and the whole setup they have going in there. Space is limited- they definitely nailed down the NY feel since it felt like I was on top of everyone and there is a long narrow room where the tables (not too clean) were set up.
