I love curry, but a lot of Thai curry has gluten in their ingredients, so I was thrilled to find this place and see that it had gluten-free options on the menu and advertising. I placed my order to go, went and grabbed a few shopping items down the road, came back and grabbed my order for eating at home. It was delicious, and I didn't bloat up or get sick after, so it passes my gluten test. I've already eaten here again, and will continue to do so. We had a good meal picked up from Mango Thai 2 Go. I was disappointed to hear they took away the Thai peanut chicken from the menu. My chicken pad Thai came a bit dry. I had to add some extra sauce at home just to brighten it up a bit. We also ordered the lo mein, and glass noodles. Good but not great. After reading reviews we thought to give this place a try for Friday night dinner. I sure was disappointed. The beef for the pad kee now was extra dry and overly cooked. All three entrees that we ordered were underwhelming and didn't have enough flavor. Thai food is known for its flavor and zest, but their food just didn't taste like that. It's a small mom and pop shop. It has a few areas for sitting but I see this as takeout only. The egg rolls were amazing! I went with the Pad Thai but it was definitely missing something. It could have been seasoned better and a little spice would have taken this dish a long way. I went home and doctored it up as it was dry in my opinion. I got the Cashew Stir-Fry and the container (which is smaller than it used to be) was barely half full while the price has increased by $1. There wasn't nearly as much chicken as they used to use and they were very heavy handed with the green bell pepper which is a cheap, filler vegetable. This is probably one of my favorite Thai restaurant in the entire north Dallas area! I say that because I haven't try some restaurants in Haltom which I also bookmarked. The restaurant is small-- they only have like 8 seats, so dine-in is limited. I see most people come in and order take-outs anyways. They serve in to-go boxes as well, so if that might be a miss for some. But I highly recommend giving them a try because their food are delicious! The tom kha soup was flavorful, the pad thai and drunken noodles are perfectly cooked (chewy texture) and the noodles didn't break apart easily like some Thai restaurants. Their spice level (1-5 Thai spicy) could be a little higher, as I got hot (level 4) but it tasted like medium for me. Corn patties were okay for me, it tasted like a lot of batter instead of corn, but my boyfriend really liked that. Asides from that, the flavors were all on point as one of Thai restaurant I tried in LA, and prices/portion were decent as well-- $11-13 each dishes. Ordered two red curries and one drunken noodle with a couple of shrimp tempura for take out. Everyone was super nice, the order was correct and the food was amazing (as usual). The prices are middle of the road, but I'd rather pay for lovely dinner on nice Friday night than cook. If you want cheap food, small portions and questionable quality, go somewhere else. Finally tried the hole in the wall near me. It's nice that they have some indoor seating and it's not just takeout. Ordered the Pad Thai, Red Curry, and drunken noodles. The Pad Thai was better than most I've had, but the other two dishes were unremarkable. The service was friendly but I kept asking for things that were no longer on the menu, so I've taken the liberty of sharing the updated menu here. 03/14/2023 I have ordered here in the past and had a couple of issues, but didn't bring to attention as it wasn't something I wanted to rate poorly on the restaurant. The food here was very delicious, but today was not! I ordered the Panang Curry with Beef. I made a note to add potato and have white rice. The curry did not have any carrots (which is part of the original ingredients) or potatoes (which I wanted added), however pineapple was added, which was plain gross. I love pineapple, but in the curry didn't not taste great! The flavor of the pineapple permeated thru out the dish and didn't have a good taste to it. For the white rice, I would expect fresh rice, since the restaurant opens at 11am, you would expect the rice to be fresh. It was not! It looked like old rice and the bottom of the rice cooker. (Being filipino and cooking rice many times, I know what this looks like.) I want to like this place, but after this order, I will be finding another Thai place, hopefully it won't break the bank. read more

On the midst of moving day, we were tired and hungry. At 7 miles away, we're outside the delivery zone for Mango Thai 2 Go, but the 15 minute trip meant the food had just been packed when I arrived to pick it up. It was still piping hot when I got it back home. We ordered 2 Pad Thai - one with mild spice and the other with medium. We also ordered one Glass Noodle Pad Thai with medium spice. Our meals came with spring rolls and a choice of soup or salad. The spring rolls were of average size, but crispy instead of soggy/greasy like some restaurants. We saved our soup/salads for later because the entrees are large! Though we were hungry, we easily could share or have planned-overs. The dishes were fresh and tasty. The only change we would make next time is getting the next higher level of spice; medium seemed pretty mild. We'll order takeout from here again. I met a friend here for lunch today and I am so glad we went. An adorable little boy greeted us as we walked in. I had the Veggie Green Curry with mild spice and it was really good. The veggies are cut with such care that it really makes you feel special. I wish I would've gotten a bowl to take home with me. My meal came with a spring roll and a small peanut salad. The spring rolls were delicious and crispy. I don't eat meat and the owners were very accommodating and took the time to explain the menu to me. My friend had the Hawaiian plate with chicken and she enjoyed hers as well. I found Mango Thai 2 Go on yelp and saw the good reviews and figured I'd give it a try. It's now my go to take out restaurant any day I can manage. The yellow curry is always incredible and never disappoints. My family is particularly fond of the edamame and pineapple curry. Hidden Gem in Garland I'm so glad I found a good Thai place not far from home. Their menu is extensive but I ordered their Chicken pad Thai and Tom Yum soup for starters. Loved it! Everything about it! A few of my coworkers and I were looking for a place to eat where we could sit down and just relax a bit. We found this little restaurant and I mean it's really little. Almost like a food stand. We asked if we could eat there and were told we could but the food is in to go type plates. Fine with us and we actually prefer that. I don't know if you are even supposed to eat on site, as there are only a few tables and a lot of people were picking up takeout. Any who, the lunch special is $9.99 and it comes with a soup or salad, egg roll and entree. I had the Basil fried rice, one coworker had the drunken noodles and one had the pad Thai. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I also got a coconut milk tea with boba and it was sooooo good. The boba was warm like it had just come out of the crockpot and that's the way to do it! Now this might be TMI but I had to go to the bathroom before I left work but planned to use a bathroom at the restaurant. This one does not have a public bathroom. I'm not sure how they get away with that, except by saying they are to go only and the tiny table area is actually a waiting area. The little shop on the little strip on the side of the road, right next to an intersection, calling out with its lit mango logo high above the door. If you pull up at night, you might be lucky enough to be greeted by a little voice "Welcome to Mango Thai 2 Go" as a little boy hops off his chair in the small dining room, looking through the kitchen entry, waiting for assistance. This is the atmosphere of a family owned restaurant. This is the atmosphere I look forward to returning to over and over. Out of this little family owned and ran shop, I've had one of my favorite Thai experiences of my life. The spices, the noodle choices, the freshness of ingredients, all lending to a meal better than anybody could ever hope to order on a whim. Even the attention to detail is astounding. The fried calamari and spring rolls, neatly packed in their containers, with the corners cut open as to not soften the crunchy fried exteriors of their contents by steaming in their own delicious heat. The sweet and sour sauce, with a hint of spice is the best around. The pad Thai as delicious as could be, the shrimp cooked perfectly, this is Thai heaven. I could go on for days, describing every little detail about my meal that replays in my head, but I'd rather not warn you of how pleasantly surprised you'll be. 5/5 doesn't do this place justice.
