This restaurant has a serious cleanliness issue. We have been here about five times and find the food to be delicious but the dirty tables, floors and restrooms have started to make my skin crawl. On our second visit, there were several whole shrimps under our table and we noticed a large polo of fried rice under other tables in the restaurant. Since then I've started taking pictures of the general uncleanliness. The pictures I added were from different visits. I'm sorry but sticky tables and floors are disgusting and it's EVERY time now. The newest Thai and Japanese fusion is open in the Sachse area. We had a fantastic lunch here at Yoko. Parking is ample, it's located next to the Premium liquor store off Bunker Hill. In fact, the entire strip is brand new. Interior: the ambiance is stunning. It feels like you've walked into a different city altogether as soon as you walk in. There's a bright, grandiose mural along the back wall that just draws your eyes towards it. What we got: a bit of everything. My combo shrimp, chicken, and beef pad Thai was good. I added chili oil on the side. My husband ordered tons of different sushi's, the sashimi was great. We visited during lunchtime but noticed that the happy hour had some interesting deals so we promised to come back to try the cocktails. OBSESSED with this new restaurant! You have to try it. I highly recommend it for date night, family dinner, or happy hour with friends. It's located in a little shopping strip. The restaurant has very unique wall decor. The lighting is very warm. Our service was phenomenal. Our waitress took good care of us and kept our water glasses full and checked in with us throughout our meal to ensure we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the spicy garlic edamame. It had loads of flavor. Miso soup came out at just the right temperature. Ginger salad was fresh and in a huge bowl! The Roll 78 was delicious. The spicy basil was okay. We saw that it recently opened and went in for dinner on easter Sunday. Everything tasted great. I'm most excited for higher quality nigiri more local to Sachse/Wylie. I generally drive to Plano or Dallas for high quality nigiri. I tried seared salmon, trio seared scallops, and sweet shrimp. It was deliciousss. Then ten min later, my daughter's roll came out and then My rolls were served 20 min later!!! When I asked about my food, our female server says it was because of all the "to go" orders. Went to Yoko for the 6th or 7th time the other evening, and the food is consistently good. (A little pricey, but high quality, clean, and tasty - so it's a bit "you get what you pay for."). We've found it's perfect to go a bit off peak hours as we never have trouble getting in and seated before or after the dinner rush. The yellow curry, the papaya salad, the various sushi rolls - all fantastic. We also love that they also have a nice selection of delicious "riceless" sushi rolls, for people needing to cut out rice/starch from their diets. The restaurant is clean, modern, bright and airy. This is one of our favorite neighborhood spots to grab a guaranteed tasty meal. read more

The yum woon sen was not yum. It was very limey and the noods were so sticky, it was difficult to eat and pull them apart. Somehow there were pieces of chicken that was tiny and crumbled. The spicy Salmon was so different without Sriracha. I ordered one with Sriracha and one without on DoorDash and they looked and tasted the same... too spicy. I also did not care for the spice in the pineapple fried rice. I chose mild and it tasted like they just sprinkled pepper flakes in and mixed it in after it was done cooking... not cooked in and too powerful. This cozy sushi spot was absolutely delicious! I saw the buzz online about this new spot and we had to try it. The menu has a great variety of dishes from sushi to noodles and fried rice options. The sushi rolls we got were extremely fresh. The best & prettiest roll was the toyoura. The flavors complimented each other nicely. Another dish that stole the show was the papaya salad. It was a well-rounded dish and a great starter before we dug into all the entrees. Other dishes we tried were the oceanic fried rice that had many pieces of seafood in it. We also tried the pineapple fried rice that was lightly sweetened with the pineapple. The shrimp bang bang was also interesting because they wrapped noodle around before frying it. It was the crispiest shrimp we had. For dessert, we had the fried banana ice cream and that was a perfect light dessert to end a great meal. I'm a regular customer here and I come in at least 2-3 times a week. Unfortunately I came in one day and forgot to ask for an alteration on a roll and they wanted to charge me for both rolls to make a new one even though I was not able to eat the original one because I have an allergy. Did my research and ordered the spicy garlic edamame(very good), Sachse U (good), Roll 78 (amazing, the lemon hit perfect on the finish), pad Thai (good and balanced but missed the heat), and we then ordered more because we were so impressed and got the Royce Roll (very good, wife preferred it without the lemon, but I thought it was well balanced and light while not lacking substance).
