This Korean restaurant was delicious and the portions were amazing! The ambience and service here were also great! My bibimbap bowl was huge and there were many veggie toppings on mine and a fried egg in the shape of a heart. They give you a bibimbap sauce to drizzle over your rice bowl that made it so yummy. My husband got the bulgogi platter with japchae (glass noodles). It came with cabbage and saajmang sauce and was so good. All the banchan side dishes (pickled radish, fish cake, and kimchi) were great as well. Sung was so nice and it was great talking to him for a while! Can't wait to be back. Definitely give this place your support!!

Hot pot bibim-bop with beef

Me and the hubs stepped in for a mid-week lunch date and it was super yummy! You know it's authentic because the only other people we saw coming in were Korean - speaks volumes! We had their steamed dumplings and Yang-Neum chicken as appetizers and shared their hot pot-style bibim-bot meal. It came with all sorts of pickled veggies - the daikon radish and cucumbers were my favorite! The hot pot made the rice crispy on the bottom which was perfect!! It's fun to try new cuisines and we really enjoyed the flavors. Knocking one star off because our bowl didn't have much beef in it, could have used more for the price point. Also would have liked to hear Korean music rather than a soap opera playing, but that's minor!

What a lovely and intimate place to come in and enjoy either pickup or a quiet lunch/dinner. We stopped in without reading the sign on the door that suggests you to call and make a reservation due to the tight space/being short staffed. That was okay since it was our fist time and we were fine with placing our dinner to go. We had the bbq chicken burrito and beef burrito. The chicken fried rice, dumplings, and a fried cheese roll. All in all the food was good. We were expecting a bit more of a kick in the spices but we're also trying to train our brains into being expectant of all types of flavoring. Can't wait to try their bulgolgi pizza next time!

Jajang Udon

Went here for a social dinner with coworkers and it's a bit hit and miss. Items: mandu - delicious! Very lightly savory and perfectly steamed. I enjoyed them! I didn't take a picture since they look pretty normal but they arrive in a steamer basket. yangneum chicken - was okay..? Not really what I expected. It's supposed to be a sweet, spicy, gochujang/garlic chicken but it was more like a honey garlic chicken with lots of peanuts. I liked the peanuts texture but it wasn't spicy or salty, only sweet. And the chicken was good texture but rather flavorless. I took it home and cut it up to put in fried rice bibimbap - I didn't try this but my coworker enjoyed it Jajang udon - the concept is fine - The owner felt inspired to do a fusion type dish and likes the thick udon noodles with the jajang black bean sauce. The execution wasn't my favorite. The sauce needs to be less viscous because otherwise the noodles get knotted together and it's hard to eat. I asked for spicy and wow - the sauce flavor was 90% Serrano pepper and 10% sugar. There was no salt, no savory flavor. It was rather flavorless. I actually couldn't eat it. Took it home and added chicken stock concentrate and a little water to make it flavored. This shop is really cute! The owners are kind and the food is well-presented. I think the base of the dishes are all good here, at least from what we tasted, but the flavors were all over the place. I hope that the next time I visit there will be more savory/salty/bold flavors :)

Spicy Pork Bulgogi with Jap-Che Platter

decent spot for Korean food if you're in the area. Seems like it's a family owned spot! The owner was nice and chatty. He was also the one taking our orders and serving our food. I believe his wife is the chef. The portion sizes are pretty generous! The owner explained the choices behind some of the dishes - I.e why they choose to use a different type of rice cake (I.e. flat instead of cylindrical). While some of the choices weren't my personal preference, I can appreciate the thought process.

Bulgogi with Rice and Jap-Che Platter

Let me start by saying my family is a Korean foodie family. We've probably tried 85% of the Korean eateries in DFW. We were in Sachse and looking for a late lunch. I'd seen the Yelp reviews for Bop Joa, so we gave it a try. What a pleasant surprise! You don't equate Sachse with great Korean food, but they sure have it! It's a small place, about six tables and an active carry out. While they do some "fusion", we stuck with the traditional. Beef bulgogi, spicy pork bulgogi, jap chae, vegetable pancake and pork dumplings. The meal came with white rice and the traditional non chon or sides of pickled vegetables, kimchi and fish cake. The food was outstanding. Every single thing we ordered was as good as you'd find at the best Korean places in Dallas or Carrollton. The service was great as well. Our server was friendly, fun and professional. Prices were extremely reasonable as well. Bop Joa may be a little far from home, but I'll go back for their food and friendly atmosphere.

Chicken Fried Rice

We went here for while looking for some good dumplings and we couldn't have found a better place, the dumplings and fried rice were great, and the owner was super nice. He talked to us, and when there was a mix up in the kitchen he gave us another plate without charge. Overall the place is definitely a hidden gem. 10/10 would recommend (Pictured chicken fried rice)

Every Wednesday, Cashew's parents look for a date night away from the three monkies. I decided to give this restaurant another chance after they didn't serve us because they had a party that day, yet had their restaurant open. The place is located in a strip mall with many businesses, so parking can be an issue depending on the time you go to eat. We arrived and the place was empty. The young man is very friendly yet asks weird questions like, "Are you gonna eat?" This place has no menus, so you need to do a QR code. The bathroom is located in the back next to the kitchen. The young man suggested appetizers, and so cashew's mom asked for dumplings (5) appetizer. The dipping sauce truly helped the flavor of the dumplings, which are very small. I got the burrito and wife the chicken pieces. The burrito had a very nice mix of Korean flavor with Mexican style, and the chicken pieces had no flavor besides the dipping sauce. Cashew's mom liked the chicken pieces. The place is good and prices are adequate. The young man works hard and looks to make your stay a pleasant one, so I would recommend this place. I'm just careful. If it's full, they can't deal with large numbers.

Enjoy it; owned by a sweet couple. A little on the pricier side but I am sure rent is expensive.

I ordered three types of corn dogs; The Seoul Classic Dog, Spicy Dog, and Two Hands Dog. The Seoul Classic Dog was delightfully crispy covered in the right amount of sugar to balance the savory batter. The hot dog itself wasn't memorable and felt like it didn't really contribute to the overall to the construction of the corn dog. The meat itself felt like that person in a group project who doesn't really do the work but still gets shared credit with the group. The Spicy Dog featured a subtle heat that also had a spicy sausage however the two spicy elements together made it very one note and monotonous. The Two Hands Dog was carried by the ranch sauce. However the ranch compromised the crispiness of the corn dog. If the creaminess from the ranch could've could've somehow maintained the crispiness of the batter, it would've been a much higher score. Overall, it's not a bad place. It's a fun experience trying a Korean corn dog but I probably won't go out of my way to order this again.

I was helping my friend move here and we happened to just look up places near by. I gotta say I was genuinely surprised. We went around 8:30 and the place was pretty dead but realized they were a newer place that just opened recently. The service was great and the server was super welcoming. The menu is big and they don't have certain things probably because it's a newer location or just cause into Frisco has it so make sure to ask. I ended up getting salmon belly sashimi, the tornado roll and the spicy salmon mania roll. The presentation on the sashimi was chefs kiss. It was too beautiful for me to eat but I just had to haha. The quality of the fish was amazing and so fresh. I'm not a roll guy because of the rice ratio at most places but the ratio was perfect and the size of the rolls were honestly bigger than I thought they would be. I haven't had rolls in so long and these did not disappoint. This place is super clean and nice inside. I wish I got a picture of the bar because it looked super nice but definitely give this place a try. Wish more people knew about this place. Not sure if it's cause I went about 2 hours before close but 10/10 experience.
