Besides the fact that it took 17 minutes for me to get the drink, the drink and boba itself was not bad. The boba isn't sweet and a little bit too chewy since usually boba is a bit more soft and chewy, so I'd assume it's probably pre-bought and not freshly made. Though i'm still confused why it took 17 minutes considering that there were only 3 customers. That and girl at the register is super quiet like speak up a little. I have ordered milk tea here several times and this is my honest review. Like others mentioned, their tapioca pearls can be a tad bit too chewy, so you can skip it and get jelly toppings instead. Their drinks are okay, and the preparation time doesn't take *too* long either. About decor, I would say it's fine on its own, maybe a bit of improvement here and there. A pretty convenient location if you're craving for tapioca milk tea so bad and it's just there in a corner. However, there are definitely better options out there. I requested my drink only contain the drink and the boba nothing else, I watched as the young girl put peach chunks in it and when I asked her to remove them as I had requested them out, she made it clear how much of an inconvenience it was (I felt bad because she had made me feel bad so I gave her a $5 tip on the side) . And when I took a sip of my drink I could tell there was WAY too much syrup in it. I went back up to order and purchase a different drink but this time I asked if I could only have HALF of the syrup used to make the drink and every girl that was working told me they were not allowed to do that? (I was at the garland location on Sunday the 26th of March) Every other boba place I've been too has been able to customize a drink for me. So I don't see what the problem with just only using half the syrup was. I decided to try to drink it but unfortunately the amount of syrup did not agree with my system and it made me sick. Me, standing in front of the store for the first time: "I mean. It's named after me, so it should be fine, right?" The store and service was great. The girls who were working the day I went did have the capability to smile and provide friendly service. They asked me if I'd been there before, if I wanted recommendations, etc. The storefront itself is *adorable* despite being a little cramped. All in all, the marketing is done well and the service is great. But now to the drinks. If I wanted a sugary drink I would have just gone to the vending machine and ordered a Mountain Dew. My usual order (mango green tea with double tapioca) was made WAY too sweet. Like, it tasted like Southern sweet tea with additional syrup on top. The order of "double" tapioca wasn't double at all. They're very sanitary and fast when making drinks, but here's my honest critics. The boba is very chewy, so if you dislike very chewy boba, maybe avoid getting boba. It's not my favorite boba store due to its "high" prices, where one large drink with boba was around 6$, while majority of the time for me is 4$ or 5$ for the same conditions. If you are in the firewheel area, this is the closest and only boba store around, kinda sad to say. The customer service is pretty eh at times, but it doesn't bother me much. Some more positive things though! The store decoration is very cute and fitting of the theme, plus they sell many different variations of drinks and sell macarons too! Consistency of the drinks have really fallen here. This was a staple spot for me and my siblings to go to the past years, but I think the high turnover rate and constantly getting new workers have made it hard for the drinks to come out consistent. The service is always friendly and the shop is decently clean. They do provide board games but a lot of them are missing pieces or are falling apart and extremely dirty (sticky). The tea based drinks are probably the way to go, as they're harder to mess up, in comparison to the milk tea drinks (syrup to milk tea ratios are hardly consistent now on each visit). We'll still probably come by this shop due to it's location, but it's not a place we highly anticipate going to as much anymore. read more

I'd say this place is pretty average. Inside Vivi bubble tea, the decor is all pink and filled with cute skull faces. The boba is not as sweet as other places. I had the 3Q milk tea and it was alright. It came with boba, jelly and pudding. The pudding was good. Their menu is pretty limited, but maybe I haven't found my perfect drink there yet. My friend told me she had it in NY and it was really good so if I have time I'll try to give it another chance. The drinks here are about 3/5 stars. The service is 1. The only Bobba tea place in the area so I can see why they stay in business. Always seems to be one of the owners here also the only one making the drinks. They have a cashier but I never see the cashier do more than just put bobba or other toppings in the cups. The male owner is slow. While one is being shaken he stands around and waits. He could be making other drinks as well but does not. I wish I could give negative stars. The customer service at this establishment is incredibly unprofessional and has no care for its patrons. I was in the shop trying to get a drink with my girlfriend. When we first walked in the two employees who were there never greeted us. They just proceeded to continue their conversation and pretended as if we never walked into the shop. After getting their attention so that they can take our order, a young women with glasses approached the counter to take our order. As we were giving our order to this employee, she stopped attending to us and focus all of her attention to a group of people that were walking outside the shop. I looked behind me to see what was going on, and when I turned back to the counter the young lady bolted from behind the counter to chase the group that was outside. This was a group of her friends that she had to go hug and completely abandon her job. As she left the counter she did not say excuse me or any indication that she had to run out the store. This is so incredibly rude and unprofessional. This young lady does not need to be working at this establishment, or maybe she wasn't trained on how to treat customers. Something needs to be done here. After this encounter, the second employee did not say anything to acknowledge what just happened or apologize. I could no longer do business with this establishment that has no care for customers so I left the shop. As I walked out, my girlfriend and I waited to confront the young lady with glasses while she was catching up with her friend. When we confronted her, she told us that she had taken our order, which was clearly impossible be cause my girlfriend hadn't even said why she wanted to get. THIS WAS THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. Do better because this is unacceptable. read more

Vivi's is an awesome boba place. A true asset to everyone in garland. There are so many different flavors to try from. This store is one of very few places that can make a mean taro slush. It's my favorite drink there, especially with bubbles! I love the inside as well. It's decorated nicely and it has cute chairs/sofas to sit at. We were excited to try something new, so we visited the Firewheel location. Ordered the tiramisu drink with bubbles. The drink was tasty, but the 'bubbles' were awful. Not awful tasting, but so chewy you couldn't chew them up. I literally chewed for 5 minutes and nothing, the 'bubble' wouldn't budge. I ended up having to spit all of them out. I decided to try this place because it's near my house, not because of the reviews. I came in with no expectations, but left pleasantly surprised. The shop is located down the street from AMC & next to I Heart Yogurt. When I walked in I was overwhelmed with pink; the whole shop was decorated in that color. It's also pretty small, but there are many places to sit. I ordered an oolong milk tea, passion fruit green tea & a milk green tea all with boba. The tea surprised me, it was actually really good; it has more tea than milk in the drink, which I love. However, the pearls were hard & tiny, which is the complete opposite of what I would've wanted. I could tell they tried to make the pearls good because they had their own sweetness to them instead of being bland. Maybe if they cooked them longer they would be bigger & more chewy?
