We tried few things which included the mango platter, banana nutella crepe and the rice pudding (or something along those lines). When you come into Mango Mango, keep in mind that you're paying for both the food and the look. Not only do they serve unique and hard-to-find desserts (such as the Black Sesame Paste Soup w/ Rice Balls) but also present them in a visually pleasing way to provide that "wow factor". No, three scoops of mango ice cream along with some mango pieces are not worth $6.50. But you're here for the whole experience. Aside from the Black Sesame Past Soup, I would highly recommend trying out one of their Mille Crepes. It's a slice of "cake" made from many layers of crepes stacked on top of one another. It has a unique texture that is in between a cake and a crepe. Very interesting. I would have loved to try the Green Tea Mille Crepe but it was already sold out when we arrived. Apparently this flavor runs out frequently so come earlier on in the day if you want one. I settled for the mango version instead but it was still pretty good. Their waffles are just waffles. Nothing special. While you can order take outs, Mango Mango is primarily a dine-in dessert place. You grab a menu, sit down, and then order at the counter. A friend wanted to try this place after binge watching too many crepe cake mukbangs. (I enjoy watching them too.) They don't have many vegan options at all but there's slushes and maybe one other. I love love love mango, and obviously this place has a ton of it. It is not my favorite dessert place, but it is decent. Of course, they have more than just mango desserts like green tea mille crepes, fruit drinks, slushies, durian etc etc. I also got a limited puppy ice cream for the photos. Sounds weird but it's basically just chocolate mousse ice cream in a shape of a dog. It looks so real that it is creepy and the frost on it makes the fur look even more real. It is about the size of your palm and is around $5. Surprisingly, it does tastes real good but it's so sad and horrifying to have to cut into a realistic looking pupper. Just do it for the photo lol. I got the Mango Mille Crepe and Mango Pancake Combo to split with a friend. This combo comes with a single slice of Mango Mille (a French crepe cake with Mango cream layered on the inside) and 2 small Mango "Pancakes" (soft crepes with whipped cream and fresh mango wrapped inside). The Mille Crepe Cake was covered with a mango syrup and mango bits and was moist and flavorful but not overly sugary. The Mango Pancakes were more simple but had generous chunks of mango inside. Overall, the mangoes were sweet and tasted fresh. I feel like Mango Mango has new and unique desserts that other dessert places do not so definitely come try them out. My fiance is a mango fanatic so finding out about this place was a treat for him. The menu looked amazing! They pretty much have every mango dessert you can think of.. The mango flavor of the actual cake was very light. But the topped fresh mango gave it a better mango flavor. It's about time a new Asian dessert place opened in Plano! Mango Mango is located next to Gong Cha and it looks like a Korean BBQ place is under construction too. (Can you see it now? As soon as we walked in I could smell durian (yes there are some durian items on the menu). This spiky exotic fruit has a very strong smell, and I'm sure if you're not familiar with it you'd want to walk straight out of the cafe. Stay lol. We got a number for a table, but the worker could not tell us how long the wait would be (guess people vary in their time of eating dessert). Luckily for us, the wait turned out to be 10-15 minutes. After securing a table, I had to get into another line to order which took 5-10 mins. You get a buzzer thing and when it lights up you pick up your tray of desserts at the front again. We ordered the first thing on the menu (it says Special on it and you gotta try a place's special). It was special mango sago (tasted like mango puree with mini tapioca balls), with mango chunks, tiny pomelo, and a scoop of mango ice cream. It really was delightfully refreshing and not too sweet at all, which was what I feared. The interior is really bright and luxurious (just check out their chairs). The only thing that would make this better is the flow of the place. The line to order food is really awkward due to tables in the center of the place and this pole. You really got to maneuver around people to order, pick up food, or go to the restroom. Their menu is extensive and a little overwhelming with mille crepes, sagos, hot desserts, drinks, sundaes, and more! I'm definitely coming back to try more of the menu. :) read more
