I'm visiting Vancouver for work and had the pleasure of finding this charming cafe nearby. The paninis and salads are made fresh everyday, and it shows! It's a convenient spot to grab a quick and delicious meal. The staff was friendly, and the owner makes an effort to say hi to the customers. Due to its central location downtown and welcoming atmosphere, I came back the next day to try their breakfast menu. Their muffins are baked there FRESH every morning- I recommend the banana chocolate chip :). The coffee was also up to par and a great complement to my pastry. I saw they had other warm breakfast items, I'll have to try them next time!

These are the hardest reviews to write. This is a very nondescript kind of place. The sandwiches are OK, nothing fancy. The mushroom potatoe soup was not very good - way to sour for some reason. The tables were not clean, but I made some amends and sat down. There is a large TV for lonely diners that dont want to people watch. Dont go here but if you are in the area and need a quick bite it may work.

This cafe is just a nice place to grab lunch when you're in the business district. They've got all the basics - soups, sandwiches, coffee - plus just inside the door there's a big case of drinks, ready-made sandwiches, and salads to grab and go. It's around the corner from the office where my friend works, so this is the place we go when we just want to get sandwiches and walk around and chat for a bit. For about $6.50, I can get a huge wedge of panini sandwich oozing with Brie cheese and stuffed with fresh, hot tomatoes. It's wrapped in foil, rather than nasty styrofoam, for ease of walking, talking and eating all at the same time. My freelancer's version of multitasking! (Note: get napkins.) It's also a good place for eating in, as there are high ceilings, art, and free newspapers aplenty. Or just watch the businessmen go by.

Great food for great value in downtown Vancouver, not to mention plenty of healthy options as well. Joe and his staff have bought Mangez Mangez and have been running it for a few months now, before which they were at Kawaha Cafe around the corner before they moved. Joe is super friendly and his staff are all very sweet. I love their wild mushroom soup among all their different options, but you can't go wrong with any of them. The soups are all made in house from scratch and have quality ingredients, which is why I don't mind paying a little more (about $7 for a large soup). Today I got the Santa Fe chicken salad, which I've had a few times. With taxes it's $6 and is a decent sized salad. Nothing to fancy going on here but a solid salad that I can't complain about. There's pasta salad options, quinoa salads, cous cous salads and more along with sandwiches, not to mention their fantastic breakfast sandwiches as well. This is a place I frequent when I want a quick, healthy, and fairly priced meal that's steps from my office. Highly recommended.

    Great selection of warm paninis.

Gosh it absolutely did not disappoint & I should have ordered another one! The taste of this sandwich was so delicious, I couldn't chew it fast enough. The cabbage, tartar sauce & fish-katsu sauce are delightful together. This food truck is located right at Canada Line subway station - Vancouver Centre Station - main entrance on Georgia at Granville. You'll notice it when you come up the escalator & turn right onto the Granville Mall. Basically it's right near Nordstrom. I don't know if I'll bother with the other sandwich options cause I just love the Fish-Katsu that much. It's a very small simple sandwich. Nothing really fancy to it at all, but the taste utterly rocks. So glad I tried it & I can't wait to go back!

I got the gyu-katsu sandwich. I found the sandwich a bit small and for the price, it was pretty expensive. $16 after tax. Don't get me wrong. It was tasty. I found it nothing wow. The beef was cut in a certain way that it remained as one piece to make it easier to season. The gyu katsu is their more popular sandwich. However, it doesn't come with any lettuce or anything other than the beef and sauce. The bread was nothing special. It was basically thin regular bread. It does take them about 10 mins to make the sandwich. In terms of the way they serve it, it was presented to me nicely and the box was made to perfectly fit the sando inside. Not a bad sandwich but it was just pretty pricy.
