We called in advance for pick up during work lunch. I ordered Classic Chicken Pesto on multigrain bread. That is one tasty sandwich! Slow roasted free range chicken with house pesto mayo spread, provolone, tangy sun-dried tomato, shaved red onions and arugula. Delicious! My coworker raved about the variety of sandwich options.

Great coffee! I was on a 45 min wait to be seated next door for brunch, I thought why not grab a coffee while we wait. Great little cafe, also offers snacks and sandwiches. Handful of seating inside and if you're lucky a table outside.

S'wich is located in a residential area beside 4Cats Studio. From the amount of high ratings, I expected some amazing quality sandwiches, but I thought they were decent. We ordered the Pesto Chicken (Free Range Chicken With House Pesto Spread, Provolone, Tangy Sundried Tomato, Shaved Red Onion and Arugula) and TBC (Herb Crusted Oven Roasted Turkey Breast, Creamy French Brie, Cranberry Orange Jam, Shaved Red Onions, Arugula, Chilli Garlic Spread, Sweet & Heat Mustard). Both were fine, but for $12.50 I expected something more amazing. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the quality ingredients, but it needed a little extra sauce or extra meat? Coffee needs a 180 though as the Americano was horribly watered down/weak.

You want a place that makes a delicious sammich, and has wicked staff? You found your spot. They have a large assortment of sammies. There's gotta be something to satisfy everyone's craving, even a vegan option. White or multigrain bread to choose from. AND they have a proper coffee bar with espresso machine. Just roll up and place your order, sip your coffee while you wait (it won't be long. They'll actually run it outside to you while you wait. Check out my ridiculous video review of the Immaculate Sanchez sammich: https://youtu.be/yCD7hdhJN1Y

We discovered this place while waiting for a table at Blvd Bistro next door last weekend, so this weekend we thought we'd come have lunch. The sandwiches on the menu all sound great. I had a three cheese ham sandwich with a potato bacon salad and it was very good. My partner had the Moroccan chicken sandwich and a chick pea salad which he loved. It's a nice comfy rustic little cafe in a North Van neighbourhood. You should check it out.

Make sure you try the lobster bisque as it's one of the meatiest I've had to date; full of that shellfish flavour. The French onion soup is an eye catcher but the broth could use a bit more richness and flavour. Beef bourignon was suggested and I'm glad I took the friendly waitress' recommendation as it was a warm hug on a deep plate. I'd opt to swap for roasted potatoes instead of the mash but the mash does soak up all that delicious stew. The jambalaya is full of different proteins and if you're a fan of that, then I'd make sure to eat this perfectly cooked rice dish. I finished off with a banana bread pudding which was exactly that, banana bread in that bread pudding form; Personally I was hoping for bread pudding that was banana flavoured but it was still ooey gooey goodness. Burgoo should be packed to the brim with this menu for these prices and the friendliness of the staff!

We must like it, we even bought their cookbook to try some of the recipes, especially the Fondumental, which dragged us back there again and again. It wasn't nearly as plentiful or as yummy as we remembered it, but it's still good. The sandwiches and soups have always been rib sticking and tasty. The ambiance has remained the same over the years, a little dark, but the fireplace and the vintage posters are cool. Our server Gary was excellent, Johnny on the spot with all that we were looking for. Their wine and beer is all local, which is a thing these days. My lobster bisque with the FAB salad hit the spot, and the bread piece was exceptional. The lovely K had the onion soup which she liked although said it could use a little more salt. If you want to enjoy a hearty meal on the North Shore down by the water, but not on the water, give it a try, you will not be disappointed!
