Service was polite and quick. You get what you need with a smile! Downside with their giant sandwiches is the inflated price. Best spot on the north shore for Persian style sandwiches. They have a variety of cold and hot sandwiches. I personally prefer their cold sandwiches that have chips. Their sandwiches are perfect for takeout and summer picnics or beach days. They also have a few delicious appetizers you can choose from, including Persian nachos called Chips & Cheese. One thing to keep in mind is that they don't have that many seats available. Have managed to mess up my order twice in three days. Have been there in person to order for takeout. Gave crystal clear instructions as to what to leave off, but whoever is making the food has been repeatedly incompetent in following these instructions. This is a safety hazard in the instance that this was an allergy issue, and not just a food preference. I really want to give this place a 5 star, based on the sandwiches, but can give the over all place anywhere near that. The sandwich I had the Royal Haida was fantastic. The bread warm and fresh, even though a friend brought it over through the snow. Still fantastic! But the rest of the food just wasn't anywhere near as good. It just didn't make sense. The pizza no bueno. The burger, smeared in the 'secret sauce' that wasn't much of a secret, extra Mayo in the 1000 island. I am so glad to try this place. I had the Haida Royal my partner had the chicken special. Still thinking about it right now. The bread is so crispy and fresh like how you get in a Banh mi , veggies all fresh(mushrooms are canned but I didn't mind) , the sauce has just a slight spice. If you can, eat it right away in your car, the satisfactory breaking of the sandwich in half, and the moment your teeth hit that fresh crunch of the bread. Mmm . Came for lunch and was completely satisfied. Had the roast beef sandwich and it was packed with meat, bun was toasted nicely and just overall delicious. Came back another day and had the chicken burger and also received a free appetizer from rewards points. I ordered the honey garlic wings. The sandwich itself was delicious, the only negative comment I'd say is that they forgot the potato sticks! but still it was really good combination of cold cuts. I walked by and truthfully I thought I was getting a donair type of sandwich. Which is what I really wanted. I assumed that the Persian writing coupled with sandwiches would immediately mean a pita style sandwich. Wrong. The places serves Sub Sandwiches and Pizza as well as salads, bowls of corn and a few other things I was not familiar with. I ordered the half Haida sub which contained several types of sliced meat in the cold cut style but different. It was also loaded with lettuce, tomato's and potato sticks. That's right, those potato sticks you usually eat out of a bag and are seasoned with hickory. It was different, not in a bad way. I didn't mind it. I wouldn't ask for it as a topping but it worked. Now the half sub was huge and the bread was the best I've ever had for white sub type bread. Really good. Its delivered with squeeze containers of white sauce [I asked if it was mayonnaise, he said kind of..] hot sauce and ketchup. Quite a few of the subs come with ketchup so be warned. They also have a list of hot subs with cheese. I asked him if the whole sub was twice as big, he said yes which is ridiculous as I was stuffed off my half. They also do Pizza . They are apparently the largest fast food chain in the middle east. The service was fast friendly and very clean. It beat the hell out of subway but I don't think its fair to compare the two. I'm not Persian, but I love Persian food, expecially since I've been exposed to so many Persian restaurants, as I live in NorthVan. However, since their opening day, Haida failed to impress me. Yes, they came up in the area with an original concept. Yes, they serve huge sandwiches. But they are also more expensive. And they have too much sauce... I tried their pizza yesterday and, neah, I found it pretty ordinary. The crust was like not so fresh bread and, for a medium sized pizza, $20 (with tip included) was a bit too much. I think I'll continue to try something from them once in a while, but with no special enthusiasm. read more

I noticed people said it was pricey but the price is the equivalent of subway or any other fast food establishment and this sandwich was definitely better tasting, larger in size and fresher. Ordered once from here before for delivery last week. They were late because they wrote the address down wrong. Then once the man left, we noticed there was no pita bread with our 2 orders of yogurt (which is automatically supposed to come with it but we asked and made sure anyways.) We then called back to let them know there was no pita bread, they apologized, said they wouldn't come back but asked for a phone number for a discount in the future. This was fine, but I called back this week and the "Manager" said he has no way to look back into records, was short with me, not willing to look into who had made the order even though I had a date and time... and said there was nothing he could do. Change up your management to someone who knows what they're doing, because it has cost you a few customers. read more
