Best Chinese food in Utah. We have Mandarin at least once a week minimum. My only complaint is the front guy desk has told us a couple of times that they do not make the cashew chicken spicy, and I've had to explain that they do we have been getting the same order from Mandarin for the last 7 years. Ok. I was told about this restaurant a few years ago. A co-worker told me about it and said it was best Chinese food in Utah but I never got the chance to try it out until now. We just moved to Bountiful and thought it was about time we try it out. The parking lot was packed when we pulled up at 715 on a Sat and thought we may have to wait a while but we were seated within two mins. You may have a longer wait if you have a large group but the two of us were able to get seated right away. Server Kristen came up to us shortly after we were seated and took our drink orders and we put in a quick order of Vegetable Spring Rolls while we perused the 5pgs of options for our entree. When she came back my fiancé asked for recommendation between two dishes and she gave an honest opinion which I appreciate. He wound up ordering the Schezwan Lamb and I got the Sweet and sour chicken without the almonds. The egg rolls were delicious. Perfect flaky crisp outer shell and the center was chock full of fresh veggies. The shell was a bit greasy but still good. The Schezwan Lamb was unlike anything he's ever had and the sauce was slightly sweet and very savory with a spice to it. The lamb was great. Incredibly tender. Great flavor in the whole dish. The sweet and sour chicken came out as two chicken breasts that were then battered and fried with the sauce poured over the whole plate (as opposed to the usual nugget style pieces of chicken that are deep fried). The chicken was super tender and cooked all the way through. The sauce was more on the orange color side than the usual bright reddish pink sauce I'm used to. It was a bit thick but really flavorful and not overpowering at all. It really complimented the chicken. The only negatives were that the dining room was super loud and sound reverberates, and the fact that the dishes are over $10 and don't come with rice. We had to pay extra (1.50)to get brown rice with our meals. I've never seen that before where an entree doesn't come with rice. Why would I want a thick sauce chicken without the rice to compliment? But regardless the meal was delicious and we enjoyed every bite. Service was stellar not only from Kristen but from the other staff members walking around to clear tables and refill waters. The decor is incredible and beautiful. So detailed. Under 40 for the two of us to eat entrees and one app with an iced tea and a reed's ginger ale (3.50). Overall really good but I wouldn't say it's the best I've had in Utah. read more

I absolutely love coming here. Came tonight and it was almost great. Our server Erin was so awesome and the food so good! The only bad part was the lady coughing up a lung and exiting maskless. I'm surprised she wasn't asked to leave. Why take such high precaution if this type of person is coughing through her dinner into her hand and licking her fingers eating, most likely touching doors as she leaves. It was sickening. I have a friend on 100% oxygen in the hospital because of covid yet this person is allowed to come into an establishment that is taking every pre-caution but makes exceptions for people that refuse to wear a mask. We try to get takeout there usually every 6 weeks or so. We have never cone away unhappy. wife loves the singapore noodles with all the different meats with just the right touch of curry. I have tried almost all the noodle entrees, most of the chicken and pork entrees and usually decide based on the feelings of the night. I almost always get char shu pork fried rice which is beyond delicious. Sometimes i just get that and eat the whole container. Not healthy but oh so delicious.! read more

We made reservations in advance but still had to wait a little bit but it wasn't a long wait. Food was very fresh and they brought out each dish when it was done so it was nice and hot for us, we loved that! Service was flawless and the server was on top of it, water was filled fast and the drinks we ordered from the bar were delicious. I was surprised to see they don't offer the most basic Chinese foods such as Lo Mein or salt and pepper calamari (my favorite Chinese dish of all time). This place gets two stars for the friendly and attentive staff. We ordered 5 dishes to try, and not even the general Tso chicken has captured the Chinese flavor. Giving this a 3 out of 5 stars because their service was way better than their food. We had Jenny and she was a wonderful waitress, giving us a pleasant experience with their service. Gluten Free Chinese Food!! It's pretty rare to find, and the Mandarin does a great job of it. They have a dedicated gluten free menu (pictured) and are very knowledgeable about gluten allergies, as well as other food allergies. I'd been looking forward to eating here for quite some time. I'd heard nothing but great things about the food. So we finally took a trip to Bountiful to try it out. First off, they've done a great job at making things work during Covid. We were able to get seated quickly and were adequately spaced from the other customers. Also, service was great. Our server took good care of us. Now, the food. Again, I think this may have been over hyped. I probably went in with super high expectations. But, I wasn't blown away. I did love the walnut chicken, but that was about it. Everything else was a bit bland. I so wanted to have a great experience, but left a little disappointed. All of us in our group felt the same.
