Crawfish
Alice D.

We were curious what a buffet would be like here in Chelsea and didn't leave disappointed - the price point is definitely the most enticing here and worth it in my opinion! We came on a Sunday for dinner and the place was pretty busy - most tables were full, but there was always at least one table free at all times so no real wait. Service was okay with refilling drinks, but plates were cleared pretty often. The food selection is decent, good variety of dishes and refilled frequently. The crawfish is definitely the draw of the place - every time it came out, a line would suddenly appear and the pan would be emptied within a few minutes. We also saw a table exclusively only eating the crawfish which was pretty funny. Desserts were plentiful and while the ice cream was a little suspicious given there was only one scooper and anyone could grab it, I still enjoyed it as a nice treat. Overall, we left satisfied - amazing price, decent food, okay ambiance (felt a bit dirty, but it's a buffet); would definitely come back if looking for a cheap meal!

Exactly what you'd expect from a buffet, from the variety of foods, fruits, and desserts, right down to the selection of ice creams. I was surprised to find a sushi bar though. I enjoyed my meal, which was a great price for the amount of food you can get!

Great spot - nice variety of sushi - my fave- lots of choices at the buffet table - constantly refilled and fresh !!! Plenty of desserts too !!! Ice cream - cakes - banana cream pie- and lots of fresh fruit !! We love it here so much more than the other buffet !!! Mandarin is a smaller more intimate setting - staff is very accommodating and always polite cheerful- service is great !!! Everything is clean including the spotless bathrooms They servers work hard and although it's a buffet - you should definitely tip them !! They make sure your table is clean- drinks are full and all with a cheerful attitude !!! If you haven't been- def go !! You'll love it !

Good Buffet fare.

Very fresh american chinese food buffet with a sushi bar included and some really good hot and sour soup my only complaint is the variety there is a very limited choice. So 3.5.

This was my first buffet visit in months and it was nice to see what new safety protocols the restaurant was taking. The waitresses were all wearing gloves and masks and there was tape and Do Not Sit signs at every other table. Instead of the customer serving themselves, a server would do it for us which made us feel better. A couple of our food items were really cold but overall good food and good service and great effort in keeping the customer safe !

I like 3 Stars, but dont like that 3 Stars is A-Ok, Im somwhere between Meh & Allright!!! I do agree with other people they are pretty much sitting at your table with you trying to rush you out, I had nearly put down my fork & they were there to grab the plate, like dude.. Maybe I wanted to lick up all the sauce... The food was what you would expect... Some looked like it had been sitting there all day & the more visited things were constantly replaced... The fruit didnt seem the freshest ever, the sushi selection was good... I hate that water is free but you give me the smallest possible glass on earth! Im gonna bring my own from now on... It was ok, now Im hungry so for some odd reason I want to go RIGHT NOW... But ugh!

Nothing special. Cheap quality not fresh food. Sticky floors. There is a charge $1 dollar per person for hot tea.

Service was good but food was mediocre. It was later in the afternoon so might have been a factor but nothing really wowed us.

The combination of it being limited seating (it holds less than 20 people) and being a popular spot makes it quite hard to get in without a long wait, so I would recommend right when it opens. Food wise, we got the Squid Ink Pasta and Calamari. The calamari was the perfect combination of crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside, which I find a lot of restaurants don't do a great job of doing. The squid ink pasta was also delicious and on par with any quality Italian restaurants in NYC. I would come back again if I'm ever in the Boston area and want a nice Italian restaurant. Also this place is CASH ONLY so be prepared before coming.

We ordered mussels and calamari for an appetizer which they loved. We agreed to share and got my favorite, a full order of the black pasta Alfredo. They wanted to try the black pasta with the calamari (I forgot the name) and the monkfish. And of course, everyone liked the black pasta Alfredo the best. The black pasta with the chopped up calamari was good, but wasn't a wow. The monkfish was sweet. Kind of reminded me of caramel corn after taste. I will stick with the black pasta and Alfredo.

It was recommended we check this place out considering it was walking distance from our hotel. We…read moretried a warm butter lobster roll at another restaurant and it wasn't bad. I've never been into cold mayo ones. This time we tried the cold mayo one and it was delicious. Changed my perspective about lobster rolls. This place has limited seating inside and some seating outside. I was bummed they didn't have french fries but it was fine. I took it togo so service wasn't something I could rate. Highly recommend these folks!

First time in Boston, so of course--lobster rolls were a must…read more We stopped in at this spot, which sits right on a busy street, giving it that classic touristy energy. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by live crabs on display, which definitely adds to the experience. That said, it was surprisingly warm inside, so we opted to sit outside where there were plenty of tables and a much more comfortable breeze. Taking a look at the menu, the lobster rolls were... pretty steep. We decided to share one and round it out with a few sides--clam chowder, potato salad, a jumbo crab cake, and 2 cans of soda. For everything we ordered, the total came out to around $90, which definitely made us pause for a moment. Overall, I'm glad we went this route of sharing a The lobster roll, while decent, didn't quite justify the ~$40 price tag for its size. It felt more like we were paying for the location and "Boston experience" than the flavor itself. The standouts for me were actually the sides--the crab cake was flavorful with a nice texture, and the clam chowder was rich, creamy, and comforting. All in all, it checked the "first lobster roll in Boston" box, but I was very happy we only ordered one to share. Sometimes the touristy spots are more about the experience than the wow factor--and this felt like one of those moments.
