Exactly what you'd expect from a buffet, from the variety of foods, fruits, and desserts, right down to the selection of ice creams. I was surprised to find a sushi bar though. I enjoyed my meal, which was a great price for the amount of food you can get!

Great spot - nice variety of sushi - my fave- lots of choices at the buffet table - constantly refilled and fresh !!! Plenty of desserts too !!! Ice cream - cakes - banana cream pie- and lots of fresh fruit !! We love it here so much more than the other buffet !!! Mandarin is a smaller more intimate setting - staff is very accommodating and always polite cheerful- service is great !!! Everything is clean including the spotless bathrooms They servers work hard and although it's a buffet - you should definitely tip them !! They make sure your table is clean- drinks are full and all with a cheerful attitude !!! If you haven't been- def go !! You'll love it !

    Good Buffet fare.

Very fresh american chinese food buffet with a sushi bar included and some really good hot and sour soup my only complaint is the variety there is a very limited choice. So 3.5.

This was my first buffet visit in months and it was nice to see what new safety protocols the restaurant was taking. The waitresses were all wearing gloves and masks and there was tape and Do Not Sit signs at every other table. Instead of the customer serving themselves, a server would do it for us which made us feel better. A couple of our food items were really cold but overall good food and good service and great effort in keeping the customer safe !

I like 3 Stars, but dont like that 3 Stars is A-Ok, Im somwhere between Meh & Allright!!! I do agree with other people they are pretty much sitting at your table with you trying to rush you out, I had nearly put down my fork & they were there to grab the plate, like dude.. Maybe I wanted to lick up all the sauce... The food was what you would expect... Some looked like it had been sitting there all day & the more visited things were constantly replaced... The fruit didnt seem the freshest ever, the sushi selection was good... I hate that water is free but you give me the smallest possible glass on earth! Im gonna bring my own from now on... It was ok, now Im hungry so for some odd reason I want to go RIGHT NOW... But ugh!

Nothing special. Cheap quality not fresh food. Sticky floors. There is a charge $1 dollar per person for hot tea.

Service was good but food was mediocre. It was later in the afternoon so might have been a factor but nothing really wowed us.

Review of Chung Wag - A "Wag" of Disappointment…read more Rating: 2.4 - It's cheap Chinese food--set your expectations accordingly, but honestly? Skip this place. Ah, Chung Wag in Chelsea--where the décor is stuck in a 70s time warp, the cash-only policy hits harder than a surprise MSG headache, and the food... well, let's just say my taste buds filed a complaint. It was a rainy Friday night, and the cravings hit--the kind only cheap, greasy, glorious Asian food can satisfy. Apple Maps whispered sweet nothings about Chung Wag being a 7-minute drive away, with prices that screamed "Yes, you can afford rent AND takeout!" Foolish optimism, thy name is hunger. The vibe inside was part retro diner, part chaotic takeout hub--like if a Wong Kar-wai film had a budget cut. People milled about, some waiting for orders, others staring at the menu like it was the 'I Ching' (spoiler: no fortunes were revealed). After a quick cash-for-food exchange (pro tip: bring bills, not dreams), I was back in my car, assaulted by an aroma so strong it could've cleared my sinuses AND my regrets. Alas, the excitement was shorter than a takeout chopstick: - Queen's Chicken Curry Onions? More like Boiled chicken with Suspicious Veggies--those were not onions, my dude. - Scallion Pancake? Staler than bread left out two weeks ago. - Crab Rangoon? Packed with more garlic than two roasted vampire repellents. - Fried Chicken Fingers? The lone survivor--because even Chung Wag can't ruin deep-fried nostalgia. Our quest for good-cheap Asian food continues, but Chung Wag? More like Chung Nah.

I forgot how swanky looking the place was, and that still impressed. -- Egg Rolls: Cradled in a wicker basket, crisp on the outside, celery, and pork on the inside, a bit dry, but good flavor. A little above average. -- Spare Ribs on the bone: Painted on every surface with a nice char to complement the glaze. A thicker cut than most. Just like last time, they looked like a reheat, but still had very good texture (tender, moist) and decent enough flavor. Above average. -- Pork Egg Foo Yong: A trio of thick patties flooded with light brown sauce. Good crispness underneath. Soft and tender with big chunks of pork that wasn't dried out. Good overall flavor from the fry, the onions, and the pork, as well as the sauce. Near-elite to elite. -- Kung Pao Chicken: A little different here, with much larger shreds of chicken, a little darker than most, less celery and peanuts than most, a profusion of peppers, and pleasing spiciness to the soy-based sauce. Very enjoyable. Above average to well above average. -- Peking Noodles: A little different, and in a good way. More of a fine shred than a crumble, much spicier, and a little gloppier. Good feel to the egg noodles. I don't get this dish often enough to compare, but I enjoyed it. No OMG moments, but no complaints. Solid lunch, flavorful entrees, and I departed with a higher opinion than before. Upping to 4 stars.

With these delivery services, the oddity is that I'm not even aware of what city or town the restaurant is. So, they need to be stacked up against all the other Chinese available. It was late, and they were the place that was open. My friend and I ordered Ma Po Tofu, and Chicken with string beans. A moment after ordering, they phone to say they had no string beans, so we subbed in mushrooms. The mushrooms were not any sort of Asian mushroom, and there was no variety. These were regular, white, button mushrooms. We found them essentially uncooked. The Ma Po Tofu was, indeed, not Ma Po Tofu, although it shared some ingredients with it. Instead of silken tofu, this was extra firm. Typically, there is ground pork in it. While I didn't see any, I suppose there could have been a teaspoon of it, in there somewhere. The peppers were not correct either. The dish is famous for the use of Sichuan peppercorns (which are actually dried berries, not peppercorns). This gives the dish its signature "Ma La". Ma La is the balance between heat and numbing. There was fair heat, but no numbing at all. So, basically, it was extra firm tofu in brown sauce. Of the places in my town (Revere), Billy C's, Peter Woo's and Happy Garden are all better.

I was in town on business and made the fatal mistake of ordering from this restaurant. Not a…read moreregular mistake -- I mean the kind of mistake people reflect on during their final moments. If I ever do this again, assume I've given up on life. The wonton soup arrived with broccoli floating in it like someone panicked mid‑recipe and just started throwing produce at the pot. It tasted like someone boiled disappointment until it begged for mercy. I didn't know a liquid could taste like failure, but this soup managed it. The spring roll? Imagine chewing on a rolled‑up landscaping project. Zero flavor. Zero effort. Zero hope. I've had more satisfying bites accidentally inhaling air. And the bourbon chicken... sweet in the way a melted Halloween candy found under a car seat is sweet. It tasted like someone whispered the word "bourbon" over a bucket of sugar and called it a day. I've eaten gas station food that felt more handcrafted. This wasn't a meal. It was a cry for help from a kitchen that has clearly stopped believing in itself.
