The bacon was thick-cut, salty goodness, the sausage was packed with flavor, and the biscuits were light and fluffy. The sausage gravy was some of the best I've had, rich, hearty, and loaded with flavorful sausage. Whether you're staying in Islamorada or just passing through, I highly recommend stopping by Green Turtle Inn for breakfast. It's a great way to start the day in the Keys.

We were the only Hispanic guests, and the difference in treatment was hard to ignore. Whether intentional or not, it left us feeling unwelcome. From the hostess to the servers, the staff was rude and unwelcoming. There are much better restaurants in the area where guests are treated with respect. We won't be recommending Green Turtle Inn or returning.

Most importantly they are dog friendly ( no breed or weight restrictions) ; make sure your dog is well trained. We took our big boy and he felt like a prince with his complimentary Islander Bandana and fire hydrant poop bag dispenser; but he is a quiet boy and well behaved . The resort will not tolerate bad behaved dogs or barkers. So please don't ruin it for the rest of us that have well behaved, big dogs, get banned because others don't know how to control their own four legged children.

This was my first open-water dive after recently becoming certified, and to say I was nervous would…read morebe an understatement. I was genuinely worried that once we got in the water, I wouldn't be able to do it. From the moment we arrived at Sailfish Scuba, we were welcomed like old friends. The boat ride out was enjoyable, and the entire crew--from the dive guides to the captain--was incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and reassuring. My companion has more than 50 dives under his belt, so he gave T, the owner, a heads-up that this was my first dive and that I was pretty nervous. T got in the water with me and stayed by my side throughout our descent. When I started to feel that familiar panic setting in, he calmly kept me moving down while continuously checking on me and making sure I was okay. I'm so grateful he did. If I had been left to descend on my own, I honestly think I would have surfaced several times and possibly not completed the dive at all. Having T right there gave me the confidence I needed to push through that initial fear. Once I was down, everything changed. I became much more comfortable, and by the next three dives, I was able to descend completely on my own. My companion, who is an experienced diver, said Sailfish Scuba is one of the best dive companies he has ever been with--and after my experience, I completely understand why. The professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care this crew showed made such a huge difference for me as a new diver. I went from being terrified that I wouldn't be able to do the dive to finishing it feeling excited and confident about getting back in the water. We would absolutely recommend Sailfish Scuba to anyone, especially newer divers who may be feeling nervous or unsure of themselves. We can't wait to come back and dive with them again!

This was the second time I did one of River of Grass Adventure's boat tours. Both times, my guides…read more/ boat Captains were great. They are passionate about the Everglades, preserving it, and really love what they're doing. For about hour, we zipped and stopped around the park, through channels in between the high saw grass, over grassy flats, and within a few canals dredged many years ago. The fresh air felt great and I think maybe my blood pressure eased for a few moments. We saw wildlife, including a peregrine falcon, other birds and of course, many alligators, either resting on the grass or swimming off to do whatever it is they do. The guides I think know pretty much where to find the alligators, some of which have names. River of Grass is one of the first swamp tours west of Miami off of highway 41 past the casino. The boats take you pretty far into the Everglades where you don't see or hear any civilization, only the quiet rustle of the grass, i.e. when the engines are not powering the boat thru the glades (why can't they make a quieter engine?). Bonus--the bus had great AC, which we were very thankful for! When you arrive at the park, there are clean bathrooms, areas to walk around, and even a little general store for snacks, drinks, and souvenirs. Since the day was overcast with a light drizzle, we lucked out--apparently when it's too sunny, the gators dive underwater to cool off. This weather was perfect to see them out and about. Before boarding, they snap a professional photo that you can purchase later, then it's time to hop on the airboat. Our guide was a vibrant, knowledgeable young lady who clearly loved the Everglades. She knew her birds, plants, and most importantly--where to find the gators! At one point, we were surrounded by five gators swimming around us. We even spotted a vulture feeding on a deceased gator on shore--it felt like being in a National Geographic special. After the boat, the gator show begins. It's a slower pace but fascinating. The "Gator Boyz" are humane gator trappers who rescue and house these animals. Watching their interaction with the gators was both educational and thrilling. Huge respect for the work they do. The experience continues with a mini zoo featuring turtles, crocs, snakes, and monkeys. I couldn't resist snapping a photo holding a baby gator and even an albino snake! Keep in mind, the staff makes their living through tips and photo sales, so plan to tip your airboat captain, the gator show crew, and your driver. For the value of spending four hours exploring one of Florida's greatest natural wonders, it's more than reasonable. We had an unforgettable day surrounded by wildlife and the natural beauty of the Everglades. Highly recommend this tour if you want a true Florida adventure!!
