Unbelieve - shame the place - roaches infested it - the server all she did is step on it pick it up - place a plate to cover - I walk out - will call the local health Dept read more

love this place, fried rice & grilled seafood, what a great combo. Usually get the whole grilled snapper&octopus, both in scampi sauce, ask for extra lime and squeeze all over. not their fault, but its just so packed all the time so I avoid this place during busy hours, also service suffers cause the servers are super busy. read more

Amazing service !!!!!! Wonderful foood ! We left this restaurant happy plus knowing that Mexico won , Lupita was great at service really fast in the bar , glad that we finally got a mambo seafood by this area . They deserved more than read more

Food is good but service is lacking sometimes. Also not kid friendly. Kid's meal was only $4, but was charged $2.50 for kids drink. Drink was bad and son did not even drink it. Asked server and was told they did not have kids drink prices. So beware if you take kids and get them drinks. read more

The corona virus has taken a mediocre restaurant and turned it to crap. The food was cold and I asked for napkins and crackers which I never received. read more

Worst service tonight ever!!!! We waiting 45 minutes to sit down, then another once we sat down, we waited 30 mins for someone to help us, then another 40 mins for them to bring one plate which was a kids plate, another 30 mins for another plate! Why do you serve one plate at a time! If people go out to eat, it's because they want to spend time with their family/friends and eat all at the same time! Our food was cold so I had to ask for a manager to inform her! The shrimp, and rice was cold, the fish was burnt and cold! The service was bad!!! If you want to eat separately and not at the same time, the this is the place! read more

This just wasn't my cup of tea. I'm rying to stay off fried food which is the majority of food here. The shrimp cocktails completely different than wwe are used to & not as good. The Mambo fried rice was the best part of the meal - but since it was fried, I couldn't eat much. I'd go somewhere else for good seafood. read more

They don't serve whiskey. However, I gave it a go and I'm so glad I did! Big fresh shrimp got the party started as an appetizer. The red snapper joined us for dinner and it was outstanding. You can choose fried or grilled, we went with grilled and vegetables. The food just melted in our mouths. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their menu and will tell you what they like as well. We loved it and will be back shortly! If you want excellent food, give them a try! read more

Omg the price is great, the food is amazing and the service is outstanding! Just moved to Texas and I found my favorite seafood place to go

Got seated right away choosing to seat outside instead of waiting. Manager Javier brought my husband a more comfortable chair as he's a larger man before we even sat down. Waitress Bic was promptly to our table and took our order right away. Her knowledge of the menu was perfect. Food was outstanding as was the atmosphere. We will be back. read more

Huge portions, consistent taste, and great service. My husband and I ordered takeout by phone and it was ready within the 20-25 min window that they had told me on the phone. I only wish that they set up some sort of online ordering system in the near future. It's a very loud restaurant, so I worry about potential errors with people's phone orders because of the noise factor. Other than that, the food is amazing and be sure to try the famous shrimp fried rice if you've never visited before. It's a MUST. read more

Amazing!! Cool gem of a place perfect for the whole family. The margaritas were delicious. The Mambo Garlic shrimp is a definite pleaser... I even put the sauce on my fried rice. The place was packed and full of energy. Wait for a table was minimal and the service excellent . Great food. Great prices. Will be back soon.. maybe even tomorrow!! read more

If you love frozen food heated up this is the place for you. I had the mixed grilled plate and was very disappointed. The fish was like mush but had great faux grill marks. Wife had the Shrimp cocktail and said it was ok but was not as good as what she used to. We will just keep eating at Captain Toms on the other side of the freeway. read more

Excellent attention by Sonia. She immediately cleaned up a table to sit us. Much appreciated it considering that we are visiting from Dallas and should be back this afternoon. The food is so delicious. read more

Very disappointed in this place, management does not care about customers plain and simple, we sat waiting for a booth for 20 minutes just to be told by the waitress they did not have oysters at all, a simple sign at the door would have been enough for is not to waste our time, needless to say we left... a seafood place without seafood, now I have seen it all... read more

really disappointed the last few times i've gone! food takes a really long time and waitress even forgot to put my order in this time i went, had to get it to go because it took forever. service definitely needs some improvement. read more

Great latin inexpensive seafood place. Staff is so friendly and attentive. The manager is always on the move making sure everyone is being well taken care of. He even stopped by after we were finished just to converse.the atmosphere is very welcoming with latin music playing in the background. I order a #1 which came with 2 crispy yet moist fish filets,6 fried shimp(not jumbo shrimp) and mambos shrimp fried rice . It's a latin version of Chinese fried rice. I've been to other mambos so I had an idea of what to expect. This location did not disappoint with the classic #1. We also ordered the vuelve a la vida soup. It's a very delicious seafood soup that includes fish, shrimp, pulpo(octopus), and oyster. Great for hangovers or if you're feeling under the weather. Lastly, we ordered a #2 which has 6 shrimp(not jumbo) and mambo rice. Great place for families or to go with some buddys for some beers or micheladas. read more

Food was Amazing! Customer service was really bad. got here and 5 girls were standing by the bar and took them at least 10 minutes to come serve me. read more

Mambo Seafood's dishes are always so delicious. The empanadas are perfectly crispy and soft at the same time and their fried rice is stellar. The restaurant is constantly slammed because of the high quality of fish so we sat up at the bar this time and Celestina and Tony killed it! The Salmon Chicharron is currently a temporary item but I hope they keep it!!!! ORDER IT read more

Fries are soggy. Fried seafood is soggy tasting. Would not recommend. Best dish is the fried rice which is average at best. Still don't see how this place is operating. read more

This place is great! The gumbo is amazing and I'm really picky about gumbo. I got the #8 with fried shrimp and stuffed crab with the mambo rice. No complaints and the fried rice is SO yummy. Really good service too! Highly recommend. read more

I'm giving this particular location one star. Horrible management. My car got broken into outside and here's the managers response: "yeah it happens every weekend here." The security guy outside was pretty much chillen in his car and wanted to act like he was doing his job when the cops showed up. I was also denied the camera footage that could show me my car broken into. They said they would show us when the cops got there, but the sheriff asked us to have them email it to him, the manager refused. Never coming back to this location again. read more

No pos si esta chico! This place is lit and on point on both music and food everyone is welcome!

So good!!!! We had the soup, empanadas, and mambo combo. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Overall my experience here was great! My waitress Maria López did a good job & was constantly checking on us. One thing I often have a problem with is the amount of napkins they tend to bring us, but she did great & brought us more than enough! GIVE A RAISE !!!! read more

Normally my family or I order to go & they never make mistakes! The food is delicious at a great price! The fried rice, fried shrimp, bacon wrapped shrimp and tilapia are delicious and totally recommend them. When you dine in, expected to wait a while because the restaurant is always packed. read more

Great atmosphere and food. Brought the kids and had a good time. We ordered the special fried rice which was HUGE and amazing. We also got the michalada chicken wings. These are now on the top of my list for favorite wings. I couldn't believe how good they were. We of course had to get a michalada and mango margarita. No complaints here at all. We enjoyed everything and look forward to going back. read more

We love the ceviche here!! It is the best I've had anywhere. Their fish is good too. The tarter sauce is very bland. Always crowded but worth the wait for the ceviche. read more

I come to this location about two times a month for dinner. I always get the fried shrimp platter with two side french fries and salad. It only comes with one side but I always get two side so if you do two side expect to ay for the second side. For this visit we had Oysters as appetizers (Price depends on market value) The Oysters were fresh no complaint as they came with limes and underneath the oysters was ice to keep the oysters cold. I personally like to eat them with lots of lime/lemon juice, pinch of salt, and drops of Valentina YUM! My boyfriend ate seafood gumbo and finished it all. He said he tasted Oyster in there he really liked it. The salad side comes with a piece of 'Jicama' which most places do not but I love that. My waitress Evelyn had an attitude problem like if she was not having a good day and wanted to go home. She did not check up on us much which was the downside of my visit. The manager came to ask if everything was okay so it made up for it I guess. They offer alcohol beverages and have wifi yay! The parking can get tricky when you go there on weekends or on special days because gets popping in there haha! Overall I would go back. The prices are reasonable and affordable. I would recommend others to come here. Thank you Mambo seafood! read more

Best micheladas ever!!! The mangoritas are a must try. Food is delicious specially the mambo rice. Great service.

An excellent choice of seafood restaurant with a Latin American flare. The restaurant is causal with lots of bright colorful neon lights inside and out with a hustle bustle family atmosphere. Nothing fancy and definitely not a first date choice of restaurant! In the back there is a seafood case showing various types of fish that you can purchase like from a seafood market. My husband and I checked it out for the first time since it's relatively new in Katy. It was a week day evening and the restaurant was crowded. We were seated almost immediately. After studying the "written menu" as well as the "pictured menu" and with a little help from the server, who by the way was so sweet and cheerful, we decided on two dishes, one with mixed grilled seafood and the other a mix of octopus and shrimp. All main courses come with a side and Mambo rice. We liked both dishes. Both were seasoned very well. We loved the rice. Price on the menu is very reasonable. As it turned out Mambo rice is exactly like Chinese fried rice. Love it! Overall it was good experience. We'll be back as we make our round around Katy. read more

We sat for 30 mins after we ordered and our food never came, so we walked out. Their service is too slow. Perhaps I will try after they get a little faster. Today my first experience here was lacking. read more

The food is great here. I have no complaints at all but when it comes to ordering through the phone it's not good costumer service. A hostess answered the phone said her intro and hung up without giving me anytime to order. I'm aware you can be busy but that's such a sloppy thing to do. I called back multiple times and no one answered. I'm very upset because i was looking forward to the food. Also, my significant other called before and was rushed with his order. Not okay. read more

Really enjoyed the fried rice and the appetizer shrimp plate. The fried rice is enough to feed an army. The micheladas were good as well. Not expensive at all in my opinion. I've been three times on Saturday it does get crowded so expect to wait. read more

I went on Saturday night around 10pm and was immediately seated. Our waitress, "Meleidays" (i don't think i spelled that right) helped us out so much. She was very courteous, and helped us through the entire process. She offered advice on what to get and the spice and flavor level for every option. She said that the empanadas were a great option. THEY WERE! The cheese string just kept on going! I wanted to try one of the specialty drinks, but couldn't decide. She said get the "mangolava" and get the "pica" (i think that's what it's called) on the side. It was great because I could control how much flavor to put in. Overall great experience. It is going to be my #1 Seafood place now. read more

This is the worst mambos location I have been to. We sat down and got our food an hour after. We had a group sitting behind us who showed up 20 min after us but got their food first only because the owner was flirting with the lady. We were not the only group who was upset, as several other tables had to wait a long time. This is the one and only time I will be at this location. read more

Mambo has become one of our favorite seafood spots since this new one opened in Katy. The food is always very good and it is very reasonably priced. The manager is excellent! One time we did have a problem with the wait time for our food, but the manager (Javier? Maybe?) went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure it was made right. Excellent customer service like that will keep us coming back here for a long long time. If you haven't already, give mambo a shot for sure! read more
