The sodas are mixable, so you can tell your waitress whatever flavors you would like to add. For example I got cherry coke and vanilla coke. They have a variety of drinks which is nice. And the portions are decent for the price. The shrimp fried rice tasted amazing. The shrimp was crispy and absolutely delicious. The Chipotle chicken had a lot of sauce on top, but was all right. If you're not a saucy person, I wouldn't suggest it. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive, constantly checking in and making sure my drink was full. This was the longest I waited for an online order. Trying to do curbside pick was impossible since nobody answers the phone or text to let them know you are at Restaurant to pick up order. If you want to be exposed to COVID-19 this is the place. Restaurant was crowded full of people like it was 2019. No social distancing enforced. Went this past Thursday. Shrimp dish was made incorrectly, it had jalapeños in it. We told the server, he grabbed the plate walked back to the kitchen and brought the same plate back with the jalapeños picked out... absolutely disgusting. He wasn't even wearing gloves. He said they make the bacon wrapped shrimp with jalapeños and if the customer doesn't want it they remove it after cooking it so he did it the "right way". manager was no help. Service was very poor. Waited for 45 minutes for a table only to be ignored after. We (a table of 8 1/2) asked Andrea, a waitress by the entrance, for a high chair and all we got was a very rude look and the cold shoulder. It took us discussing how rude it was and how sucky the service was for her to finally grab a high chair from outside. The rude attitude and lack of costumer service was appalling, the wait time was ridiculous, and the overall experience was horrible. Since there was going to be a 25 minute wait, I figured I would grab a beer from the bar while I was waiting. It took a few minutes for someone to acknowledge me standing there, and from there, the employee didn't know how to go get the beer and charge me for it. My husband and I have been curious about this location since we moved to Katy from Spring Branch a year ago. Our good friend came to town, so we decided to give it a try. It was Saturday night, so we had to wait about 35 minutes for a table. We were told about the wait when we checked in, and they seated us in the time frame the hostess quoted. Our server was Mirza and she was so sweet and engaging that it made our week! The food was delicious. Mirza suggested we try their empanadas for starters and they were perfect. I've had a lot better "special" rice at several take out Chinese food places in the last few months. Very bland, salad sized shrimp, very little pork and no more than three pieces of chicken. My friend had the #1 and he added hot sauce, salt and pepper several times to try to season up the mushy fried shrimp and fish. Mambo's fried rice, whether it be the house rice, shrimp rice or pork rice is always great and plentiful. We usually get either the combo #1 or #4. The #1 comes with six fried shrimp and two fish filets and a side (we always get fried rice). The #4 comes with 15 fried shrimp. Both combos are excellent and we always have rice left over. My only complaint is that the combos only come fried. I would love it if we could get them grilled. read more

Very poor customer service. I called ahead of time to confirm they have outdoor seating and to ask if a small dog would be allowed in the outdoor dining area. Was told there would be outdoor dining (an important question given COVID) and spoke directly to the manager to ask about bringing my dog. The manager told me I could bring my dog. I asked twice just to confirm and was told this would not be an issue. I showed up only 20 minutes later to be told the outdoor dining area was closed and that dogs were not allowed anywhere in the building (outdoor or indoor).
