Solid gyro, was perfect snack to get us through the massive market without overdoing it on groceries, and man the fries and tzatziki were actually so amazing. Service was warm and friendly. If we lived in the area, we'd lunch here often.

This is a brand new food stand inside Saraga. They serve Middle Eastern food for a reasonable price. And portions are huge.

We're always looking for good Greek food in Indianapolis and noticed this spot while eating…read moresomewhere nearby, so we decided to make a trip back downtown for it at a later time. Located in a cute blue house, this is conveniently located near Lucas Oil Stadium and there was a huge concert going on the night we were there, but we were still allowed to park in their parking area. Inside has nice lighting and is pretty plain but has a homey feel. The menu contains many items we're familiar with having visited Greece twice. So I'm going to be a little critical here with my review of the food. I ordered the Greek Spaghetti, which I have had in Greece. Unfortunately this was not at all what I was expecting or anything like Greek spaghetti. What I was served was basically Prego spaghetti sauce with pieces of gyro in it. Traditional Greek spaghetti (or Makaronia me Kima) is a wonderful sauce that's seasoned with all kinds of memorable spices. It's definitely not pieces of gyro meat thrown in a sauce. So while this was fine, it was not what I truly wanted or thought I was getting so I was pretty disappointed. My husband got the chicken souvlaki and that was better but still not quite like what I remember. The meat was almost smoked and lacked some of the Greek spices that gives it a distinct taste. And the tzatziki...well, let's just say it tastes like whipped feta and was lacking in flavor too. I did enjoy the pita bread. Our service was underwhelming as well. It took a while for anyone to notice we were there and needed to be seated and the server basically did the bare minimum, never even asking if we wanted our water refilled. Overall, it was fine. If I had never been to Greece, I may have a different opinion but this isn't someplace I really want to go back to.

We planned to wait until 5:30 but we were told it was fine and we were seated immediately. The service throughout our meal was outstanding. Our server was knowledgeable and answered our questions about menu items. She was extremely friendly and personable. We ordered several appetizers including my favorite, Saganaki. The hummus was garlicky and wonderful. We all ordered different entrées. My choice was the vegetarian pastichio. Our entrées and all the sides were excellent. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert so we will try again next time. The ambiance was wonderful, the food and service could not have been better. We all agreed that we will be returning soon.

It happened to be the first warm day, and so I could tell I was probably the first customer to sit outside for the season. Even so, the tables and outdoor space were clean. Food: I got the meatballs and they were good! I enjoyed the feta on the inside. I felt they were a little dry and could have been more tender. The pita that accompanied was perfection! The french fries were also very yummy. The feta, oil, and seasoning were delicious. While the food was good, I'm not sure $30 for these two is reasonable.

This was my first time trying Turkish coffee, and I absolutely loved it! For other first-time…read morevisitors, I recommend letting the coffee sit for about 30 seconds before taking a sip so the fine grounds can settle to the bottom. Also, don't stir it after it's served, as that will bring the grounds back up into the coffee. Be sure to leave the last sip or two in the cup, since that's where the grounds collect. The coffee itself was excellent, but I would recommend that servers explain these details to first-time customers or at least ask whether they've had Turkish coffee before. A little guidance would make the experience even better for newcomers. We also ordered the hummus as an appetizer, and it was fantastic. The naan was served warm, and the hummus tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. It was the perfect way to start the meal. We also ordered The Bosphorus Special, a mixed grill platter featuring doner, kofte, chicken kebab, beef kebab, Adana kebab, and chicken Adana kebab, served with vegetables and white rice. Everything was absolutely delicious. The meats were cooked perfectly, tender, and packed with flavor. I'm so glad my significant other and I decided to share this entrée because the portion was very generous, and we still had plenty of leftovers to take home. While the service could have been a bit more attentive, it did not negatively impact our overall experience. After our food was served, our waitress did not check back to see how everything was or whether we needed anything additional. We also ended up with quite a few leftovers and requested to-go containers. Initially, only one small container was brought to the table, which required two additional follow-ups before we received enough containers for the remaining food. One suggestion I would offer is that, for tables ordering larger meals, it may be helpful for servers to proactively offer to box up leftovers as dishes are cleared. For just two people, our table became overcrowded rather quickly, especially with the generous portions. Since our waitress did not return after the food was served, it made managing the table and leftovers a little challenging. That said, we had a wonderful first experience overall. The food was outstanding, the portions were generous, and we look forward to coming back again in the future.

Both were delicious and well portioned. The guvec (veggie casserole) had eggplant, mushrooms, peppers, carrots, and other veggies plus rice and a small salad. Good thing we made reservations, which we will do again when we return.

To start with on the rating y beautiful wife & I are feeling generous by giving this a 3 after our…read moredining experience last night. We were seated promptly & really liked the decor. Then we waited to be noticed by the wait staff. And we waited, and waited. It took 17 minutes before anyone came to our table. We would have left but we had a $50 gift certificate to use. Finally someone came over. We ordered teas & an appetizer of flaming saganaki. We found it very tasty. For entered I ordered the Greek meatball sandwich. My wife got a cup of egg lemon bowl ( which is a soup she loves) & Keftethes ( with beef meatballs). I found the fries god & the meatballs & bread decent but the sauce was a little off to me which greatly reduced my enjoyment. It was just ok. My wife thought the soup was a bit thin but overall god with a strong lemon flavor. Her entree the meatballs were good, the green beans were cold & the roasted potatoes were decent. Overall she was meh. We ordered desserts to go. Baklava, Galaktoboureko ( custard in philo dough) & Oreo cake. Wife thought the baklava had an overpowering cinnamon taste which hurt it. The Galaktoboureko was basically sugar cream pie with philo crust. I thought it was ok but wife thought it should have been thinner. She also believes the to go containers aren't sufficient for these desserts due to the sugar syrup. The "Oreo cake" had one cookie to the side & was dry. When we gave the waitress our gift certificate she said they would take that off when they rang up the bill. She came back & the gift certificates were not taken off. I pointed this out to her & she went back to talk to whoever is running the register. When she came back she said she has no idea what's going on but they gave me a $50 bill to credit the $50 in gift certificates. My amazing wife surmised that they credited someone else's bill & gave us the $50 to make it right for us. Bottom line is all the staff we interacted with were friendly but the restaurant is very disorganized. Food was just ok. Can't say we were impressed.

I thought that meant the service was fast, but boy was I wrong. On the flipside, my food was delicious and the value was high. Pros: - I got the falafel wrap which came with a side of fries for $12. The portion was enormous! - Everything was made to order and was really fresh. The falafel itself was very crispy on the outside and warm inside with great texture. - The fries were thick and seasoned well. Cons: - The wait time was a little out of hand. The individual working really tillytallied around and I was standing right there waiting. He didn't seem to care. I was the only one there and it took about 15 minutes. - They weren't able to give me a receipt which was annoying. - Some of the veggies on my wrap were so large it made it very difficult to eat. As in, 3 inch long slides of cucumber. Don't get me wrong, I would eat here again because the quality of the food was top tier!
