Al Basha is a combo of a small grocery store and a restaurant but there is a lot of cool things inside. I don't come to fishers often but this is definitely somewhere I wanna visit wherever I'm in the area. When I went there was no buffet (I need to try that next time) so we ordered hummus to share and I ordered a chicken souvlaki wrap and fries from the menu. The food took about ten minutes only. Hummus was a bug portion served with 6 pieces of pita bread. It was so good. Smooth and flavorful. My wrap was great as well, it had not only chicken but also something like tabouli. They had all kinds of soda drinks in the fridge. I had never seen any of them before and it was quite exciting. Although this is a sit down restaurant when I paid with my card, I was told their card machine doesn't give any tipping option, to my surprise. I recommend brining some cash. The grocery store had fresh veggies, meat and bread.

This was our first and definitely not our last time eating here. Small restaurant, market attached, very kind service and good recommendations. He gave us complimentary hummus and it was THE BEST hummus I've ever tasted. Delicious soft pita on the side. I got a chicken kebab platter and it was outstanding. Sauces were delicious (red sauce is spicy but the flavor was wonderful), and SO much food. Very generous portions- I took a meals worth of food home! The salad was perfect- olives, fresh tomatoes and cucumbers, great dressing and feta cheese. Overall highly recommend. Don't skip this little gem! We will be back, we loved it so much!

I would rate this place 100/10 if I could. This is a small little restaurant attached to a grocery store and small bakery. But despite the small restaurant, the service was phenomenal, and the food was amazing. I didn't even take a picture of the cake we got from the bakery but that was just as delicious as our meal. With so many Mediterranean options this is the one I pick to frequent!

It's been while since I visited Al Basha for the lunch buffet. Just as good as I remember. Served Fri/Sat/Sun 11am-4pm; items vary each day of the weekend. No gyros today, so made a pita with chicken, cucumber, tomato. Visited after the regular lunch crowd, and greeted warmly by Ahmad. Star of the show-- Basbousa coconut cake (Egyptian semolina cake without egg.) Tastes just like my favorite coconut macaroons and oozy-gooey sweetened condensed milk.

The LEAST tasty falafel and cold fries I've ever had. Such a waste of a carry out dinner night. Do not recommend!

So far it smells great . It just a few tables in the back of a Greek grocery store . In no way i attractive restaurant far from it but I've had some great food in hole in the wall restaurants .I'm getting the kufta sandwich hubby ordered the gyro platter . We are having the Greek salad and large humus plate . The portions are larger than we anticipated . I'm not a big gyro fan but this was obviously " home made" and the best I ever tasted . My kafta was likewise well seasoned and really good . The hummus had a good amount of tahini in it which for me is a plus . The baba ghanouj was obviously made with roasted eggplant and had a lovely smoky taste . We will definitely go back .

Enjoyed lunch here for the first time and will definitely return! I had the gryo hummus and salad combo and it was huge!!! So much food, well worth the price. The gyro meat was tender and flavorful, and the hummus creamy and delicious. The salad was a standard greek salad, but quite fresh and the dressing was excellent. I wish the tzatziki had more cucumber, but it is winter... The service was efficient and friendly.

Wowwww. That's my review. Yes, it's "in" a grocery store. But there's a full sit down restaurant. We were seated promptly and told our food would take 15 minutes (so you know it's all fresh). The food came out much faster than that. I embarrassed my mother by licking chicken shawarma off my fingers. Not even "the look" was able to keep me from dipping my fork straight into the garlic sauce and eating it. Apologies to everyone who I talked to for the rest of the day. If I had to pick a downside, I guess I'd say that they don't have Diet Coke. But they do have a fridge of sodas, most of which I've never seen before. The tangerine Schweppes was delicious. I took home some hummus to share with my husband and then hid it from him so I could have it all to myself. I'll be back for the weekend buffet!

This Japanese grocery store sells amazing sushi and bento box style meals. I was glad to see great…read morereviews by my fellow Yelpers because I love Japanese food and the little grocery was not on my radar. The store is spotless and well organized. They sell just about everything imaginable for Japanese cooking, including sashimi grade fish. I also saw Japanese beers and liquors. Meals made to order start at 11:00 am. They make sushi, noodle and rice dishes. We picked up several bento style boxes to share. There are a number of cafe tables inside and outside to eat after you purchase your food. We ate inside. There is a convenient microwave to warm-up prepackaged cold foods. The gyoza were filled with pork and bits of cabbage. The gyoza disappeared quickly. Emi ten Tomagoto ji pre (shrimp tempura over rice) was our favorite dish. The rice was cooked with eggs and onion and just delicious. The shrimp were perfectly cooked. I would definitely order this again. The spicy bomb inari was filled with strips of meat and a spicy sauce. The only complain was that the wrapper was soggy from sitting in the deli case. I can't wait to back to try a udon bowl. The food is fresh and delicious. There is plenty of parking in their share lot.

I stopped here to grab a few hard to find items for a few recipes and ended up also grabbing chips…read more(I love trying new chips). I was immediately greeted upon entry. The space was clean and well organized and I enjoyed browsing even after finding my items. The cafe was closed once this day, but I hope to return to order food.

This is an African/Caribbean type grocery store. The owners are from Ghana. They have…read morecanned/dried goods, fresh produce, frozen meat/produce, plus some sundries. My favorite things to buy here are: 1. Jamaican ginger ale (non-alcoholic). Has a real gingery bite. American ginger ale will seem weak by comparison after trying this. 2. Plantains, very green, for slicing and deep-frying into chips. 3. Palm oil. This is a "bad" oil high in saturated fat, but I use it in moderation. One, for "seasoning" cast-iron skillets (instead of Crisco). And two, just a teaspoon added to "good oil" when cooking popcorn. (I cook regular non-microwave popcorn in a wok, using 2 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon of peanut oil or corn oil, plus 1 teaspoon of palm oil, plus 1/2 cup of popcorn kernals.) The palm oil gives it a movie-theater flavor and a little tint of orange. 4. Canned powdered (dry) whole milk. Most powdered milk you buy at American groceries is non-fat. This has all the cream. I don't like to buy fresh milk, because I don't drink much. So I keep this around for baking. Watch the expiration date, because it doesn't keep as long as non-fat milk, but it's still usually good for at least a year. 5. Various flours, like yam flour, cocoyam flour, plantain flour, rice flour, and corn starch. 6. Exotic bar soaps. They have various imported soap, some medicated some very fragrant.

If you need Fu Fu Flour, smoked cow feet or African coconut oil, this is your place. I'm tempted to go back and buy the banana sauce for novelty. The liquid was red and thin like Tabasco, but smelled like the tropical fruit. I'm not sure what confounds me more: Why so much food coloring is added to the product, or what to do with it. I'm sure I could whip up some confections with it. If you want African garb or DVDs, you can find those here, too. It's conveniently located at the Shops on 54th Street center.
