The food is great, but the seating in the location is really tough. Not made for large groups at all. Once again the food was great from the seafood, burgers, and Calamari. Hidden gem for fresh, delicious seafood. We tried it while down in Corolla for the week and ended up going twice, once for lunch and later in the week just for the calamari. The food is delicious. The fried green tomatoes are a must have! The pimento cheese and tomatoes they put on them really sets them apart. I also orders the fried scallops which were also delicious and fresh. The only negative is very limited seating. We ate at the small bar top area. I had my best meal in Corolla at Mama Easley's - the fries were hot and perfectly seasoned, the shrimp well-breaded and crispy, the slaw delicious, and the cider cold and refreshing. I had no problem paying $14 for the shrimp basket because everything tasted so good and it filled me right up. My husband loved his fish and chips basket as well. So delicious! OH - and $1 PBRs! You just can't beat that. The service was also excellent, and we enjoyed eating our meal on their deck. I highly recommend ME's if you're in Corolla!! read more

Food was pretty good. Staff who took our order was fine. The seating system and seats they have are not good. Person who seemed to be in charge (man with ponytail and beard) was horribly rude . I can see some reviewers didn't dig the laid back vibe of this place. $1 PBRs every day, all day. I got a caesar salad with the best grilled scallops I've ever had. I don't know if you're supposed to get a table and order or order and then get a table. I don't think it matters. Just get in there and do your thing and these boys will take care of you. Seating is on the smaller side but as they grow I think you may see more 4-6 seat high top tables outside to utilize the space better. Food is spot on. We had: Burger(fabulous) I normally just eat seafood but the chef had it looking so good on the oven top! Fish sandwich was really good( more of a pub style batter using Mahi) Mac/cheese bites was a great appetizer Don't let me forget the $1.00 pbr !!! I had the best Ahi tuna here that I've ever had. Perfect. The scallops were awesome. I wanted to eat more and try everything! This is a friendly relaxed environment. We were impressed by the interaction of the staff and cook. They were all attentive and appear to take pride in their food and service which made me feel confident they only serve the best! Been coming to OBX for almost 10 years and just found this new restaurant and it's probably the best seafood we've had since coming here. The Fried Green Tomatoes are off the chart good. Then we had the fried shrimp, scallops and clams, along with a shrimp Po Boy and they were all excellent!!! Simple breading and Fresh seafood. It really couldn't get any better. Can't forget to mention the awesome staff and service too! Told them I look forward to seeing them next year.
