This is always a 5 star experience for us. Friendly service and food is fantastic. Much better than Dough Zone, which had become too corporate. Handmade noodles are delicious here. Highly recommend!!

I don't like comparing restaurants with other restaurants so I'll stick to talking about the food. I had food delivered so I can't go about the service or ambiance of place. But according to deliverer he waited a while for the food. The pork xiao long bao was dry, hardly any soup. It was more affordable than other places, but not quite as good. So probably not going back. The beef soup with bok choy and handmade noodles arrived hot. Were ok, but the broth was a bit salty, and off pudding in taste. My daughter felt the same about it. The braised beef pancake rolls were good, but a bit soggy. And the deep fried buns were so dry I could barely chew it.

Visited for lunch this afternoon with friends was nice to come with more people and try more items. We ordered the Green onion pancake, salt and pepper shrimp, chicken chowmein and spicy eggplant. My friend said the spicy eggplant is her new favorite eggplant dish. I really enjoyed their version of salt and pepper shrimp. Full shell head on so delicious. Lots of garlic. Clean and bright space. Service is always friendly and quick we arrived about 11am and were seated immediately and given hot tea as soon as we sat down. Definitely will be back

It was stale thick fried batter in super sugary sauce-it's lacking flavor

The fried spicy eggplants looks so good but oh man it was not good! This is based on my order itself today because usually this place is really good Today my rating is 1/5 (hence I rated it 3 stars just because it can be a hit or miss) Spicy fried eggplants: Spice level 0/5 (I'm so confused, there is no spice at all) Taste: 0/5 it tasted like pure candied sugar, not savory no salt Batter: it was like thick fried chicken batter but it was so stale from all the sauce 0/5 Price: $15 for half container portion Overall I would not get this dish again

5 stars- I love the fact this place is super casual with home made quality XLB and Tawainese food. Food- 4 stars- homey, yummy! * loved the pig ear salad- flavorful. Not spicy, loved how thinly sliced it was. * Braised beef in onion pancake roll- beef was super tender, flavorful, cut into chunks, cold. The pancake was too oily for me, and hot! Overall enjoyed. * spicy wontons- was fine. Nothing exciting. * sautéed string beans were good- little oily and salty. Flavor was good * braised beef noodle soup had a lot of depth. Beef tender. Hand made noodles were the best! * pork XLB- good flavor, not as much soup, but still good. *golden fried buns- drizzled with condensed milk. Simple, hot and yummy! Ambiance- 3 stars. Service- 4 stars. Server was nice and kids loved all the kid friendly design bowls, utensil and cups. Food came out super fast. Location- Great Wall shopping center where 99Ranch is located. Plenty of parking. On the right side/arm of the mall. Value- very good. Recommend- YES!

Stopped by here after a long day of shopping and couldn't have been more satisfied! We were greeted with smiles and seated right away. The overall vibe was very clean and Asian lol. We ordered the xiaolongbao and some type of noodle soup that I forgot lol. They were both very delicious. And they came out quickly. Service was definitely top notch. We were checked up on regularly and the staff there were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back again.

Crispy and very delicious. I also recommended this dish to a family member and he went to try the same thing on his way to pick up someone from the airport. It's about a 13 minute drive to SeaTac from Mama Dough's so if you need a place to eat on the way to the airport I highly recommend mama dough! Get the crispy pan fried dumplings! Just look at how good that looks

Great dumplings and selection of bigger plates. The service was so fast, and we got to see the staff make dim sum behind the counter. Service was fast and it was clean and bright inside. I loved the garlic string beans!

We ordered braised beef pancake roll, braised beef spicy oil noodles, and pork Xiao Long Bao. They were all great and enough for 2 people. My favorite was braised beef pancake rolls. The tangy sauce complemented the rolls very well.

Food: 3/5 - Got 2 pork wonton noodle soup bowls - Good noodles and chicken broth - Very small wontons with maybe 1/2 teaspoon of meat filling. - Got 1 order pork wontons in spicy Sichuan sauce. Very tasty, but again, very small wontons. - Got a $20 bag of 50 frozen wontons just for convenience to make at home. With such small wontons, you only get 1/2 a freezer gallon bag full. Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3/5 - Modernized, but basic and serviceable

Super friendly staff, immediately greets you as you come in the door. Attentive too! The space is small but wasn't too crowded on a Saturday at 1pm. Food was good, comparable to Din Tai Fung (and better than Dough Zone imo). My mom didn't like the taste of the meat though. Really like the texture of their eggplant and beef pancake roll.

Maybe I needed to take a break from this place to really appreciate it thoroughly? Either way I'm so glad I made the decision to come here for a late lunch. Ordered the potato salad, beef pancake roll, chicken pancake roll and red spilled oil noodles. Potato salad had great crunchy texture and the perfect punch of vinegar. Pancake rolls were delicious, super oily and crispy- the meat in both was good but I preferred the chicken...however! The sauce on the beef was so yummy, the touch of sweetness. The noodles were delicious, spicy, tons of garlic and had great chew. Service was good and quick.

As good as my Canton mom's. I was heading for a different restaurant when my husband saw this one. It had a waiting list but it was short and quick to get seated. The food has a significant variety. From cold appetizers to xiaolongbao to braised pork belly to chow mein. We ordered it all. The cold chicken with spicy peanut sauce, the combo xiaolongbao of egg and chive or lamb dumplings, the green onion pancakes, braised pork belly, Chinese sausage chow mein, crispy chicken (which is salt and pepper chicken). We literally got everything we could possibly eat. And everything is literally delicious. Is your mom Chinese? Did she make Chinese food for you? Cause get ready for a blast from the past because mama isn't making these dishes in retirement! The location is small. Only about 14 tables. It's bright white inside and you can see who, I presume is Mama Dough herself, rolling dumplings at a counter in the front. If you're looking for good, REAL authentic Chinese food, then you definitely need to come here.

I am disabled-how FAR in to the mall is it to get to Mama's Dough? Great pain when I walk.. usually can only go about 20 steps before I must sit down. Is this restaurant "do- able" for me? (esp. if someone dropped me off in front?) What entrance?

I would say it’s 2-3 restaurants in so right about your limit of steps. I always get my food to go and it’s amazing. Perhaps order on the phone and have someone run in to pick up for you? You won’t be disappointed. I hope this helps.

That is no more. Sadly after going back recently I realized these are new owners and no longer the San Wok we are used to. Food was decent, but I could tell the difference especially with the orange chicken which was always a hit. Food overall is good for chinese, but doesn't wow me like before. New improvements inside, the restaurant now has dine in, and new decor, but prices have an increased, and ultimately just feels like another chinese restaurant in the area.

The…read morefood was tasty and the guy that ran the place, we knew from the Golden Phoenix restaurants. I think he was either a nephew or son in law. He sold the place to the previous owner who rebranded as Sans Wok Express. When the place opened the flavor, price and portion were all unbelievable and unbeatable. For years this was the case, then the price would go up about 10% at least twice a year, then the portions got smaller and post covid, the flavor also suffered like they were cutting corners. They would skimp on sauces and dishes that were generous with protein because heavy with vegetables, so instead of Mongolian Beef, it was Mongolian Onion. Really nice people, but after my last visit, I said I most likely wouldn't be back because it just wasn't worth the money. Ironically, I gave them another chance today and was surprised. When I pulled into the lot I knew something was different as I saw someone sitting inside and the place had been takeout only since Covid. The décor was also modern and warm and when I didn't see the original chef or server, I assumed there was a new owner. The menu was exactly the same, but it was a new owner and she told me she had owned the place since New Years Day. So, it's obviously been more than a year since I decided not to come back. I had the Mongolian Beef and it was pretty good. I'm sure you would love it, but I actually like mine sugar free. That said, it wasn't as sweet as most places, so respect to the chef. The lunch combo was entree, rice and soup. No more spring roll. The hot and sour was ok, but it wasn't thickened and lacked chicken stock. The new owner is really nice and I'm hoping the business comes back. This place used to always be nearly full. I think after 4-5 years of take out only, people stopped coming here. Take out is great, but I prefer dine in. It hotter, fresher and I don't have any trash. Again, when you keep the same name as the previous business, there is no flag to the community that you changed the recipes and possibly have a better menu. Either way, come back, I think you'll be pleased.

Not sure why I never heard of this place. Owner said they have been open for 3 years now. The food came out fast. We actually ordered too much we had it for three more meals at home. I think overall the food was good. Like I was telling the owner I normally drive to Canada to get Chinese food, or San Fran for dim sum. I'm pretty hard to please. But since I like to support local, I'll bring my friends here another time for lunch. The decor was minimal but nice. From the outside it looked like it was closed, and like it was a home or doctors office. It's right next to a bikini barista. So we missed it the first time. It's a brick building. The tea was really good. The perfect amount of Chinese leaves, and it was nice and hot for a cold blistery day even if it's almost spring.

But they lose 3 stars from me because they use some kind of industrial strength cleaning chemical to wipe down the tables. Hard to enjoy your meal when all you can smell is the same chemical they use to mop the floors at QFC and in my apartment building. Seriously terrible chemical smell while you eat. If they are using a spray bottle to clean at the next table, you'll get a cloud of harsh cleaning chemical up your nostrils while you eat. I've had to rinse off and wiped down my own table with a napkin dampened with tea or water in order to enjoy my meal. When I mentioned this to staff, they were dismissive and haven't changed a thing in over a year when I first brought it to their attention. They should only be using something like quat sanitizer, that doesn't smell, to clean the tables. NOT something that is used for floors or bathrooms. and on a side note: if you decide to mop underneath another table while people are dining next to it, please say "excuse me" or just wait. Instead of almost hitting people in the head with a mop handle without saying a word. Also not great for a dining experience. I have worked in restaurants and F&B management. I know something about these things. You shouldn't use anything on a table for diners that you wouldn't use on a food preparation surface. How many times has a dumpling got away from you and bounced around on the table and you snag it and consume it, because you assume the table isn't being cleaned with floor cleaner? If you agree with me, please say something to the staff, and maybe they'll eventually listen. This is a real shame. The food quality is quite good. Probably best dim sum in South King County. I might just do take-out from now on. There are other high quality Chinese and Asian dining options, that's the bright side of living in this area. But if I'm doing takeout, I might as well just go to Dim Sum House on Beacon Hill (much more reasonable prices and good quality).
