Chicken wings, chips & dip, rib sandwich
    Rachel M.

Great atmosphere, great service. Outside patio was full but inside was lovely and I was seated quickly. I got the highly rated rib sandwich and was quite disappointed... The bread was good but the inside was equivalent to a mediocre pot roast. It was well presented and great customer service but the chips and dip & buffalo wings appetizers were subpar. A restaurant with a great atmosphere and proximity to the beach across the street, but I cannot recommend the food. I know this spot is a brewery, my friend and I are not beer people so we appreciated that there were alternative adult drinks but we did not get them.

Nick was outstanding and a great server. From the moment we walked in, the entire team made us feel welcome. The location in Malibu is very cozy and a great place to relax and enjoy yourself. We stopped in for drinks, which were excellent, and ordered the buffalo chicken cheese dip as an appetizer. It was next level and definitely a standout. It's something I would come back for again, along with the great service. Overall, if you're in the Malibu area, I definitely recommend stopping by and giving this place a try.

Busy place with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Greeted by the hostess with a warm welcome and big smile. Promptly seated and quickly approached by our server, Conley. He was terrific and patiently answered all questions. If you're coming for beer, both their IPAS are really good. I would rank the Wild Grove over Hippie Van Hazy. Their Canyon was the perfect pairing with the poached pear salad. The turkey melt wasn't really a melt, but that turned out to be a good thing. The roasted turkey was outstanding. Their sauce brings some heat to the dish. And their in-house chips were seasoned perfectly. Whether you choose indoor or outdoor dining, there's definitely a fun vibe which adds to your experience. Cheers!

The service was amazing. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cool and especially since it is by the beach the environment is just peaceful bliss and tranquility. I loved the smash burger except... (and this is the primary reason why they get four stars instead of five). Why??? Please tell me why you would serve such an amazing burger with a gourmet sesame seed bun and such amazing fries, then absolutely ruin it with slices of fake, Velveta style, Kraft Singles, as something resembling cheese, instead of using real cheese. This is comparable to wearing flip flops with a tuxedo. To be fair I asked after I already got my food and they said they do have real cheese but you have to request an alternative instead of the fake "American Cheese (product)" that it comes with. I will have to go back and try it again with real cheese on a different occasion. To the management team, please remove the fake cheese from your menu altogether or offer that as an alternative for those who prefer it over real cheese instead of making it the default. It's super salty and has a horrible texture that just destroys the essence of what your burger represents. To everyone who is reading this post, please ask for the real cheese so they make that the default, unless you really like this terrible, artery clogging, cancer causing, chemically synthesized fake cheese product. There is a reason why this fake cheese product is banned for human consumption in most other countries including the European Union. If enough people ask for the real cheese, I'm sure they will do away with it altogether to accommodate what their customers want. I for one, am willing to pay a dollar or two more for such a delicious burger if the cost factor is the reason you're not automatically using real cheese as the default option.

This tends to be our go-to spot after a weekend of camping nearby. They have a wide selection of beers and their food has always been tasty. They have indoor and patio seating, and the place has a casual-trendy vibe to it. I've tried tried the smash burger as well as their short rib sandwich and loved both. The short ribs were melt-in-your-mouth and also large enough to possibly save a portion for a snack later. We also ordered the hot wings to share which were okay but on the dry side. The roasted veggies for the kids were also a bit bland and mushy. The service is great, and our server was attentive and made sure our drinks were constantly topped off. 2 Hour parking is free in the lot was definitely a plus!

Nice neighborhood beach area brewery with a large selection of their own beer. Nice menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner plus tasting flights. Indoor & outdoor dining. Pet friendly patio. Plenty of parking in shopping center. Friendly service and reasonably priced delish food!

The beers were a lot better than I expected for a place I haven't really seen in distribution. And with its location I assume it could get away with just ok. The Hatch Chile beer was the star for me but their coconut porter and pumpkin beers were great too. Solid witbier. Good Irish stout too. Kind bartender. Parking was easier than expected, and free. But to be totally honest the star of the show isn't something I expect you'll see, someone was having the most adorable birthday party for their dad. The bar must let you rent time on the TV? They were doing a slideshow, slideshow wins 5 out of 5 best slideshow.

We always have great service here: especially at the bar. Service is key to a good restaurant visit! During this visit we were informed that the brewery is opening a second location in calabasas at a former brewery. Opening around spring time. We are excited to hear this as the location will provide a great outdoor location on Kanan road. We just had drinks and fries. As a non beer drinker: I'm glad that they provide a solid local non sweet cider on tap. Please continue to provide non sweet ciders please. Also they offer wine and some basic mix cocktails. The fries are yummy too: big long solid fries, properly cooled. Not McDonald fries. See you next time!

    Farmstand salad with Ahi

We were driving up the coast and stopped here for lunch, and what a great find it is. I had the Farmstand Salad with Ahi, which was terrific. My wife had the Fried Chicken Sandwich with Fries, which was delicious, and the fries were fantastic. We sat outside overlooking the courtyard between the shops, and it was a wonderful lunch.

Good food , loved the beer! Our server was great ! Knowledgeable and very sweet, the hostess could've taken me to a better / cleaner table and welcomed me sooner . Ambiance is low key relaxed and upscale, what you expect for a place on The California Coast

Wow, this restaurant stoped using seed oils for frying, they use Zero Acre as their frying oil, a seedless oil which I know is way more money than regular canola oil) So for those looking for a place to eat that stopped using seed oils, you have plenty here, plus they also grill. My favorite dish is the turkey burned ends salad or the grilled fish tacos, and new on the menu are the lamb burgers. I feel the staff is relentlessly on top of their service and everyone working here has a great attitude. A lot of neighborhood customers come here, but I've seen beach goers get treated just as the regulars. Nice spot to have lunch and I really think they have a great formula for success here. Favorites: turkey burned ends salad hamburger, order with waffle fries fish tacos, grilled or fried lamb sliders, 2 to an order but plenty big bbq wings Lots of beer on tap and for Happy hour beer on tap is $5

Perfect spot after a day at the beach! It's in a cute shopping center and has plenty of seating inside and outside. The servers are friendly and attentive. The prices are really fair for the sizes of the drinks and the pretzel was a perfect appetizer for my table. I ordered a cider and it was delicious. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful and modern location just off of the coast highway. It is in the corner of a small mall that I did not see the first time and ended up parking and walking until I found it. Very clean and pleasant craft beer and grill location with many sports TV's. You can sit outside on a deck as well. I did not see any seating facing the beach, but very open and nice. There is bar seating as well. Beer and food are the main draw. Limited wine options and that is about it for alcohol. But I love beer. The tap list was well sorted by types of brew and alcohol ratings, but also included information on awards. I got a flight and my wife had a lemonade. We shared a Mediterranean Board and Catch of Day Tacos, served with chips and salsa. Prepared quickly and served at a good temp, and tasty. The catch of the day was options including salmon and shrimp, and we chose halibut. flour and corn tortilla options. Service was great by staff, our actual server did check on us but would disappear and come back while most of the service was done by others including the host and kitchen staff. Not an issue, just weird to have your server show up and not really do much. Anyway, an awesome upscale place to stop if on the coast highway.

Can you buy single cans of beer at the restaurant to take home?

As a table of three, we were comfortably able to share 2 appetizers, 3 main courses, and 2 desserts. The Fish Tacos, Wagyu Beef Burger (medium rare with added blue cheese), and Pistachio Tres Leches dessert stood out the most. The grilled octopus and tuna tartare were also excellent. The octopus was incredibly tender -- not chewy or overcooked at all. The tartare was fresh and well-balanced with avocado, although we did have to ask for an extra bowl of chips since it originally came with only five small chips. 3. Our waiter was also very nice, attentive, and did a great job throughout the meal. 4. One thing I really liked was the location. Unfortunately, despite the beautiful ambiance it was a bit of a fiasco. For an appetizer, we chose the calamari but it was overly breaded and greasy. It immediately upset our stomachs. We ordered the "Gigantic Seafood Tower." When we asked our waiter how it differed from the appetizer platter, he simply said it added lobster. We weren't prepared for the scale; it was an enormous amount of food, easily enough for 6-8 people. For our party of 3 (2 adults, 1 child), it was overkill. We spent over $200 (market price) and had to leave half of it behind since we live too far away for the leftovers to keep. The menu says "It's a lot of seafood," but it really should specify a recommended party size to avoid this kind of waste. The exit was equally stressful. A system failure at the gate and parking ATM caused a massive backup that took nearly an hour to clear. We were charged the $65 beach rate despite having restaurant validation (which should have been $15). The saving grace was David, who I think was the manager. He was out there in the parking lot, going car-to-car to explain the refund process and eventually redirecting traffic through a manual side gate. He was hustling and deserves a raise for handling a mess that wasn't even the restaurant's fault. Sadly, between the menu confusion and the parking nightmare, we won't be back.
