Very fresh veggies. Good portion. Egg plant dish was too salty. Pork was a good choice. Rice wadnt the best quality. But excellent and kind service by the waitress. The woo sen glads noodles were even delish the next day.

The service, atmosphere, and food were all excellent. The dishes feel clean and fresh, so you can enjoy healthy eating without sacrificing flavor. The sauces perfectly complement each dish, and the portions are generous enough to share. Definitely worth the drive to Rancho Vistoso, Oro Valley, your taste buds will thank you. Plus, the prices are very reasonable.

Mali Thai is an Oro Valley restaurant. I was in the area for work, so I thought I'd give it a try. Had the pad Thai chicken to go. It was absolutely wonderful. Staff were very friendly. Good crowd with a pleasant atmosphere.

First time here, and having Thai in general. We tried satay chicken appetizer. The chicken was on the dry side but the peanut sauce made the dish. We shared the Mali Thai glass noodles and it was delicious. We got spice level one and it had quite a kick. Great flavor though and we enjoyed it. We will come back.

Not really. Service was fine. I just felt the food was mediocre at best. It was kinda like the American version of Chinese.

We shared some sunmer rolls with tofu to start and I opted for the #54 spicy crispy chicken basil. The summer rolls were beautifully presented and tasted very refreshing. The peanut dipping sauce went well with the rolls. The chicken was very crispy, with a slightly spicy sauce. It had a good amount of basil and veggies with it too. The rice was a little bit mushy in some parts but plentiful. Service was friendly and we were checked on as needed. Portions are very generous.

I'm gonna update this review based on two recent visits within a couple of weeks…read more Food is excellent and a lot of gluten free options as well. Big plus. Both the Holy Basil Chicken and the Spicy Crispy Chicken Basil chicken dishes are excellent. Spicy Crispy Chicken basil has a great sauce (I really like the tamarind sauce in general, it comes with the wings) and very crispy tender chicken. The carrots are great and while I'm not a fan of red/green peppers, they're pretty good too. Chicken wings are breaded in rice flour so not only are they also gluten free, but they're light and crispy and delicious! Service is GREAT. Last visit our server was Dena and she was so great! She made the experience a lot of fun with her upbeat and friendly personality, her attentive and thorough service, and her menu knowledge. I had been considering trying the Pad Prik Pow Crispy Chicken dish, having already had the Spicy Crispy Chicken Basil and loving that dish but wondering how this preparation varies from it. Dena explained that it's got the peanuts and red onions and big green onions but still the same lightly battered chicken. And she wasn't wrong. It was great. She was just pleasant and helpful and fun. The previous visit our server was Kiara. She's great at her job as well. Very endearing and personable, makes sure you're always taken care of, and we even had a nice conversation about music (based on what was playing in the restaurant at the time) with her (it was a slow time of day so no other diners were harmed during the conversation ). Really like their Pinot Grigio bottle option as well - tastes great and a great price point. Fortunate to have Tuk Tuk offering such a great selection of delicious food with great service and many gluten-free options.

We started with the spring rolls which were fresh and light. A little bit of mint and a delicious peanut sauce with a hint of heat. The rolls are large and make part of a meal by themselves. They have tofu options as well making them a vegetarian option. We ordered the Panang Chicken Curry and Crab noodles. Both were aromatic and good portions. We got two meals out of them. The chicken was a good curry with bright notes including basil. Large pieces of chicken as well as vegetables made the dish hearty. If you like Thai curry, it is excellent. The crab noodles had large amounts of shredded crab and egg. The sauce was slightly sweet and complimented the crab perfectly. Agin the amount of crab made it a hearty meal. The noodles were thin and light and perfectly prepared. Both dishes had a balance of flavors that spoke of a good chef who paid attention even in a fast paced restaurant. This is an excellent and affordable Thai option in Tucson!

I ordered the Beef and Eggplant, and Pad Thai both were great. The portions are huge and enough for two meals. You can ask for different spice levels, which is always nice for wimps like me. LOL I will definitely be back for more and try their other location. We didn't take any photos but yeah great food.

When…read morewe walked in after shopping at the international market next door, we were seated right away. There are several different condiments, extra napkins, and utensils already on the table for your convenience. Our food arrived quickly and both items had such depth of flavor! The rice noodles with scallion oil came with onions wrapped in beef and grilled, something we had never tried before but were just as good as it sounds. The pho broth also clearly had been simmering for hours. It was dark and rich in flavor while the veggies were still crisp and fresh. For living in central Tucson, this place is definitely worth the 20 minute drive!

My favorite Vietnamese food in Tucson in terms of the food itself…read more My favorites here: #16 Seasoned Julienned taro root with vermicelli noodles, pickled daikon and the typical vietnamese herbs etc and sweet soy sauce. It comes with fried tofu typically but they let you exchange the tofu with a couple of their delicious vietnamese crispy rice paper egg rolls that are stuffed with deliciously seasoned tofu (#14 on the menu) and that's my favorite way to order it. Mixing all of it together is heaven. This is by far my favorite here! I find that I generally really like taro- all parts of the plant! The root as served in this restaurant and in Thai desserts, the leaves in filipino laing and the stalk (elephant ear stalk) in vietnamese Canh Chua soup. #20 Fried rice noodles dish (ask for the crispy option!) . This one became quite expensive recently but when I had it in the past it was delicious. Definitely get the crispy version! #14: Those vietnamese crispy rice paper egg rolls that are stuffed with deliciously seasoned tofu are so good. They let you get them a la carte but the full plate comes with the sauce and herbs. I get them as part of #16 as described above so it has the sauce and herbs in that dish as well. I really love that they have a vegetarian and vegan menu and that they have the vegan sweet soy sauce available in place of fish sauce for that menu. The restaurant is attached to Lee Lee international supermarket which is an absolute must visit in my opinion for international food lovers and people who want to learn about world cuisines. It's a great place to find international ingredients that are not easily found elsewhere. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back but a decent place 4 stars: Great place. I would go back. 5 stars: I highly recommend stopping whatever you are doing and making plans to try it out! An Evie favorite!

After probably more than a dozen meals there, I've never been disappointed in the quality of the food or the service. It has a "no-nonsense" interior that suits the purpose just fine. The dish that used to be my go to was the ginger chicken, but the chicken quality is noticeably less tender, on the stringy side. So I switched to order other dishes like their tofu dishes or an occasional Mongolian meat dish. Again, the meat & sauce similarities (hard to tell them apart) are noticeable. It's still a decent place for a fast meal or easy takeout but I find myself looking elsewhere for Chinese food. Their fried rice was always basic, but now it's like it got hit with some soy sauce & little else Prices have gotten a bit higher (like they do :) though they're still cheaper than many) but quality has gone down a notch or more. Not saying I'll never be back, but it's not on my bi weekly dont wanna cook lets eat out rotation. Oh well.
