We had the Roti Canai to start and ordered the drunken noodles (which was a bit over cooked and mushy, but still tasty) and thai massaman curry with chicken, which was excellent! Came in and was seated right away, coming before 7 on a Friday night is a must because they get pretty busy. A lot of people were waiting for pick up orders for like 30+ mins so order ahead of time. We got a bunch of appetizers. Please please try the peanut tofu item on the appetizer menu, sounds and looks a lil weird, but i loved it. I wasn't able to take picture of all the apps we got because we were starving. My grandma got the udon soup she really liked it, just SUPER filling. I got sweet potato and shrimp tempura rolls. As well as shrimp pad Thai noodles. They were delicious. The veggie dumplings were steamed and my little cousin liked them as well. Our meals did take a long time but each appetizer came out one by one so it basically let up to our meal so we didn't feel the wait. Located in a old strip mall in Levittown the interior decor was quite surprising. It's colorful with wood accents, ambient lighting and photographic murals. Service was good as it should have been considering we were the only patrons. We started with the Thai chicken nuggets. Honestly, they were very dry and the dipping sauce was way too sweet. I had Beef Chow Fun. It had very little beef and the portion was small. It was not however, short on taste. My husband had the Malay Sambal Chicken prepared with shrimp paste, onions and peppers. Again, very small portion but as far as taste he like the spiciness. He also noticed instead of chicken breast they use thighs which is more tender. Overall the food is decent but nothing special. The best and most authentic asian food I have found in the area. It's similar to the Malaysian restaurants in Edison NJ. The signapore mei fun had a ton of flavor and had real curry powder on it. They were a little skimpy on the meat in the lunch portion. Maybe 3 little pieces of chicken in the noodles. The flavor was so good I looked past the amount of meat in the dish. Besides, it is a lunch portion for $7. It came with a side salad with a really great refreshing dressing on it. It also came with a little fried spring roll. So I have probably spent a small fortune at this place over the past year or so. I usually order and normally everything is fine. However, after my experience tonight I really don't think I will be going back. I ordered while I was on my way home from work. My estimated delivery time was about an hour away, my drive is an hour. My roommate was home. I have my phone turned on to Do Not Disturb when I drive. Apparently, the delivery driver did not knock or ring the door bell, but called my cell phone. When I didnt answer, I got a 2 minute voice mail of him complaining about me to my neighbor. I guess he didnt know it was still recording? So I called my roomate and she said he was very rude to her when he dropped the food off as well. Wasnt exactly what I would call a pleasant exprience. read more

Found this restaurant while I was passing by this town, so I didn't expect much of this place. The shopping center where this restaurant is located looked somewhat beaten down. However, inside restaurant looked fresh and new. Staffs were pleasant and the food was unexpectedly good. I was surprised by the food because it was so good. We ordered spicy beef with coconut rice& some kind of fried rice. Spicy beef was so moist & well seasoned. Coconut rice was okay;we paid $1-2 extra but I will stick to brown rice if I ever go back. Fried rice was very good too. Only thing was that they forgot our chicken pad thai. We didn't mention it to the waiter because we were in hurry and what we had was just enough. When a Malaysian food craving hit, my parents and I picked up dinner from here on a lazy Sunday night. We were longing for something spicy so we thought we would get our fix at Malay Thai Kitchen. Sadly, we didn't. The restaurant is located in a strip mall in Levittown, PA. It looks small and even a bit dingy from the outside, but you'll see that it isn't at all once you walk in. It's actually pretty vibrant and lively. It is very causal so for those who plan to dine in, no need to dress up! Our order consisted of (1) Indian pancake with curry chicken sauce, chicken and eggplant with spicy garlic sauce, and Mee Goreng. All was prepared quickly but unfortunately, the quick preparation showed through once we dove in... First of all, our entree came with rice so we asked for the coconut rice but I'm pretty sure that we just received plain white rice. Either that, or the coconut was really lacking. The chicken and eggplant dish with spicy garlic sauce was good, but only after we took some time to throughly mix it. It seemed as though all of the sauce and spices had settled into the bottom of the container. It also wasn't spicy at all as indicated on the menu. The Mee Goreng wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was decent. The Indian pancake with curry sauce was great, but the curry came in such a small container that wasn't even all the way full. I felt like they really skimped out on us. All in all, Malay Thai Kitchen didn't really impress me. Perhaps I'll try this place out again in the future (dining in might be a better choice than take out?) but only because Malaysian cuisine is really lacking in this area. Really liked this establishment. Came here with the family after cruising around and enjoying a few car shows within the area.Never knew of this place, Yelp found it for us and glad we stopped by. The Indian pancake appetizer was amazing, very tasty and pleasant surprise for a non-indian establishment. The red thai chicken curry was delicious, but the pad thai was one of, if not, the best I've ever had. The thai coffee was ok, did not taste as authentic as I've had in Thailand. The place is located on the corner which seems like it used to have a drive thru from precious business. Outside of restaurant had pictures of some of the entrees taped to the window. Inside decor was relatively nice. No customers were there at the time when we walked in. Was greeted right away and seated by waiter. Took our order without paper (very impressive but you forgot my mango salad) Satay beef and Malaysian ice coffee were good. My girlfriend got the Thai tea which she stated tasted somewhat powdery and different tasting than your regular Thai teas we've had at other establishments. Satay tofu seemed to be over cooked. Ordered crispy chicken entree which had sweet n sour sauce laid out on the plate before crispy chicken was placed on top with various veggies and mango. Taste wasn't that great. Girlfriend ordered the massaman curry beef which was pretty bland. Waiter was very attentive nonetheless. Side note, super rude man sitting behind us yelling for water, belching and blowing his nose the entire time made the experience unappetizing. Malay Thai Kitchen is surprisingly good. Looking at it's location, the building exterior, and the track record of restaurants in the area, you would expect something less than what this place is, an excellent place to get some Malaysian and Thai food. The most important thing is the food and that's what's best. Prices are average, maybe a dollar higher than many strip mall asian eateries, but it's well worth it. Portions are very nice and not just a mountain of vegetables. The meat to vegetable ratio is much better than normal, plus the meat quality is better than that weirdly textured stuff you get around here. I took the folks out for lunch. We ordered pineapple chicken curry, the house special squid, and beef rendang. As primarily a meat eater, the rendang was very satisfying in flavor and portion. My dad got the curry and he didn't leave a drop of sauce or speck of anything. He's not a big eater at all, so this was surprising. Mom got the squid and finished that off. Neither one typically does this. When the food arrived, both had commented that each plate was two meals. Service was polite, but the language barrier very much limits the hospitality component of wait service. Definitely hit this again.
