Our absolute favorite take out for various Asian cuisines. We order here a few times per month and while it's not perfect, it's as near as you can get and blows any competition away. Our go to favorites are pictured and we will mix it up with chicken, tofu and shrimp. A few other favs are Drunken Noodle and the Basil Rice. You must try this place asap and put it into your rotation!

Christi was amazing!!! She was helpful in recommending items and patient. And the food was great especially the duck and we got sauce on the side. Kids loved the wonton soup (small had three dumplings)

We ordered here for Xmas day dinner and definitely feel rewarded for breaking from our norm! Order was placed the millennial way: online. We specified very little spice, as they do bring the heat! Not enough to be unpleasant or anything, but enough to maybe clear the sinuses and break a slight sweat. My entree was beef rendang. The beef was tender and surprisingly still a bit pink. For me, the rarer the better and this is hard feat to pull off in a stew. Another delightful surprise was they offer a choice of rice: brown, jasmine or fried. I went with brown to try to be a little healthy and because I hate eggs! It was nicely cooked and absorbed the rendang sauce well. Boo ordered dumplings and drunken noodles. She enjoyed them both, and said they had some heat despite the "very little spice" request. One slight disappointment was the satay- the chicken and beef tasted like it was sitting around a while and didn't have much flavor. Oddly sweet. I'd skip this next time. We also split a philly roll and ordered a piece of tuna and a piece of salmon sashimi. The fish was fresh despite being Christmas Day, which was a delightful surprise to my cynical brain. Our cat Alfie also enjoyed his piece of tuna sashimi. We've been to other sushi places where he didn't eat the fish, and we don't typically return to these venues! Bonus points for the throw-in of a few cans of soda for the brief 5 minute wait upon arrival. Staff was friendly, and parking was ample on the holiday. Like many things around here, the restaurant is tucked away in a 1960s era strip mall. But it does the job! I've never thought of myself as a big Asian food person, but Malay Thai kitchen opened my eyes (and sinuses)! I'll be ordering the beef rendang again, and next time it won't be as a relationship compromise!

Running an errand near Oxford Valley today (Jan. 12 2020) and stopped in for lunch at Malay Thai Kitchen. It's too bad this isn't closer to home... Fast courteous service and delicious food. I enjoyed the tasty Thai salad which had pineapple and mixed veggies and spices and peanut sprinkled. Nice starter! For my entree I enjoyed the chicken Sambasl and side of coconut rice. Really tasty with the veggies and spices. I'll be enjoying this meal again as I have leftovers for take away!

Malay Thai Kitchen has an extensive menu with many Thai and Malaysian dishes, as well as a comprehensive sushi selection and some signature Chinese dishes. I've come here a few times and still want to return to try other things on their menu! They have lunch specials but only for the sushi. Most recently I had their Thai Basil Eggplant and Pad Woon Sen. The dishes come with a choice of white, brown, or coconut rice; it's nice that the latter two options don't cost extra. If you want egg fried rice instead it would be an extra $2. The food tastes good, though sometimes feels a tad too salty towards the end. The restaurant has nice decorations and music playing in the background. They provide wifi. Service is courteous and refilled water as needed.

Don't buy food from Malay Thai Kitchen unless you want to be left waiting forever to find out they delivered to the wrong address. The text I have said my food would be free. They charged my card $31.02 anyway! I reached out to clear this up as I am a very loyal customer but never had to suffer their horrible customer service. I buy from them at least 2x a month and it's for more than one person. This time was just me. I give the guy a great tip every time. Because they refused to honor what their driver told me they lost about $150 a month. Over a lousy $31. Great business decision. They wouldn't even give me a credit so I cursed him $31 worth.

Inside were shrimp shumai, gyoza, Chili Korean Bao, a two-protein poke burrito stuffed with crab meat and spicy tuna, plus a spicy tuna roll and a spicy scallop roll. This is more food than any two people strictly need, which is one of civilization's finer achievements. The good news: nothing was bad. Not a single bite asked to be forgiven. The shrimp shumai were the clear overachievers: plump, warm, and reassuring, like a friendly lecture from someone who actually did the reading. The spicy scallop roll was their equal, delivering that perfect balance of heat and sweetness that makes you briefly optimistic about the future of humankind. The poke burrito was ambitious, a bold little manifesto wrapped in rice and seaweed. Crab meat and spicy tuna got along just fine, though the whole affair leaned more toward "good" than "revelation." The spicy tuna roll was solid and dependable, like a Midwestern uncle who always shows up on time. The gyoza and Chili Korean Bao did their jobs honorably, though neither demanded a standing ovation. Everything arrived intact, flavorful, and prepared by people who seemed to care, always a comfort in an indifferent universe. Four stars, then, because perfection is suspicious and because it's nice to leave something to strive for tomorrow.

They'll provide like a checklist you can mark and since I was ordering for 2 people that would have been helpful. 4 stars Ambiance had something to be desired. I'd very much recommend ordering takeout. The place inside was actually very nice and had a good vibe... but there was an overwhelming chemical smell that I could have never been able to eat around. The good news is that it was definitely from some sort of cleaning product. Disinfectant? Bleach? Degreaser? Sanitizer? So from a cleanliness perspective, im reassured that they are thorough. From an appetizing perspective. Not so much. 2.5 stars Summary: I'd definitely order take out from here again in a minute.

This place is small and intimate with only 8 sushi bar seats and 8 table seats. A great vibe and ambiance to watch your sushi chef expertly prepare your meal. Unfortunately, a couple decided to bring their small children that were talking very loudly and had occasional screams. There is a place and time to bring your kids dining and fine dining isn't one of them. Our favorite appetizer was the chanwanmushi! They packed so much umami into such a small dish and the texture of the egg was like silken tofu. My husbands favorite piece of nigiri was the otoro as the tuna was so fatty and just melted in your mouth. Mine was the uni spoon which was a small dish of uni, ikura, caviar, and rice. The hand rolls were a highlight too! After the 6 courses are done you're able to order ala carte and I'm so glad I got an ikura hand roll. Service is impeccable and everyone was very kind and thoughtful. Overall a great experience and an omakase spot we would come back to.

Unfortunately, bento box steak was chewy, dried out and could not eat it. Expected better for $30 since it is not a large portion. Chicken also dried out like it was sitting out too long or not quality. Sticky rice was pasty. Bang bang shrimp had too many shells and also over fried or dried out. Sushi rolls not plump like it use to be. Saturday night and sad to see tables were not turning over. At least "take out" looked busy. In fact, I called the restaurant twice at two different times and frustrating that no one answered the phone. When I arrived and asked if the phones were working I was told he is too busy to answer. Hmm. Not good. Our server was sweet and friendly but she disappeared when we needed her a few times. Spent too much time trying to flag her down. That took away from special conversation with friends. We were all fans of Oishi but not rushing back. I miss BYOB...however, at least they have a cork fee ($15) if you choose byob. We were seated promptly at our reservation time. The restaurant itself gives standard hibachi vibes, with grills, big tables that seat about 8 people and the expectation that you're going to be seeing shrimp tails flying into hats or the hibachi chef starting an onion volcano. Unfortunately, the vibe felt very flat once we realized there would be no show of anything due to the restrictions of the other family seated at our table. *FOOD* The quality of the food was just okay. With the hibachi dinners, in addition to your selection of a main, usually comes with a soup, salad, shrimp appetizer and ice cream. However, the food wasn't memorable where I need to run back here. *SERVICE* Our waitress was very attentive and did a great job of explaining things as it was our first time there. There is a 18% service charge for parties of 2 or more and you get a 3% discount if paying in cash. For the price and expectations of a hibachi steakhouse, I was hoping for a better overall experience. While I understand accommodating certain restrictions of other parties, it was frustrating that this meant the entire table missed out on the experience without any prior warning or alternative option that should've been mentioned to us before we sat down. Overall, hibachi is as much about the show as it is about the food and missing that really took away from the experience. Combined with the average food, I probably would not return.

Parking was easy to find, the lot is shared with the rest of the small strip mall anchored by a CVS. The young lady who took my order over the phone also greeted me when I entered. She was so nice, helpful and detailed when explaining the menu. The inside of the restaurant appeared clean and welcoming for dining in. They offer chilled and room temperature Chinese flavored waters, Japanese marble sodas, Thai tea, soda and sparkling water. My wife and kids wanted Chicken Teriyaki $10.75 - the lunch portion came with veggies and rice. The portion was small, but they all enjoyed the flavors and said the chicken was fresh. I had ordered the Shoyu Ramen (Chashu pork) Corn, nori, boiled egg, kikurage and scallion at $14.75. The noodles were a big glob and had to be broken up. The broth was spicy, delicious and made up for the noodles. The pork was two thinly sliced medallions that were juicy and flavorful. I made three bowls of soup with the portion, so it was plenty for a second/third meal. I also ordered the Yummy Yummy Roll off the special roll menu $14.75 - Shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado, salmon, eel sauce, spicy mayo & tobiko. It didn't hold together well and was ok/good. I would try another roll if I return. Their menu is pretty extensive with Japanese offerings of soups, salad, yakitori, sushi/sashimi, gyoza, hibachi meals, bento box meals, udon, ramen, etc. If I have a return trip I would eat in if having ramen, but the take out experience was good. I'll say it again the young lady working there was patient and an absolute pleasure to deal with! Thanks guys!
