I enjoy the Thai cuisine the most. Don't get me wrong. I like the Chinese food as well. I particularly like the presentations of the food when I'm dining in with an orchid on the plate made of carrot for decoration. Some of the dishes are hot plates and the sizzle of the food and aroma that fills the air makes my mouth water. All of the food is super good and delicious. The service is equally impressive and the servers have great knowledge and are well-versed with the menu and genuinely courteous. This is the best restaurant hands-down anywhere in Bucks County. read more

The atmosphere is relaxed and easy to talk. Service was quick and attentive, especially the gentleman and the young lady who took great care of us. My friend and I ordered general tso's chicken which was very crispy with less breading, just how it should be. The dumplings were also excellent, with a thin wrapper and lots of meat inside. Everything came out fast and fresh. We'll be back for sure. read more

I used online website and chose "Dragon and Phoenix $13.50 Two dishes in one chunks of lobster in a chili sauce and deep fried chunks of chicken in our tangy sauce. Served with white rice." What I got was shrimp and chicken. Now, the dish was tasty, but I ordered lobster and got shrimp (which causes me an allergic reaction -histamines). Their printed menu does spec shrimp and bot lobster. I called the restaurant and I could hear a lot of " finger pointing" in the background. Offered to credit cost of Dragon and Phoenix. Will see how that goes. read more

the food is good but the servers are very unfriendly, almost rude. we asked for the noodles and they would not give us until we ordered. I felt like they were doing us a favor by serving us. I really try not to go, don't deserve to be treated that way when I pay good money. read more

We have been ordering from here for years but lately it's hit or miss. All of a sudden I can't order my favorite Pad Thai except during lunch! Wtf? And tonight they forgot soup noodles and I ordered Chicken Satay and the peanut sauce was frozen!!!! May have to look for a new place! read more

Stopped in here on the way Al from Yardley. Just wanted to do takeout and it looked pretty busy on a Saturday evening...the phones were constantly ringing but there didn't seem to be as many dining in so apparently delivery is pretty popular there. My chicken y garlic was pretty pricey at $13, but the wife's won ton was on par with what she was used to paying in Philadelphia... and although it tasted better than some of the other local places we've tried, it still wasn't Philadelphia quality to her^ read more

I had the worst experience with this restaurant. I am visiting my mom from out of state and my family ordered from them on Christmas. I am vegan and ordered the masaman curry. There was no option to select tofu so I put tofu in the note and said no meat just to be safe. When the food arrived 3 hours later my dish had no tofu or veggies in it. It was just sauce with some diced potatoes for $16. That was it. I've had this dish 3x exactly as I ordered it in the past and it comes with green veggies and tofu when requested. The management refused to deliver my food again and only offered to refund my meal. I don't care about $16. I had no dinner with my family on Christmas. The manager was rude and tried to gaslight me by saying that they didn't include tofu because the word "add" wasn't before the word "tofu". I attached a screenshot. I will never return there and neither will my family or friends. I can find good food and kind service elsewhere. Good luck with your business when you treat customers like this. read more

This has been my local go to for a casual affordable meal (though they do offer specialties at $18). The combination platter is a great deal with choice of soup, egg roll, dish and fried rice. They also offer a 'diet menu' with choice of steamed dish, choice of sauce and white rice. Past meals I've tried so far like House lo mein (not combo) and bourbon chicken were both tasty. I always choose the wonton soup, the broth is so good and the wontons decent. The egg roll is nothing special. The first time i had the pork fried rice it was the best ive ever had! This time it was shockingly tasteless, what happened??? This time we had Gen Tsos chicken, and shrimp in garlic sauce. Spice can be adjusted to your taste and when we asked for mild it was perfectly mild. Both meals were delicious but the shrimp can be more garlicy. I enjoy the hot tea as well. The interior has comfortable booths and a beautiful well-kept fish tank. The service is fine. But after the disappointment with the fried rice I may have to try other places. read more

Our first choice was Hong Kong Pearl but they haven't been open in months so my wife's co-workers recommended this place and figured we'll give it a shot. Needless to say, I will not be going back to my old favorite place. This place has amazing food, great prices and overall excellent service. Highly recommend read more

We first ate at Plum Tree Garden 15 or so years ago. It was recommended for its Thai food. Reality is that it is primarily a Chinese restaurant that also serves some Thai dishes. There are Chinese and Thai lunch specials for under $8. We went for the chicken in green curry and chicken pad see yu. Both were good but not exceptional; level of spiciness is predetermined. They do not have chili fish sauce -- the staple of a true Thai restaurant. Parking is shared with others in small strip mall. read more

Searching for a better local Thai restaurant has become a challenge. I was craving Thai food tonight and decided to try Plum Tree for the first time, instead of my regular place. It's interesting to see how restaurants prepare the same dish.. when I go to a Thai restaurant, I always order the same green curry with vegetables and chicken, and a side of peanut sauce, and coconut chicken soup.. I added the Chinese dumplings to the order. So, the soup had a ton of large sliced red peppers in it. Quite a lot. I decided to save it for lunch tomorrow. The dumplings are good. I like the sauce it comes with, though it's watered down. The green curry disappoints a little bit. The chicken and vegetables are mushy, very over cooked, oh boy more red peppers! And Green ones! The curry sauce is very thick and creamy, I'm just not sure.. I don't think I would order it again. The peanut sauce usually a little thicker and it is very watery, but this peanut water does taste good... a little thin. All in all this did not hit the mark for me. My search goes on! read more

Our favorite Chinese restaurant in the Levittown area, and believe me, we have many to choose from. Space is quiet and clean. Portions are large and fairly priced. Tried Plum Garden today for the first time. It's Mothers Day so I ordered early, 4:00. They told me it would be 1.5 hours and I said that's fine. They even told me it might not be hot, again I accepted that. When food arrived they sent the wrong item. I called immediately and they said it would be long for the replacement but they would send it. After waiting an hour and 1/2 I called back and they said it was out. It never arrived. The local place we usually order from was recently busted for human trafficking, sad but true. My hunt for correct and ethical Chinese deliver will continue. read more

My boyfriend and I went here around 9 pm one evening since they are open until 10. He even called ahead of time and was assured they were open until 10. The entire experience was extremely rushed and service was lacking. I ordered the vegetable fried rice which was not hot when it arrived and was very bland. I'm also used to egg being in it. My boyfriend ordered the pu pu platter. Normally it comes with some kind of sauce (at other places). He wasn't happy with it and it wasn't hot. He asked the waitress for some kind of dipping sauce and she told him no and to just use the sauce that came with the free appetizer!!! Horrible service and response! The spicy sauce that normally comes with the pu pu platter is nothing like the sweet sauce that is given with the free crispy strips. As we are eating we notice everyone in the back waiting to leave. We still had 20 minutes until closing time. Then at 9:45 we were told they are closing in 5 minutes. We couldn't even eat our fortune cookies there or calculate a correct tip since they wanted us to leave so quickly. On a positive note, the man who answered the phone was very friendly and the portions were big, but our female waitress was very unhelpful, condescending, and looked at us like we are idiots. We don't go out to eat much so this was very disappointing. We both agreed that the mall right next door has better food, service, and is cheaper. I've never been to a restaurant where the waitress did not want to make the meal pleasant or accommodating. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service on the planet. Avoid this place like the plague. Placed an order on line and went it with the confirmation and an online coupon. They didn't have the order prepared and said it never came over. No consideration was made to compensate other than to say I'll take the order now. We asked to have it delivered since they deliver and it was going to be another 20-30 minutes. The manager then refused to take the 10% off coupon since he said it's for pickup only. This made me furious as it wasn't our fault they didn't have the food prepared. He is the most ignorant ass I've ever come across in the food service business, this is not the first time I've had a problem with him either. Go anywhere else, Hong Kong Pearl has better food, so now I'll drive the extra mile. read more

My first time back here since joining Yelp*. New Plum Tree is a Chinese/Thai restaurant in name, but it is fundamentally Chinese American cuisine with a Thai menu thrown in for good measure. Neither are really outstanding, but both are competently prepared for the local palate. I tend toward the Thai side of the street and have tried several dishes from noodle (Pad Thai) through Curries (Like the Green Curry dishes better than the Red). Today I stopped in just after 12, which is early for me, but I was coming back from Philly, and decided to sit down rather than pick something up to eat at my office. I had a veggie plate primarily of Eggplant mixed with Green and Red Pepper, Carrots, Peas, and Basil Leaves. It had a mildly spicy brown sauce that also suggested some Ginger Root in the mélange. It was good, and felt to be a healthier alternative without meat. What can I say? It was Okay. I am not rushing back, but neither will I avoid it. My fortune: "If it seems fates are against you today, they probably are." Thanks. I already knew that! Learn Chinese:" A moment" = Yi hui er. Yes. Time waits for no one. New Plum Tree Garden does a great job combining Thai and Chinese food all in one menu. Everything that I've tried out has been very tasty and reasonably priced considering how much food they give you. In fact, I can never finish my entire entree because their portions are so large, yet anything that I don't eat makes for great leftovers. I do have issues with their service, however. It seems as if anytime that I go there, they only have around 1-2 servers working, so they oftentimes look overwhelmed, confused, or just fed up. I almost feel bad for the waiters/waitresses. They mean well, but I think their service system needs some fine-tuning. That, and they need to hit up Restaurant Makeover like whoa. Nevertheless, food at New Plum Tree Garden is very good. Perhaps your best bet is take-out. My favorites: - Orange Chicken (probably the best I've ever had) - Coconut Chicken Soup - Steak Salad - Indian Golden Bread read more

Done with this place. Ate here for years and even brought friends fro out of town to this gem. Last 3x the flavors have been bland and I have given them plenty of opportunities and the benefit of the doubt. This last time no one felt well after eating here and that is a good indicator that we won't be back. Unfortunate since this was one of the best Thai places in the area. read more

Went here for my birthday. We've been here before and recalled the good food. Yes, it was very good, again. The food is tasty and is as what can be expected for a suburban Chinese/Thai restaurant. The service was slightly slow, but it was busy for a Friday night. Highly recommend it. read more

We order from here at least once a month. Some dishes are good and some are really not very good. However, my choices in the area are severely limited. They serve Americanized Chinese foot and Thai style food. I cannot say that the food I have ordered from here compares to either real Thai restaurants I have eaten in or Chinese restaurants in Chinatown. But like I mentioned not a lot of choices in this area. I really thing that as people get more sophisticated restaurants like these should stove harder to offer authentic Chinese dishes prepared well along side of the Americanized ones. Also get a Thai chef that knows their Thai ingredients and preparations well enough to pass for the real stuff. For example maybe offer roasted duck that compares to Chinatown roast duck instead Of crispy duck only. Just a suggestion in case anyone is listening. read more

A total hidden gem just off of business Route 1 in Langhorne. By hidden I mean hidden. You will not even see a sign for it from the road unless you deliberately turn into the mall strip and drive half way in just to see the restaurant. Even then you may hesitate to go in and try it. It looks more or less like a Chinese take out place. Trust me when I say you don't want to miss out. The restaurant is very spacious but moderately decorated. Nothing really stands out and it doesn't fall into any category. It's not quite fancy enough to be classy or broken enough to discourage customers. None of this really matters however, as the food, service and prices are excellent! I got the mint fried rice with chicken and curry chicken with onions. So I got the fried rice out of curiosity because who the heck fry rice with mint? Guess what? Everyone should!! Omg it was good! The rice give you three layers of flavor. Upon your first bite you will be rewarded with sweetness, followed by an aromatic, savory wok charred rice and finally ends on a refreshing slight minty note. This is by far the most creative combination I've had in fried rice. It's so crazy how the mint takes away all that oily, stirred fry taste. It actually cleans up and refreshes your taste palate. The curry chicken with onion is also terrific. Note that this particular curry dish is stirred fried, not saucy. The flavor is more akin to Indian and Malaysian curry than Thai's. The chicken is tender and coated very well with the curry powder. The spices from the curry is immediately countered with the sweetness from the onions. It was an instant hit with me and I'll get it again. All this for less than 20 bucks. Also, come with an empty stomach because they do not skim on the portions. Bring your family here because you're gonna need help finishing! read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was fairly busy. I wasn't too pleased though. The fried wonton strips they served us were very stale, not a fan. My hot and sour soup was okay, the mushrooms didn't seem very fresh though. The beef chow fun was super bland and the noodles were all stuck together and hard. I probably won't be back here for awhile. Quality needs to be stepped up read more

I've now experienced take out and dine in here. Indoor decor is Chinese style, with friendly waitstaff. Food is a combination of Thai and Chinese. I can only attest to the great Thai cooking since that's what I tried! Great shrimp pad thai, meaning nice chewy soft noodles with a slightly sweet flavoring perfect for my taste. The green curry was superb. The chicken was perfectly tender, colorfully presented with peppers and chinese eggplant included, with the standard creamy green curry sauce. Slightly spicy, but perfectly manageable! I'm going back for more next time I'm in the area. If not, I'm asking my friend to pick up some take out to bring over! read more

Honestly, I don't know if I'd go back, but the experience was all right for what food I wanted at the time of our visit. We walked into an empty restaurant at 8pm on a Sunday night. I was a bit skeptical that the reputation this place had was accurate. The menu is so big that I felt overwhelmed, and didn't know what to choose. I finally settled on the cucumber salad and the (roughly translated) chicken noodle and spinach dish. There was a picture of it, and i was excited to try it. When the waitress arrived, I didn't get the dish I ordered. The dish I received smelled of anise and was inedible. We called the waitress over, she brought us a menu and I pointed a picture of the food I ordered. The picture of the dish I wanted and the dish i ordered were different. Why would you put a picture of a dish in a remote place on the menu and not next to the item it belongs with. VERY CONFUSING!!!! read more

Very sneaky pricing. The usual upcharge to get beef fried rice instead of white rice is $2. They wanted to charge me $5 extra this time. And not even give me white rice. Absolutely criminal!! Being charged for another side completely when I don't even get the side that comes with it. They said this is an "upgrade, not an upcharge". Absolutely ridiculous. The customer is always right!! Will not be returning. I have never seen a restaurant argue over 3 dollars. Then they had the nerve to ask for my ID. Maybe if you gave the customer their moneys worth.... read more
