We ordered from Makay Thai for the first time. Good arrived in a timely manner and good portion sizes. Four meals in total and they were all delicious. I ordered the Pad Thai which was one of the best I have eaten. It was fresh, flavorful and with good size pieces of chicken. My husband ate the chicken fried rice and likewise, had only complements. Great fast food thai, if you want it spicy, they will make it SPICY. They actually do chinese food better than the chinese food places in Levittown. Chicken satay is a good default appetizer, nothing special but still tasty. Always get drunken noodles, theyre very good adn very filling. Also it has a foul smell and is extremely overpriced. 20 dollars for a bowl of noodles with little veggies. And when I call to get my bean sprouts, they were not helpful and dismissed it saying "we didn't charge you for them" ... the worst part of that was that they called me back before it was delivered to tell me my order didn't meet the delivery requirements and charged me additional 5 dollars for something I didn't even want! Ordered from Malay for the first time on my 1/2 hour lunch break last week and was very pleased with how fast it was prepared and with the quality of the meal. I enjoyed the small side salad and egg roll that the lunch special included. I had chicken pad Thai which was very filling and more then enough for one lunch. I was able to save the leftovers and eat them later. I'm looking forward to going back to try some curry. read more

This is such a unique finding for the area. It's pretty hard to find authentic Asian cuisine outside of Philly, but I can say this place does it for real. I've had their salted egg shrimp which uses salted duck egg yolks as a seasoning that accompanies other spices on top of fried shrimp. Their black pepper short ribs are also good, nothing amazing, but definitely hits the spot. Very flavorful and pairs well with rice. The coconut rice is exactly like what it sounds. Coconut flavored rice which adds a new dimension of flavor if you're pairing it with other side dishes. It's not usually crowded, so I love the fact that I can pretty much come whenever I want, and I hope to try other dishes soon! read more

3/9/2019: First and foremost: I had to knock off an extra star for this place not being open that they punish people for using debit and credit cards. I got an extra $1.50 on my bill when I paid with a card. (If this doesn't matter to you, skip forward to the next part.) When asked why, I was told a percentage of my bill was charged because I used a card. I think it was like 5 or 6% of my bill added on. That's pretty shady and a little sad from an actual restaurant. However, they do offer a very measly 5% back on Groupon+ (the lowest I've ever seen of any restaurant on there) so I guess I didn't lose out too much. It's sad because the food was 4-star food. Maybe they will have a chance to someday regain another star or two when this policy is CLEARLY OUTLINED for people BEFORE sitting down to eat and/or paying. It doesn't matter that the extra cost was somewhat insignificant. What matters is 100% transparency. When a restaurant doesn't bring *that* to the table (no pun intended), then something's wrong. As a Yelper, I feel that it's my duty to make sure other restaurant-goers are not being gypped, no matter how small the amount of money is. I'm seeing an increase these days in restaurants, food carts, farmers markets, etc. that are punishing people for paying with card. For those who are unaware, this is in part to get customers to pay in cash so that there is no electronic record of the payment and the company can underreport their earnings come tax time. It's also because the restaurant would rather not deal with any fees charged by the card companies; they'd rather put that cost on you, even if it means losing business. Be aware that this is happening and if you see mysterious charges on some of your receipts, or what you paid does not match what the menu says, inquire further. You have a right to know. The most I've ever seen is almost 15% added on to my bill for using a card. Clearly, it wasn't that bad in this case, but it certainly can be, so just be attentive to the things you're paying for. I will continue to push for restaurants to have the additional percentage they'd like to charge for card-users clearly outlined before the customer decides to eat there. Okay, now on to the food. The food was excellent! I had the Thai red curry chicken, which I asked them to make extremely spicy (the highest level they had). The curry was much more watery than thick, and thus the bowl of curry, chicken, and vegetables looked more like a soup than anything. However, this didn't take away from the taste. To eat the food, I basically soaked the rice in the curry sauce. As the curry was so thin, it didn't really stick to the vegetables and chicken so much, but it certainly got absorbed by the rice and was just as flavorful that way. Also of note, there was a lotttt less chicken than veggies. Not by a little, but A LOT. I understand it's a money-saving thing on their part, but the ratio just wasn't right. I had a load of veggies still left on the plate by the time I was done, and that was with me shoveling veggies in my mouth with every bite. However, I would highly recommend the dish, despite these flaws. Why? Because the food was absolutely delicious. I drank the spicy, thin, liquid curry by the spoonful. It was just so good! I wouldn't have actually been upset if the curry was marketed as a curry chicken and vegetable soup. It was, once again, mouth-wateringly delicious. My friend had the sweet and sour chicken with white rice, from the portion of their menu that includes Chinese dishes. I had a bite and it was also absolutely delicious! The chicken, although covered in a perfect amount of sauce, was still crispy and delicious. It paired so amazingly well with the rice. A few other small flaws to note. They do not have a soda fountain so there won't be any refills here, as they're going to charge you by the can. They also provided only ONE single, small paper napkin per person at the table. Their dessert menu was lacking and included forgettable items like a fried banana and ice cream. I believe it only had 3 items in total. Would've been an absolute dream to finish off this excellent food with an authentic Thai dessert or two. -------- 3/16/2019: I ordered for delivery on Grubhub. When it arrived, the delivery person knocked for literally two seconds. As I was coming down the stairs, I opened the door to find my food SITTING ON THE FLOOR OUTSIDE. The delivery guy looked like he was about to just drive off as he had already started walking away. When he saw me, he hurriedly turned around, said sorry, picked my food up off the FLOOR OUTSIDE and handed it to me. read more
