The food was very tasty and light. The waitress was very friendly and very attentive. Cute little place, easy to fine, but you do have to pay for street parking, $5.00 for two hours. I highly recommend it!

I ordered Singapore rice noodleswith chicken and it was supposed to have vegetable. I got three strips of peppers and one small piece of what appears to be.bok choy and some beans spouts. One thing a self proclaimed vegetarian, friendly restaurant should not be skimping on the veggies. Dish was tasteless, greasy and had very little seasoning.

Cute little spot, came for lunch. Was greeted by the waiter who was pretty friendly throughout the whole meal. Started with the roti paratha, which is a must when we come to Malaysian restaurants. There were two slices of roti and taste-wise they were pretty standard. The dipping sauce was up to par-nothing terribly unique about it. The mee goreng was super average. The noodles were nice but there wasn't as much flavor as I was hoping. Would definitely recommend asking for soy sauce and chili oil to mix in. Pork rib noodle soup was nice. There was a good amount of meat and it was nicely tender-easy to bite off the bone. The broth itself was pretty flavorful (benefited also from the chili oil). Overall worth the try if you like Malaysian food.

We were very excited to discover Malay nearby in Morristown, and we had to check it out. We ordered the Malay Prawn Mee, Chicken Sambal, and the Roti Canai. Roti Canai is one of my favorite Malaysian dishes, but this didn't quite hit the spot. The roti wasn't soft and dip-able. It was kind of flaky and kept falling apart every time I tried to use it to scoop up some curry. The curry was a little watery and not all that flavorful, and I defintiely would've appreciated more than just one or two chunks of potato and chicken. The chicken sambal and soup were additionally a bit disappointing. The chicken sambal was just okay for me, and the flavor didn't really blow me out of the water. It almost felt like something I could make at home. The soup similarly did not have a particularly rich or flavorful broth, and left me a little dissapointed. Another thing that really influences my review is how cold it was inside. It got even colder when people opened and closed the door. It was so cold that our food didn't seem hot. I think the cold air cooled it off instantly and we were left eating room temperature chicken and soup.

You owe it to yourself to get that dish at least once in your life. I can also recommend... basically anything with the word Malay attached, which tells me the other dishes are probably also good if that's your style. Well today, I'm ordering takeout to start my holiday a little sooner, but service is prompt and friendly. They're happy to answer your questions and offer advice on your order. They recommended me away from getting something breaded to go, as being covered would steam the crispiness away. How thoughtful. So as my meal gets ready to join me, I'll keep you updated with how much I love this place: It's back in my regular rotation of local restaurants.

Pasar Malam lives up to the stellar food of its predecessor with service that is much better than the former. On a Saturday evening, there were several patrons. We ordered Thai chicken lettuce wraps for an appetizer. For main entrees the Drunken Noodle and Kari Mee with Redang Chicken. Everything was delicious, flavorful and plentiful in portion size. The menu seemed similar to Penang. However they have added bubble teas and more drinks. Prices were very reasonable. The interior was not as dark. Perhaps, the addition of more overhead lights of just some fresh paint. I will definitely be back to try the lunch specials. Note: credit card service charge added to bill.

We especially enjoyed this taro vegetable dish we ordered - the taro comes in a deep fried ring shape surrounding all the veggies and shrimp. The drunken noodle was also really good - really nice sized shrimp in their dishes. The Hainan chicken (they call it PM chicken) is not as flavorful as other places we've had this at. I wouldn't order the curry beef next time - it's a bowl of curry sauce (although delicious) with a few pieces of beef stew; you really need it eat it with a bowl of rice and we're trying to reduce our carb intake. Overall good service. And also BYOB!

It's incredibly flavorful, comforting, and feels like true home cooking. It's such a simple dish, yet very packed with flavors. I've even dined here with meat-eaters who said they preferred it over the restaurant's meat dishes and thought it was the best item on the menu. I also highly recommend the roti canai. It's another simple dish that's full of flavor, and the curry dipping sauce is absolutely delicious. This time we also ordered the fish with the sweet and sour sauce, and it was very good. The sauce had a great balance of tangy and sweet without overpowering the fish. Penang isn't a trendy or particularly a "cute" restaurant, and the service isn't exceptional. But if you're going for the food, it's absolutely worth a visit- especially if you're vegetarian.

They were able to accommodate which was great and very kind because I know this is not typical. From there they took our orders in a timely fashion and water pitchers were provided. From there it seemed the food took forever (expected for a big group) but it came out in distinct stages. One of our tables had their food and were finished before the next received entrees. From the time we ordered around approximately 7-7:15pm, our table of 6 respectively from our group did not receive their entrees until 8:30pm. However the beef chow fun was delicious and we scarfed it down asap. I understand waiting extended times for large parties, but to see smaller tables come in (3-4 people) and leave before we had our entrees was disappointing. Since the food was still overall good I'd like to come back with a smaller group and try some other menu items.

A simple dish but one I still greatly enjoy. Also, I'm seeing less places in MD offer this as an appetizer, so I appreciated that they still offered it. And it was good for what is simply tofu. Hot when it came out, crispy, and had good texture. For my entree, I had pad thai. I asked for medium spicy and this is where I was disappointed. Their medium tasted like mild to me. Next time, I'll have to ask them for maximum spicy level as medium gave me no heat at all. The pad thai was good overall, and was a big portion, but it tasted just good, and the heat would have added a little more to it. For dessert, I had mango with sticky rice. Good, no issues here. The inside has soft lighting and soft music so it definitely works as a place for a romantic dinner for two. Overall, it's a good local thai place here in the heart of Bethlehem PA.

It appears in-person orders are accepted primarily through the kiosk. The only other person that was there was the cook in the back, and when we flagged him down with some questions about the menu, his English was pretty limited. That said, we were pretty happy with our order. We noticed a lot of happy reviews mentioned the char kway teow, and it's just as good as others have found. The serving size is hearty, and each strand of flat noodle is well-seasoned. Our other was the crab fried rice. We'd never had it before and just ordered it out of sheer curiosity. On the plus side, it had a decent amount of actual crab meat, enough to see it and taste it in the entree. But it was on the blander side and seemed very plain when contrasted with the saucy char kway teow noodles. On a whim, I also ordered a Thai iced coffee, which turned out to be a bit of a fail. There was no actual ice in the coffee (which quickly rendered it lukewarm while we were sitting and sipping), and the coffee somehow straddled both extremes of bitter and sweet - it was extremely sugary on the front and left a bitter taste on the back end. While we wouldn't go out of our way for a return trip, we were happy with our food, and even had enough to take home. I'd definitely recommend giving this spot a try if you're in the area.
