My first time here based upon reviews. I have to say the food didn't disappoint its tastes as good as it looks in the previous reviews. I was a little slow in taking photos after I got home placed it down served and tasted it, next thing I know it was all gone... My order was Pork fried rice, chicken lo mein, egg rolls and a boneless spare ribs combo, I usually add sauces to these foods just to improve the taste however I didn't use anything on anything ordered, that's a 1st in my life. The place was clean and the customer service was excellent! I will definitely be back the next time we want Chinese food! The couple of weeks ago we picked up our usual. Everything was very bland. No taste and cooked differently with absolutely no seasoning. We figured it was fluke so we ordered again and what we thought was a normal conversation, it wasn't. My husband politely asked them to make it normally like usual with more taste and man agreed and insisted that nothing has been changed. What a pleasant surprise! Tried this place for the first time as this was the closest Chinese take out place from my hotel. I ordered (to go) a small wonton soup and a triple delight with brown rice. Although I think I read "to go and for delivery" somewhere, there are 6 small tables and some counter bar space to eat inside. But I did a take out and ate in my hotel room with some Cabernet I brought from home. :) When I opened the usual brown bag, and saw the Triple Delight, I was "triple delighted" by the fresh looking ingredients. Everything looked fresh and colorful. Mr. Wonton uses fresh mushrooms (versus canned), and unlike many others, Mr. Wonton includes in their Triple Delight, nappa cabbage and zucchini as well as carrots, broccoli, mushrooms and water chestnuts. Shrimp was very fresh and plump. Beef and chicken breast meat were cooked perfectly yet tender. All the veggies were well cooked but not over-cooked. The sauce was not too salty or starchy but very flavorful. Wonton soup was light without the yellow coloring in the soup. Thank God! If they did not give me white rice instead of brown rice which I had ordered, I would give a perfect 5! read more

The vast majority of Chinese takout places DO NOT serve traditional Chinese Noodle soups (like Shrimp wonton noodle soup). I have to tell you....this place does and truly does a nice job of it. I went here per Yelp reviews, and went in the dark evening of January. It felt like I was in the middle of nowhere, in a very quiet strip mall, I didn't know what to expect. I ordered the wonton noodle vegetable soup with pork to eat there, the fantastic looking bowl comes out. For takeout, it was excellent. I plan on going back to try some other dishes, but this was am impressive first stop. The place looked pretty clean too. read more

This place is a little gem. They offer healthy options too. I usually order mixed veggies with shrimp, bean curd veggie soup, steam veggie potstickers, eggplant in garlic sauce. What I really like is that they offer a steam platter with options of veggies and sauces that are oil free. Additional for shrimp or meat and you do get a decent amount of shrimp for the price. The owner is a nice couple and the wife eats similar to the way I eat, which is mainly veggies and some seafood. Their price is very reasonable. They all know me by now. LOL. read more

Stopped in for dinner one night. It was weird to find the parking lot empty. There were basically no cars and all the stores were closed. But don't let that fool you. The food here was fabulous. Some of the best Chinese food I have tasted in Pennsylvania. This place was a nice find. Everything ordered was delicious and packed with flavor. I would highly recommend the General Tso Chicken. I decided to try this place again after several years. In the past, all I had was soup which was pretty good. This time, moo shu chicken. While the taste was just ok, it had a very small amount of chicken. When I was done eating half of it, I felt like I had mostly vegetables. The chicken that was in it was tiny pieces. I don't know what type of Restaurant this place is I was told by the person who took my order that they don't have a menu online this is the second time in the past 2 and a half weeks that I have gone to this place and they are changing there prices and not honoring what there menu online states also they forgot to put a meal in the bag I had to run all the way back to this restaurant I don't know what's going on with this place but I will be finding somewhere else to go when I want Chinese food I also don't like how there kids run things this place used to be goo but not anymore I'm not going to waste my time going to this place plus when they forget the one meal I had to travel all the way back costing gas and they charged more money it's just not worth my time anymore I want to be treated with respect as a customer and I'm not getting it at Mr. Wonton anyone read more

The best Chinese food I have found in the Emmaus/ Machungie/ Fogelsville area. The mixed vegetables with white garlic sauce is delicious. The veggies are always fresh and plentiful. Pork Lo Mein has a great flavor and loaded with nicely cooked pork. I also enjoy the steamed dumplings. One of the big things I like at Mr. Wanton, that separates them from the pack, is their noodle soups. You pick a meat, veggies, and choice of noodle. It's terrific. The staff is very friendly, which is often lost in some Chinese restaurants. They are quick and always of high quality. I have searched for a while for GREAT Chinese food in the area. Most were either just fried food or over salted junk. Mr. Wonton is by FAR the best. The vegetables are always VERY fresh and crunchy, the sauces are extremely tasty but NOT pure salt. I get the shrimp because it's fresh and NOT tiny (like 2 other places nearby). I decided to try a new place for Chinese carry-out and Mr. Wonton is just a little further than my usual choice. My usual "first time taste" is with hot and sour soup and pan-fried dumplings. I added General Tao's Chicken as the main course and was very satisfied with all my choices! The hot and sour soup was deleicious. Light with plenty of pork, julienne veggies and egg white. Spicy and tart well balanced. The dumplings were great as well, although, they could have been a bit crispier on the bottom for me. The General Tao's Chicken was served with some lightly steamed broccoli and lots of chicken. Very tasty and I would have preferred a bit more spice to the sauce. Always delicious and fast for pick up. Good variety of options. Cantonese style wontons in noodle soup! So delicious. Crab Rangoon are very tasty. Awesome vegetarian options as well. I love their general tso tofu. Also really good coupon- free general tso chicken when you order $50 which is easy for my family of 7.
