I picked up the Vegetarian Vietnamese Pho and Roasted Butternut Squash to sample a couple of flavors I normally love. Each plastic package was 12 ounces, enough for one meal. Stovetop or microwave for a few minutes and recycle the sleeve container. I slurped the pho today after shoveling the heavy fresh wet white precip that fell from early this morning. While it lacked the rich spicy lemongrass base of long time pot simmered stock found in Pho 75 and other good VN restaurants, and the thick nest of noodles and fresh pinched Thai basil leaves, it was pretty good for what it was - healthy nearly instant soup with only wholesome ingredients. A squirt of Sriracha for an extra kick and it was bowl rim to lips; bottoms up! Who had time for a spoon? BowlFace! My favorite soups are the Thai Butternut and the Vietnamese Vegetable Pho. The Thai Butternut warms you up on a cold day with the ginger. The Pho is full of mushrooms and herbs. I wish they were available all year around. The good thing about the packaging is that it freezes well! So I recommend stocking up on your seasonal favorites. Besides soup, they offer dips and macaroni and cheese. And most recently they have added salad dressing. So far I have only tried the Pickle Sriracha Dip but I have the Buffalo Cauliflower Dip in my fridge. The Pickle Dip was amazing, I can't wait to grab some more next time I'm at Organnons.
