Mike and his crew from Making Moves were excellent! Mike came to see my house and give an in-person estimate. His estimate was fair and turned out to be highly accurate after moving me from a 3rd floor condo and a separate storage unit into my new house. There were no surprises, Mike and his crew showed up on time, packed my belongings quickly in their truck, showing care to wrap all furniture with moving blankets. The unloading went smoothly as well, the team put all of the items where they belonged, I didn't have to move anything to another room when unpacking. Mike and everyone on his team were friendly, courteous, and professional. You can tell they've done this many times and it is an art for them. Mike was amazing!!! He was on time, curtious, respectful, kind and actually helped me be calm when I was getting stressed about me moving. He secured all of my furniture by wrapping it up ,so I didn't have to worry especially since they were antiques. There were no mistakes made such as banging into walls, making any marks etc. He is an excellent listener and had a lot of patience with me while I was deciding where I wanted my furniture placed in my new home. Moving is probably the most miserable experience ever, but Mike and his guys really made it easier for me and my roommate. We moved from Somerville to Charlestown and as two girls, you could say we acquired A LOT of things over the past two years. They showed up on-time, worked constantly for the 5 or so hours they were with us, and were super respectful. We moved into a second floor unit with the tiniest stairwell and they even hoisted our furniture over our deck for us. I was panicking in a corner, but they handled it like professionals. I had to move last minute and Mike and his team came through for me in a pinch. Although it was last minute they didn't treat the job that way, they were very careful and thorough with the way the prepared everything and moved it into the truck. Highly recommend this moving company. Mike and his crew went above and beyond to get my family moved and even set up difficult pieces of furniture for us. The box springs wouldn't fit up our narrow staircase so Mike even helped by cutting them and installing brackets so they could be folded in half and then fit up the stairs.
