Moving is terrible - C&C makes it almost a breeze. If I could give these guys more stars, I would- they were just that fantastic. I used C&C to help move my 78 year old old mom from a three room apartment into a 2 room one in senior housing. My mom is a pack rat with 78 years of life experience packed into her place and these guys handled it fast, well, and with grace. - Here are some of the ways C&C blew me away: First, the communication from C&C was always prompt and soothing, from my first email requesting a quote, to another email about changing the move date (to AUGUST 1st, no less!), and finally a semi-panicked email two days before about how much stuff there was. To each email, C&C responded that they could do it and everything was all set. Next, the move out. The guys were incredibly friendly while projecting total confidence - which was completely warranted. Each guy treated my frazzled mom like a queen, genuinely listening to her tales about this piece of furniture or that picture, all while keeping everything moving. They assured her that they would take good care of everything and they absolutely did. All while moving incredibly fast and organizing a very disorganized pile of stuff. Then, the move in. How they got my mom's 60 x 80 headboard into her new place, I will never know but I think it may have been magic (they also disassembled and reassembled the bed super-quick). They got everything in, moved stuff around, and handled a nosy neighbor graciously and effectively. Finally, the price. They charged exactly what they estimated, even though I think we went a little over time. Not only that, the estimate was significantly lower than other fancy-pants places that could not possibly have been more reliable, careful, fast, and friendly. I called the owner(s) several times telling them, expressing my faults about your moving company first of all hey ruined my furniture. The employees stole my golden dipped baseball cards and theg whole big bag full of vintage baseball cards. They also broke some of my furniture, and they didn't even assemble my bed. Also they broke my men's dresser and left half of my stuff still in my last place. They stole from me and they broke my furniture they didn't complete the job. I would estimate I paid them over $1,600. The original estimate was $500! I'm a 58 year old disabled woman. Seemed very nice in the phone. We were looking to have two separate moves going to one residence. The move from MA was an onsite quote. The one from NH was a guesstimate over the phone. I was told if I wanted an onsite quote I would have to pay travel time of 2 hours at I think $120 an hour. Strike #1. The CASH ONLY on both of the quotes was the huge red flag and not a company I would ever do business with. You have ZERO recourse if something goes wrong and cash is the form of payment. Strike #2. Also, who would feel comfortable walking around with $2000+ in cash? Nuts! Lots of movers who take credit cards and have decent ratings. Too bad because they seemed very nice. read more

Stay Away!! One of the owners, Charlie, came out to our house to give us a moving quote. Seemed like a very nice guy but be warned looks can be deceiving!! Yesed us on every question we asked... The Day of the move arrived. The moving truck showed up 15 minutes late. Overall we thought the actual movers were nice guys but did not feel that they handled our belongings with care. We were told not to worry about tv's and large pictures they would be wrapped - they just put plastic wrap no blankets. When the truck was loaded and on the way the owner called screaming and swearing, extremely condescending and rude. Told me I needed to pay more $$ or he would have the guys dump my belongings off of the truck. He was a complete A-Hole over something we had asked when doing walk through and he said "Not A Problem" We found Charlie to be rude, he threatened me yet was not man enough to speak with my husband, conned us out of money and our items were not handled with care. When we found we couldn't quite get a vanity up our narrow stairway, we realized we would have to get it hoisted through the second story window, like we had done with a sofa many years ago. Let me start by saying the movers were nice guys BUT THE OWNER is a condescending jerk, I was not at house 1 when they were loading, my BF was, he didn't seem to have a problem and got yesed to death, but it was an entirely different situation when the showed up at the new house. From the time they pulled in ( who I thought was an employee) the owner was extremely rude and didn't bother to even introduce him self. I had to run out, so my daughter was here to tell them where things were going (even though my BF already told them) and when I came back mid unload, I go to witness them drop my tanning bed, it just got worse, and then I was told by my daughter how rude he was to her when I was gone. Apparently this "man" has a problem with woman telling him what to do, but he decided to open a moving company where us woman are paying him to do a job.... So now I have things all over my house, and I was so over his shit attitude I just wanted him off my property, so I am left to move things dropped wherever, not organized, probably broken and handed him a $3,100 check. Great experience from beginning to end. I price-shopped, and inquired with a bunch of different moving companies before selecting them. For what we were looking for, (a small bedroom move), C&C was great for the job. Charlie (owner) was incredibly responsive... got back to me right away with an estimate, and had answers to all of my stupid questions leading up to the move. Unfortunately they did arrive 30 minutes late, but I'm not going to dock them a point for this. He was apologetic and responded quickly when I called to inquire of his whereabouts. The only other odd fact was that they accept cash only. No check, no credit card. This review is a year overdue! Charlie is amazing. First off he was very responsive to my voice mail and was able to help me out the next day, and when I needed him again a week later he was also very accommodating. I needed to get out of an apartment that turned dumpy on me, leaking ceilings, drains backing up, and stuck in the 1970's style wise. I was feeling pretty helpless and Charlie was there for me and took away a lot of stress and anxiety I was experiencing. The management people were total jerks and my situation in dealing with them was like no other professional relationship I ever encountered. Not only was Charlie and team on time, they were professional and took exceptional care of my belongings, even wrapping my antique furniture. They moved swiftly and the price was reasonable. I have used other companies with five star help ratings but these guys are by far the best! The owner Charlie is very easy to get in touch with, he answers all phone calls and emails back right away. His workers are very polite and professional and handle all of your items with care. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. I used this company to move two pieces of furniture that I purchased on craigslist, both pieces were extremely large and heavy. These guys did an amazing job! They completed a one bedroom move from a second floor up to a third floor in under 3 hours. The homes were one town apart, but both were old buildings with narrow old staircases. They were all friendly and professional. This is my fifteenth move and I know good movers from bad ones by now. C & C Moves is wonderful! My husband and I had a 16 foot POD to unload and we decided last minute that we didn't have the energy to unload it ourselves. We called C & C and within an hour, two friendly guys showed up at our house (even though they originally had the day off) and unloaded the entire 16 foot POD in an hour and a half! There's literally nothing bad to say about these guys. I underestimated the amount of boxes I had (it's really hard to guess!) and it was absolutely no problem. They called to give us time updates, went to our storage unit first to pack that up and then on to our apartment. It took just about four hours and all four guys were super nice and helpful. I contacted Charles from C&C moves for a quote for my move on the recommendation of my brother who had used them 2 times in 2017. After emailing from the link on their website Charles immediately responded and it was 8:30 PM after they were closed. Giving him a description of what I needed moved, he gave me a quote of 3-4 hours. I had asked him a few days before the move if they could also take a bedroom set, couch and couple other things to another location in the same town. He responded with "not a problem". Had a crew of 3 guys they showed up on time, they were friendly,professional,courteous and careful of our belongings. Loaded up went to the first destination out everything where we desired, loaded up for the second part of the move and soon after completed. They cancelled on us the day of! That's all you need to know. Their truck/movers had been pulled over on the way to our house and were not going to be allowed to continue driving due to some issue regarding rental trucks being used for moves that go out of state. Unfortunately that left us without movers or a truck the day of our planned move. Not a big deal because we were just moving stuff out of storage, but most people hiring a moving company don't have this kind of flexibility. They mostly have great ratings here on Yelp which is why we went with them. So maybe this was a freak incident. But I won't be going to C&C Moves again. read more

Would be nice to have the same experience as others but sorry, not the case. We are renovating the house. Furniture has to be moved from the house to the storage pod in the driveway. We need approximately 2 hours for 4 separate occasions. We got a quote from CC. We did our first move then we discovered it was cash upon completion. When it was time to schedule the next move we called Charlie and the price rose by $40. When we sent the quote back to Charlie he said the quote only applied to the first day, which is clearly not the case. I'm not a frequent Yelper, but wanted to make sure to recognize how great these guys are. I had never used movers before since I always lived with roommates, but now had a one bedroom apartment to move. Charlie got back to me within 24 hours of my estimate request and was very flexible with dates. He also was great at communicating before the move and offered very fair and reasonable prices/options for truck sizes. Since I had never used movers before I literally had no idea what I would need, and he was really helpful in figuring out the process. Also always responded quickly when I contacted him. The movers arrived on time, were very friendly and professional, and did a fantastic job. They also packed things I hadn't gotten to yet (wrapped mirrors and my tv) quickly and efficiently. I had a winding nightmare of a staircase and they had my couch out in half the time Jordan's took to deliver it. They had me out of my old place and into my new one in two hrs. Everything intact, no damage and they made sure everything went in the right place. After U-hauling my stuff for years this was the best decision I have ever made. I highly recommend them! read more
