C&C Moves - Here's the hole they put in my wall & ceiling costing me $350 to repair - Movers Near Me - Beverly, Massachusetts

Seemed very nice in the phone. We were looking to have two separate moves going to one residence. The move from MA was an onsite quote. The one from NH was a guesstimate over the phone. I was told if I wanted an onsite quote I would have to pay travel time of 2 hours at I think $120 an hour. Strike #1. The CASH ONLY on both of the quotes was the huge red flag and not a company I would ever do business with. You have ZERO recourse if something goes wrong and cash is the form of payment. Strike #2. Also, who would feel comfortable walking around with $2000+ in cash? Nuts! Lots of movers who take credit cards and have decent ratings. Too bad because they seemed very nice. read more

C&C Moves - Movers Near Me - Beverly, Massachusetts

I hired C&C for a small move in Salem and had an excellent experience. Curtis was very responsive with scheduling and on the day of the move. Him and his guys showed up on time and worked quickly and efficiently. They asked where I would like each box to go, which was extremely helpful at 7months pregnant. They were responsibly priced and I will most likely hire them for my next move. read more

I called the owner(s) several times telling them, expressing my faults about your moving company first of all hey ruined my furniture. The employees stole my golden dipped baseball cards and theg whole big bag full of vintage baseball cards. They also broke some of my furniture, and they didn't even assemble my bed. Also they broke my men's dresser and left half of my stuff still in my last place. They stole from me and they broke my furniture they didn't complete the job. I would estimate I paid them over $1,600. The original estimate was $500! I'm a 58 year old disabled woman. ON TOP OF IT ON MY FATHER'S DEATH BED RECOMMENDED ME TO USE C+C MOVES AND CURTIS MATTHEW SAID TO ME I OWE HIM 800 HUNDRED MORE DOLLARS. FOR A JOB THAT WAS NEVER COMPLETED read more

Stay Away!! One of the owners, Charlie, came out to our house to give us a moving quote. Seemed like a very nice guy but be warned looks can be deceiving!! Yesed us on every question we asked... The Day of the move arrived. The moving truck showed up 15 minutes late. Overall we thought the actual movers were nice guys but did not feel that they handled our belongings with care. We were told not to worry about tv's and large pictures they would be wrapped - they just put plastic wrap no blankets. When the truck was loaded and on the way the owner called screaming and swearing, extremely condescending and rude. Told me I needed to pay more $$ or he would have the guys dump my belongings off of the truck. He was a complete A-Hole over something we had asked when doing walk through and he said "Not A Problem" We found Charlie to be rude, he threatened me yet was not man enough to speak with my husband, conned us out of money and our items were not handled with care. One item was lost, another damaged. If you value your belongings stay away from Charlie with C&C Movers!! Worst ever!! F- read more

Moving is terrible - C&C makes it almost a breeze. If I could give these guys more stars, I would- they were just that fantastic. I used C&C to help move my 78 year old old mom from a three room apartment into a 2 room one in senior housing. My mom is a pack rat with 78 years of life experience packed into her place and these guys handled it fast, well, and with grace. - Here are some of the ways C&C blew me away: First, the communication from C&C was always prompt and soothing, from my first email requesting a quote, to another email about changing the move date (to AUGUST 1st, no less!), and finally a semi-panicked email two days before about how much stuff there was. To each email, C&C responded that they could do it and everything was all set. Next, the move out. The guys were incredibly friendly while projecting total confidence - which was completely warranted. Each guy treated my frazzled mom like a queen, genuinely listening to her tales about this piece of furniture or that picture, all while keeping everything moving. They assured her that they would take good care of everything and they absolutely did. All while moving incredibly fast and organizing a very disorganized pile of stuff. Then, the move in. How they got my mom's 60 x 80 headboard into her new place, I will never know but I think it may have been magic (they also disassembled and reassembled the bed super-quick). They got everything in, moved stuff around, and handled a nosy neighbor graciously and effectively. Finally, the price. They charged exactly what they estimated, even though I think we went a little over time. Not only that, the estimate was significantly lower than other fancy-pants places that could not possibly have been more reliable, careful, fast, and friendly. I cannot recommend them highly enough, they were insanely awesome. read more

These guys are the best! They had such a positive attitude, they made moving feel relaxing instead of overwhelming. Aside from being jovial, they were extremely prompt and and efficient, the move went very fast and therefor very cost efficient. read more

When we found we couldn't quite get a vanity up our narrow stairway, we realized we would have to get it hoisted through the second story window, like we had done with a sofa many years ago. Contacted C&C and they got right back to me and said they could do it in 3 days. Communication was excellent- they kept me apprised of their schedule and were right on time. Price was very fair for work involved (crew of 3). Excellent customer service. read more

Let me start by saying the movers were nice guys BUT THE OWNER is a condescending jerk, I was not at house 1 when they were loading, my BF was, he didn't seem to have a problem and got yesed to death, but it was an entirely different situation when the showed up at the new house. From the time they pulled in ( who I thought was an employee) the owner was extremely rude and didn't bother to even introduce him self. I had to run out, so my daughter was here to tell them where things were going (even though my BF already told them) and when I came back mid unload, I go to witness them drop my tanning bed, it just got worse, and then I was told by my daughter how rude he was to her when I was gone. Apparently this "man" has a problem with woman telling him what to do, but he decided to open a moving company where us woman are paying him to do a job.... So now I have things all over my house, and I was so over his shit attitude I just wanted him off my property, so I am left to move things dropped wherever, not organized, probably broken and handed him a $3,100 check. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU DON'T VALUE YOUR THINGS. read more

Great experience from beginning to end. I price-shopped, and inquired with a bunch of different moving companies before selecting them. For what we were looking for, (a small bedroom move), C&C was great for the job. Charlie (owner) was incredibly responsive... got back to me right away with an estimate, and had answers to all of my stupid questions leading up to the move. Unfortunately they did arrive 30 minutes late, but I'm not going to dock them a point for this. He was apologetic and responded quickly when I called to inquire of his whereabouts. The only other odd fact was that they accept cash only. No check, no credit card. They completed the job in a reasonable amount of time, were understanding and accommodating with our needs and requests. We would use them again in the future. read more

This review is a year overdue! Charlie is amazing. First off he was very responsive to my voice mail and was able to help me out the next day, and when I needed him again a week later he was also very accommodating. I needed to get out of an apartment that turned dumpy on me, leaking ceilings, drains backing up, and stuck in the 1970's style wise. I was feeling pretty helpless and Charlie was there for me and took away a lot of stress and anxiety I was experiencing. The management people were total jerks and my situation in dealing with them was like no other professional relationship I ever encountered. Not only was Charlie and team on time, they were professional and took exceptional care of my belongings, even wrapping my antique furniture. They moved swiftly and the price was reasonable. I now need to get a houseful of stuff from Cape Ann to my new home in Maine and I'm planning to call Charlie again for an estimate. read more

I have used movers about a half dozen times and I have always used yelp to try and find the best company to book. I have used other companies with five star help ratings but these guys are by far the best! The owner Charlie is very easy to get in touch with, he answers all phone calls and emails back right away. His workers are very polite and professional and handle all of your items with care. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. I used this company to move two pieces of furniture that I purchased on craigslist, both pieces were extremely large and heavy. Charlie was kind enough to meet us at the original location and make sure we were satisfied with everything. The movers transported and assembled both pieces of furniture without causing a single scratch. I was very pleased with this company and will absolutely be using them in the future. read more

We reached out to C&C Movers to inquire about my sister moving from Beverly to Gloucester. The owner Charlie reached back out very promptly and was super helpful - he was able to get us booked on our ideal date, and their price was about half the cost of other companies we reached out to. Day-of they were fantastic - both apartments had a ton of stairs and were not easy to move items in and out of, but the movers were so helpful, positive and kind the entire time. We would highly recommend and would use them again! read more

I had hired movers and they stood me up - was panicking, needed to get everything moved that day, and had no idea who to call. Went online and fortune must have been smiling on me that morning. I called CC movers, spoke to Charlie, explained my predicament. He immediately sprang into action and before I knew it, he had a 26 ft/ truck and four experienced movers at my place. They were courteous, professional, worked quickly and efficiently, and they diffused a hugely stressful situation for me. Charlie had quoted me a price that morning and at the end of the day, he came in very close to that number and honored his quote. when it's time for me to move again, there's no question about who I'm going to hire! Reasons to hire C&C Moves: 1. professional 2. experienced 3. efficient 4. careful 5. excellent communication 6. accomodating and flexible to meet client needs 7. honest.. sincere...reliable Charlie and his crew are a great group of guys who take care of their customers and make everything go smoothly. read more

I cannot say enough about C&C....they moved me some 2 yrs. ago, and very satisfied, great ppl. Moving my furniture! Couldn't ask for better!

Owner was super helpful on the phone and didn't try to convince me to get services I didn't need as other movers I had gotten estimates from did. The moving crew called to confirm that morning, then showed up when they said they would--right on time! All 3 movers were polite and spoke English. They moved all of my items carefully for a fair price. I'll always refer these guys. read more

These guys did an amazing job! They completed a one bedroom move from a second floor up to a third floor in under 3 hours. The homes were one town apart, but both were old buildings with narrow old staircases. They were all friendly and professional. This is my fifteenth move and I know good movers from bad ones by now. I highly recommend this company! read more

C & C movers helped me with a move recently. They were punctual, fast and careful. They maintained their masks and distancing. Eddie and Drew were very pleasant, kind young men. Absolutely a five star company (at least) They came HIGHLY recommended from Life Storeage in Beverly - they should know. They see a lot of people moving in and out of Storeage facilities, and they feel that they are good and reliable. Lois Snyder read more

I had what I thought would be an easy move from Salem to Marblehead...which of course got complicated with one particular large dresser on the second floor that seemed to have grown since it was originally placed there. The team from C & C took were extremely conscientious and somehow managed to navigate the extremely heavy piece down the stairs without a scratch! Matt, Dan, and Brad were outstanding during the entire move. They arrived right on time, worked hard and professionally, and had a great attitude. Cannot have been more pleased. read more

Charlie, Just want to say the move today from Wenham to Salem was perfect ! The guys went out of there way to make it easy and they all had such a great way of making moving day easy. I would highly recommend C and C movers. They were courteous, prompt, very careful with our furniture and boxes. They broke down beds and reassembled them, as well as moving other furniture and boxes. They were very fast and professional despite moving in 90+ degree weather. The price was reasonable and communication with the owner was easy. read more

C & C Moves is wonderful! My husband and I had a 16 foot POD to unload and we decided last minute that we didn't have the energy to unload it ourselves. We called C & C and within an hour, two friendly guys showed up at our house (even though they originally had the day off) and unloaded the entire 16 foot POD in an hour and a half! The guys were efficient and careful and I was impressed with their positive attitudes. The rate we paid was also super reasonable. read more

Charlie and his team helped my aunt move this past week and they were excellent! The move was an absolute success and my family and I have nothing but great things to say about the team and company. Charlie was readily available by phone and email, and he was so accommodating on such a short notice. The move went off without any problems, and his team really worked to get everything completed in timely yet careful fashion, which was great because there was quite a bit of stuff to be moved. As far as pricing goes, Charlie gave us a great estimate. All in all, my family and I were extremely happy with the service provided and we are happy to recommend C&C Moves to anyone! read more

I never knew you could have a stress-free move until I hired C and C no movers. The guys were efficient, professional and very careful with both the furniture and the walls! There's literally nothing bad to say about these guys. I underestimated the amount of boxes I had (it's really hard to guess!) and it was absolutely no problem. They called to give us time updates, went to our storage unit first to pack that up and then on to our apartment. It took just about four hours and all four guys were super nice and helpful. They really did want to make sure that they put our boxes and furniture exactly where we wanted it. They moved fast and efficiently....highly recommend! Thanks, Charlie! read more

We used C & C Moves for a local move a few blocks away. They showed up on time, were polite, efficient and finished ahead of schedule. We have used the same movers (based out of Boston) for our prior 3 moves within the city...and were hesitant to try a new company. C & C did not disappoint and made a stressful day so much more enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone on the N. Shore. read more

I can't say enough about this company and crew. The entire process was easy and transparent. The crew was professional, personable and funny - making the entire move less stressful. The move was efficient but I never felt like the crew was being careless with our stuff. I would highly recommend to anyone moving. read more

I contacted Charles from C&C moves for a quote for my move on the recommendation of my brother who had used them 2 times in 2017. After emailing from the link on their website Charles immediately responded and it was 8:30 PM after they were closed. Giving him a description of what I needed moved, he gave me a quote of 3-4 hours. I had asked him a few days before the move if they could also take a bedroom set, couch and couple other things to another location in the same town. He responded with "not a problem". Had a crew of 3 guys they showed up on time, they were friendly, professional, courteous and careful of our belongings. Loaded up went to the first destination out everything where we desired, loaded up for the second part of the move and soon after completed. I would definitely used again and definitely recommend to anyone looking for a moving company. Oh the price, cheapest around by far with service of the big names. And came under the quoted time! read more

Showed up on time and helped make our move painless. Moving is never fun but the guys worked hard to get us settled into our new space.

We used C&C to move some awkward, heavy stuff within our house during a remodel. Communications with Charlie, the owner, were outstanding: clear, to the point, always available, even after hours. The crew arrived right on time and worked non-stop till the job was done, and it was done just right. The guys did a final run-through and noticed a desk that they wondered about needing moving. It did, and we wouldn't have noticed had they not pointed it out. Friendly, professional, meticulous guys. We were delighted with C&C and will use them again. read more

Would be nice to have the same experience as others but sorry, not the case. We are renovating the house. Furniture has to be moved from the house to the storage pod in the driveway. We need approximately 2 hours for 4 separate occasions. We got a quote from CC. We did our first move then we discovered it was cash upon completion. When it was time to schedule the next move we called Charlie and the price rose by $40. When we sent the quote back to Charlie he said the quote only applied to the first day, which is clearly not the case. When we pushed back he offered to do the work for the quoted price......sorry, too late read more

Broke a ton of my stuff. Dishes, furniture, and a tv. Would not recommend. Also took their time out to lunch on a hourly rate. Was also quoted one price and then given a higher price later. And I was told I had cheap furniture. Never again will I use them and I won't be recommending them. They definitely ripped me off. read more

I'm not a frequent Yelper, but wanted to make sure to recognize how great these guys are. I had never used movers before since I always lived with roommates, but now had a one bedroom apartment to move. Charlie got back to me within 24 hours of my estimate request and was very flexible with dates. He also was great at communicating before the move and offered very fair and reasonable prices/options for truck sizes. Since I had never used movers before I literally had no idea what I would need, and he was really helpful in figuring out the process. Also always responded quickly when I contacted him. The movers arrived on time, were very friendly and professional, and did a fantastic job. They also packed things I hadn't gotten to yet (wrapped mirrors and my tv) quickly and efficiently. I had a winding nightmare of a staircase and they had my couch out in half the time Jordan's took to deliver it. They had me out of my old place and into my new one in two hrs. Everything intact, no damage and they made sure everything went in the right place. After U-hauling my stuff for years this was the best decision I have ever made. I highly recommend them! read more
