Turns out this restaurant has been open for a month. The place has been renovated as best as they could. It is a family owned business. The chicken meals costs a bit more than its predecessor. It costed $10 and change for a 3 piece meal. We stopped by when the restaurant just opened so we were able to snack on some really freshly fried chicken. The chicken was perfectly cooked - moist and juicy meat underneath a layer of thin and crispy skin. The batter is light unlike KFC's version. Service was good that even the cook came out to inform us the food would arrive shortly. Only complaint is that I missed the old prices of King's Chicken.

Really enjoy jorittos with my meal which is $2 extra but why not indulge. You cal also get fried chicken and other burgers but grilled chicken with the sauce is the best. We ordered a ton of food. I'm a sucker for the cheeseballs but it is definitely an acquired taste. It is almost essentially just cheese in a pastry ball. We tried the rose rice cakes. They weren't overwhelming spicy, but there was still a nice kick of spice in it. The highlight of the chicken for me was definitely the pa dak. All of them were very delicious overall and left my friends satisfied. All in all, I can't complain about the food here. It provides exactly what you want in terms of Korean fries chicken.

We got the Mash-up Bowl, which is mashed potatoes topped with popcorn chicken and crispy onion. I thought that the mashed potatoes were okay (it tasted like instant mashed potatoes) and the popcorn chicken was mostly breading. I'm not a big fan of fast food places so that does affect my rating!

The cashier was friendly. Tables were not as clean as you had hope for to think it was empty. I was there at 12 noon to grab lunch. Pricing was reasonable for what you get. Chicken was juicy. Fries were not as good as it almost looked like I had 10 pieces in the bag. Their coleslaw I am not a fan of because I could taste radish in it. Pepsi zero was not even cold.

I'd say the only thing holding it back from a 5/5 is that the authentic Cajun spice just wasn't the same as back home but for the person who hasn't had the original this may be a 5/5. We placed our order of a Batter's box ($22.99) and were told only dark meat was available at 8 pm. That did not concern us and we agreed to all dark meat. Food was served after a short wait. My only small complaint was the spicy chicken. I did not realize it was spicy powder sprinkled over the chicken. I also found the spicy chicken to be a tad on the saltier side. I have a high salt tolerance and I found it salty. Instead, I enjoyed their signature chicken more and so did the rest of my family. There was a generous amount of fries. Unfortunately, they were made in advance and were not crispy or pipping hot. The biscuits were soft, fluffy and buttery. Lastly, the gravy tasted okay. Overall, we did enjoy our meal. It has been a long time since I have eaten from this restaurant. I plan to come back sooner as we did enjoy their signature fried chicken.
