We had been searching for months and months for a replacement for a very old light fixture and thanks to Yelp we found Majestic Lighting! As soon as we placed the light fixture on the counter, the man behind the desk calmly said, "we have it". It was a HUGE relief for us!! I called the store asking for recommendations on what lighting should I use in my house. Leonard, the associate who helped me, suggested LED lights since it's the most energy efficient and long lasting. He explained that they carry many types of lights - regular incandescent, CFL and LED, both for indoor and outdoor. The store has recess can lights, 4" and 6", strip lights as well as bathroom fans with lights. Another great thing is you can get a lower price depending on how many you buy. I can't say enough about Majestic Lighting. Every time I called they were there to help and provide everything and anything we needed at a moments notice. We did everything over the phone since I knew what we wanted (which made it easier for us since we live about an hour drive away). Danyel (the owner) helped us through everything! We ordered about 100 recessed lights for the interior of the house and 20 or so scones for the exterior of the house. I would post some pictures though they won't be installed for another month of two. You won't be sorry when you call them as they have the best prices around and they can get any light you need - I didn't think they could, but talking to Danyel, he got us what we wanted VERY easily. I called the store to inquire about some lighting needs I have for my home, both indoors and out. The sales associate was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was courteous and took his time in answering all my questions for my various projects. They offer all kinds of LED lights for both indoor and out, including LED string lights for my patio. The only downside is the sales associate said they do not offer solar string lights or any solar outdoor lighting. Hopefully they will in the future. They do however; have strip lights which are perfect for our living room. For my bathroom, they have recessed can lights, dimmers and even bathroom fans, Panasonic or Airzone. This is quite convenient to be able to get everything in one place. Their hours are 6:30am-5pm Mon-Thurs and 6:30am -4PM on Fridays. No weekend hours, this is not so convenient. Majestic Lighting is a great place to buy lighting supplies. They offer all the lighting supplies, wires etc., for homeowners and new constructions. We are going to buy these for our indoor remodeling projects. As for the outside lighting, I prefer solar lighting. I really like to reduce using electricity when at all possible. read more

The staff at Majestic Lighting in Gardena are very helpful and knowledgeable about the products that they carry. The store carries a wide variety of lighting products for both indoor and outdoor applications. The prices are very affordable and the selection is outstanding. They cater to many commercial companies in the area, but are also open to the general public. I called to ask about upgrading my current lighting from a combination of compact fluorescent lighting and incandescent lighting to LED lighting. The gentleman that I spoke with on the phone explained that while LED lights are a bit more expensive than other lights, they last much longer (as much as 5 times longer than compact fluorescent and 50 times longer than incandescent). In addition, he mentioned that LED lights generate very little heat which can help lower the cost of air conditioning versus using incandescent lights. He explained that LED lights are 100% compatible with all of the existing light sockets in the home, and that while the upfront investment in converting to LED might seem high, in the long run energy savings and not having to replace your lighting as often would save money over time. My experience at the store was outstanding, and I can highly recommend you give them a try. read more

It's all about helping out the local guys. I'm all for it. Course they gotta be cool peeps, their prices aren't too over the top, and the biggest thing: they don't take their customers for granted. I had some 4" LED recessed lighting to purchase, about 10 to be exact. If you don't know, LEDs are awesome. They last a long time, don't overheat, blast light instantly, and most importantly drain minimal energy which in turns lower your bills and helps mother earth. Flip side to all of this is that they aren't exactly cheap. My electrician suggested that I go check out Majestic Lighting since he heard me gripe nonstop about how Home Depot was ripping me a new one with these LED lights I needed. The HD light that I purchased was nearly $40 for the entire kit. Simple math 40 x 10 = $400 before taxes! At that point, looking for other options was highly considered. I randomly stopped at Majestic Lighting one day and met Danyel. He so happen to be the guy who owns the shop. We chatted for a bit, I told him what I was looking for, the quantity, the style of the housing, the size, the exact color (day light, bright white, & etc). I was in luck because he went to the back and brought out a model that was exactly what I was looking for. He did have displays on hand behind the counter. Note, don't mind his shop dog. He won't attack unless told to, jk. Danyel said I could purchase one, take it home, and try it out. If I didn't like it, just bring it back. If I liked it, he'll have 9 more ready for me. Since I was purchasing a good amount, he said he would give me a better deal too. Before I left, he even suggested that I try checking out the lights at Costco. What small shop owner does that? In return, I told him if your light works like a charm, I'll be back for the rest and not even bother with Costco. That's how impressed I was with his customer service and pricing. To keep this review from getting out of hand, I returned the following day around the same time and met up with Danyel again. He came out with a box of the same LEDs I needed. We shook hands and was appreciative of each other's business. Simple as that. I highly recommend Majestic Lighting even if you just want to price check or see what kind of stuff and different styles they carry. Anyone looking for recessed lightings in particular know that there are million designs out there so having different vendors at your disposal won't hurt. Also, don't expect a full blown, multiple aisle type shop waiting for you here. They're more of a simple store who seem to do a lot of business with more electricians than home owners. The displays out front aren't plentiful, but if you have any questions or want to know what items they have in stock, they will most likely do their best to accommodate. It'll help if you go in knowing a little bit of what exactly you're looking for rather than going to just get an exercise and window shop like you would do at a giant retail store. I usually don't like doing multiple reviews on one place. But this is a special exception, and I just had to share.....So once again I have found my way back to Majestic, but with very little funds to spend and in desperate need of a bathroom fan, I knew this was the place to go. They helped me once before and this time having little time and almost no funds, and in complete desperation to get it finished before the In laws (aka the critics) came for their annual visit. I returned here in hopes of their superior service. And once again they went out of their way to help me complete this task. I purchased the CFM which included the fan a light ,even a humidity sensor too. Which was perfect I was wanting a little extra light in the bathroom to compliment my mirrors but didn't have it in the budget. But Majestic did it again! And it was even more affordable than the fixtures my sister in law so graciously emailed. (She thought her find would be up to Mother in laws standards) ummm. Hello my house....lol ...So I purchased my bathroom needs from Majestic, came home ,installed it ....the in laws came ......not to mention she just loved how after her shower the mirrors weren't all fogged up! She even gave me a compliment! Then she asked where I purchased the lights and fan , she wanted to get the same ones for her home in Colorado. And when she heard it was one piece and the price she wanted me to take her there to see for herself. My electrician recommended Majestic Lighting when I mentioned that I was trying to get my home more energy efficient. I had a slight understanding of ways this could be achieved, but was really ignorant about the nuances of lights, wattages and ambient colors. I called Majestic and spoke with Bill. He was amazing ! He gave me a great explanation of LED lights for use inside and and outside of my home. He was so patient and informative, remember I'm a girl and my brain isn't totally wired for this type of info ! I am so excited to know that there are LED fixtures that can easily be installed where my "outdated" can lights are, and totally relieved to be able to use dimmers on them as well. My only disappointment is that I can't replace my bathroom fan/light with an LED unit. I'm assuming that will be available in the future. I must admit I was a bit apprehensive to get this information over the phone, I didn't want to sound too dumb ... I shouldn't have worried !!! Called today and spoke with a representative (Danny) about getting some projects done around my house. I asked him about some LED and strip lighting for my backyard as well fixing some recessed lighting in the kitchen and den. Then it dawned on me that I should look at my "honey-do" list that I know I'm way behind on and see what else I could tackle. Next up was replacing that old bathroom fan that's noisy. Danny said they had numerous types from Airzone and Panasonic that are much quieter than my old one (10 years old I think). Danny listened to my not-so-expert descriptions of what I was looking for and offered some great advice. It was a good back-n-forth conversation that made it clear he was listening to me. He was nice, asked various questions to get a sense of what I was looking for and offered to gather up some items that might fit the bill for what I needed and have them ready to look at in their shop. Majestic Lighting is a great store with a variety of indoor and outdoor lighting options including LED flood lights, LED strip lights, strip lights, and LED Recess can lights. They make renovations so simple with a wide selection of lighting supplies. I was a little surprised to find that they had so many choices even for bathroom lighting fixtures. I mean who sells bathroom fans? and dimmers? I thought my home renovation would be simple but this has my mind racing. Even though the phones were ringing in the background, Bill was patient, courteous and attentive to my inquiries. I'm a novice in lighting supply terminology so I didn't exactly know the specific terms to use but Bill asked the right questions so he could figure out what I meant and confirm those products were in stock. Bill answered my many questions and even suggested that I come in so that he could show me the products in person.
