Customer Service doesn't exist here. Not sure if it's the owners or staff but not friendly and not helpful. Extremely rude ALL the time. It's a small location. I have gone on multiple occasions for different reasons. I went yesterday to get some keys made. I misplaced the original keys and thought maybe I left them at the location. I was already 30 miles away so I called instead of driving back in order to inquire if I accidentally left the keys there. The person that answered the phone said, he didn't know and I should drive back to ask the person who helped me in store. Again it's not a huge store like Home Depot. So not sure why it wouldn't occur to this individual that im calling so he could ask that person for me. I had to ask him, to please ask for me. I was left on hold for a long time until someone else came to the phone. read more

Today I had to purchase a bike lock which was located right in front by the cashier and the guy who works the counter has been there for decades. The place is very old school in atmosphere and delivery of goods and they have just about anything you need for your home, office or apartment. Whether a contractor, builder or weekend warrior home improvement specialist, they have just about any tool, part, equipment or item your heart desires. They have a huge lot so you don't need to worry about parking. Just south of STAPLES on the same side of street, Lincoln Hardware is reasonably priced and convenient for locals. RECOMMEND! read more

Twice I'd come in to replace screws and bolts i needed to affix the original round seat I'd recovered to a wrought iron chair. the original screws were too short to go completely through the holes on the chair's steel strap supports. Then the paper bag filled with the well pondered new parts got lost and the whole project went on hold for months until today. Ready for another 30 min of testing and trying I was approached by a new face. REMEMBER THIS NAME: JOSÉ. Within seconds, HE KNEW the store carried the EXACT matching the original screw I'd brought with me but slightly longer.... too long unfortunately. But JOSE said "wait! I know!" and returned with a PERFECT alternative. i must praise the depth of his agility to think through the issue and knowledge and familiarity of the stock, let me not miss his grace, and enthusiasm and joy in the resulting PERFECT solution. Today, I visited Lincoln Hardware to have a car key duplicated. Having been a customer there intermittently for over 30 years, I can confidently say that today's experience was exceptional. After losing my keys, I initially attempted to have a replacement made at Home Depot, but they were unable to assist due to the key being too thin and lacking a groove. The staff at Home Depot recommended I go to Lincoln Hardware, which I promptly did. I was impressed by their willingness to attempt the key duplication. Thankfully, they succeeded in making the key, which saved me from incurring significant costs. I truly appreciated their effort and the successful outcome. The level of customer service I received was outstanding. Eh. I was in a daze and got ripped off. Partly my fault. I could've spent the 10 seconds necessary to look up the item I was purchasing on Amazon to price compare, which would have clued me into the fact that Lincoln Hardware was charging almost three times the price. It is always wonderful to still have an "old fashioned" type hardware store in your neighborhood. We have lost the two others nearby, but Lincoln Hardware continues to service it's customers with helpful knowledge, and they often sell single fasteners and such when you only need one or two, instead of having to buy a box of thirty like what Home Depot makes you do. All Lincoln Hardware needs is a wavy 3 inch slatted oak floor and you would have a duplicate of the old New England hardware stores of the 1950's. read more

Ever since Busy Bee on Santa Monica Boulevard close Lincoln Hardware has been my my favorite place to go for home maintenance and improvement projects. I'm writing this review today and giving them five stars because I went into the store with bad pictures of plumbing fixtures and two of the guys there instinctively knew what I needed even though I should have brought the fixtures in rather than the photos. Customers Beware!!!! The staff here are super rude and obnoxious. Upon my first purchase here I specifically asked two separate sales associates about a refund before I purchase. Both of them replied not a problem with a receipt. When I came back a week later and needed to return the white older gentleman at the front told me there will be a 15% restocking fee. I simply stated to him upon my purchase that they have told me there was no restocking fee. Next time I will just go to Home Depot. I do not need the attitude from some little Shiesty hardware store. And by the way. Their place is marked up an extra 50% on all of their items. Why should we be paying more for the same exact products. read more

He went in for an in- line electrical connector...... Came out with, silver polish, steel wool pads, a new outside door mat, A 6 volt battery, a bag of bungee cords, and a small, shallow pan...
