Then the paper bag filled with the well pondered new parts got lost and the whole project went on hold for months until today. Within seconds, HE KNEW the store carried the EXACT matching the original screw I'd brought with me but slightly longer.... too long unfortunately. But JOSE said "wait! She mixed a custom color for me and not only was she knowledgeable and made my selection quickly, she was thorough, helped me land on the appropriate finish I needed, and was so thoughtful & friendly throughout. That was NOT the experience at this Marina Del Rey location. We came in with a real headache of an AC unit situation -- the kind where you're not even sure where to begin. Camilo, the Assistant Manager, didn't just help us. He owned the entire experience from the moment he introduced himself. Knowledgeable, composed, solution-focused, and genuinely warm -- he walked us through everything step by step until every concern was fully resolved. No attitude. No brush-off. No "let me find someone else to help you." Just one incredibly capable person who clearly takes pride in what he does and the customers he serves. This location is clean, well-stocked, and the team reflects good leadership. But Camilo is the reason I'm on Yelp right now typing this out. He deserves to be recognized far beyond this store. The gardening staff are always so very helpful, professional, and thorough in their advice. One employee was helpful in keeping one of my plants from dying.
