The rumors are true! Their smoothies are better than Erewhon. When it gets really busy, they seem to take orders in batches and then make those orders before taking more orders. Yes the wait is loooong (be patient and keep the good vibes here pristine). No, these smoothies are not expensive, their price is 100% reasonable for the ingredients. These smoothies are so nutrient dense it is like having a meal. Real whole ingredients. We had birthday cake with peanut butter and strawberry fields. 10 out of 10, no notes. These guys were working, incredibly hard to get orders out. And so far, they are doing an amazing job! read more

They've earned the hype. The drinks are so good and with add ons and tip it was still cheaper than erewhon smoothies haha. I got the chocolate smoothie and I really like that they used cinnamon in it, it added a nice flavor! Largest con is going to be the wait time. I was lucky to go when there was no wait to order but it still took 25 minutes to get my drink. It makes sense when you watch how much work goes into each drink. I don't mind waiting, there are plenty of cute shops around to explore while you wait so it doesn't affect my rating. The employees were very kind and I applaud them for their non stop smoothie work. read more

I think this smoothie place is worth the hype for its $13 smoothies due to the huge size, quality of ingredients, and taste! Yes, the only con is the line and wait can be 40+ mins - 1 hr but I would come back if I had a chill day and wanted an organic, quality smoothie that made me feel great. I got their: Strawberry Fields (5/5): This is on their Sweet Organic Smoothies menu and it is a blend of strawberries, banana, vanilla, and dates. You can also choose between almond butter or peanut butter which I chose the latter. The smoothies are filled to the brim and they have the signature blob of the circle smoothie overflow that adds their signature touch. This smoothie has chunks of sweet, chewy dates and you can taste the creamy peanut butter mixed in with the strawberry banana date. Very naturally sweetened. I would come back to try their other smoothies if I had a chill day to explore on the west side. read more

Smoothies here are delicious! We tried the Green Monster and the Date Night Date. Both were really good, but I'd especially recommend the Date Night Date if you want something that isn't overly sweet but still has that nice hint of sweetness without tasting like a green juice. We went early on a weekday, so the wait wasn't bad. However, we've come on weekends before and waited 30+ minutes in line. For it being an early morning visit with fewer customers, the customer service could've been better. We were greeted, but there were no smiles, small talk, recommendations, or even a thank you when we received our order. That said, this is a great spot if you love thick smoothies. It is a bit pricier compared to other smoothie chains, but you do get your money's worth, the cups are overfilled and the ingredients taste fresh and real/no additives. read more

Main Squeeze was actually pretty good, and the prices really weren't bad for the size. They filled the smoothie all the way to the top too, with extra coming out the top too which was honestly awesome. I even took a picture of my stopwatch from the second I ordered to when I got my drink, and it ended up being exactly 35 minutes. (See photos attached) The place is a little cramped inside, but the smoothies are good enough that I didn't really mind! The reviews mentioning the workers looking tired is pretty valid, but they didn't give me a hard time-- so I don't think that's a problem. it's honestly a fun spot to order, walk around with your friends for a bit, and then come back to grab your drink. read more

Stopped in for a smoothie and the line was pretty long. It looked like they were understaffed, so things were moving slowly. When my drink finally came out, it was clearly under-blended. You could see chunks in it, and it definitely wasn't going to go through the straw. I hadn't even left the counter yet. Before touching it, I politely asked if they could blend it again. The staff told me it was already blended and didn't offer to fix it. They were pretty rude about it. It was frustrating because it felt like an easy fix. A quick re-blend would have solved the issue. Great smoothies with a caveat. It might take 45 min to an hour to get a smoothie!! The line can be deceiving. Once there were only two customers in front of me and it took ~40 minutes to get my smoothie. Another time the line was out of the door and it took me ~1 hour to get my drink. The late night date night has been my favorite so far. It's sweet and filling yet icy and refreshing. I don't usually even like dates since they can be overly sweet. The smoothies are the best texture. Thick yet smooth. There isn't much seating. There are only bar style tables inside around the perimeter. But it'll feel cramped since the place is packed with people either in line or waiting for their order. read more

This was good to try once, but I'm not sure that this smoothie is worth the cost and wait in the future. I got the tropical mix smoothie. It was good, but flavor-wise, nothing outstanding. I've had better smoothies that are more tart and flavorful. It is impressively thick, though, which I appreciate. It's also a decent size, but almost $13 is still more than I'd like to pay for a smoothie. I went in the middle of the day in a weekday so it wasn't busy, but it still took a really long time to get my smoothie. I decided to come try Main Squeeze after seeing all the hype around it, and I have to say that I don't think it really lived up to it. On the bright side, there wasn't much of a line since I went on a Thursday early afternoon. Also, the smoothies really are packed to the brim. However, I think the Tropical Mix was a little too sweet and so thick it barely even got up the straw. Also, for $12.75 a smoothie, I expected to be more wowed. Sure, this is great if you want to get a smoothie that's cheaper than an Erewhon smoothie, but otherwise, I'd say there are plenty of other great smoothies and drink places around for a better price! read more

The space is admittedly small inside so I understand that they can't make as many smoothies as they'd like however I still don't think the drinks are good enough for me to willingly want to return and wait 45 minutes for a smoothie. read more

The line both times I made to the smoothie shop was over 30+ minutes. The first time was almost an hour Other than the wait time, the two smoothies: the green monster and strawberry field were great. I really like the green monster a little better because if the texture and how creamy it was. The strawberry filed can get too sweet might even be too sweet for someone. As I was watching the employees making each smoothie, they blend each order separately hence the line. I put really fruits, lots of bananas, with other goodies depend on your order. They really need to improve the wait time or hire more employees with more blender. Those people need a team of at least 5 people, not 3... for the amount of customer they get everyday. I might go back only if it gonna take me only 15 min max for a smoothie. read more

This smoothie place was absolutely amazing and so worth the hype. Small space so it does get pretty packed in here, but the weight is so worth it and I think it's pretty affordable compare compared to other smoothies like Erewhon ahem. It was so nice and thick and I got the strawberry Fields one which was my favorite and it had a little date chunks in it. It was so good. we got the strawberry fields and these definitely rival the hailey bieber ones at Erewhon and for a better deal at $13 instead of $21! the strawberry fields comes with coconut milk, starwberries, banana, almond butter and dates. they have a ton of other options too! the only thing is to be prepared to wait as the lines can get long and each smoothie takes a while to make. not a lot of room inside for sitting / definitely more of a grab and go place. read more

5 stars for the smoothie product - we had the tropical mix and split it between the two of us. Delicious, fresh, super generous portion. 4 stars for the speed...service was friendly, it's just that there was one person making the smoothies and also taking orders so it took us 20 minutes to get our smoothie. Recommendation: 1. Place your order for the smoothie. 2. Walk a couple doors down to Ten Women and shop there among the beautiful artisan items where 100% of the proceeds of what you purchase go to the artist as it's a co-op model 3. Its super smooth and yes they do top it off 2. good flavor but the banana did over power the other flavor that was mix in it 3. Unfortunately, my experience at this smoothie shop was disappointing. The service appeared disorganized, as customers were left waiting without clear guidance on where the line began or when orders were being taken. There was little to no customer acknowledgment or communication from staff, which created confusion. Additionally, the wait time for orders to be called was much longer than expected. As an avid TikTok trend follower, I genuinely enjoy checking out the newest (and revived) hotspots around the area. So while in Santa Monica, I figured Main Squeeze would be the perfect quick smoothie stop. Unfortunately, what should've been a simple grab-and-go experience turned into a nearly 2-hour wait, all for a smoothie that was, at best, completely average. No smoothie is worth losing that much time over. Though going on a Saturday around 3pm may not have been the smartest idea, you would still expect a business this viral and popular to be staffed appropriately. Having only three employees behind the counter for a line stretching out the door felt completely inefficient. What made the experience even more frustrating was how slow the process actually was. It genuinely took around 7 minutes between smoothies being handed out, which gave everyone in line plenty of time to bond over how absurd the wait had become. At one point, customers were openly discussing ways the business could run more efficiently. The long line may look good for social media hype, but the experience itself felt disorganized and unnecessarily drawn out. I'd personally avoid unless you're prepared to sacrifice a large part of your day for a very average smoothie. read more

The wait time was long but that's expected for a viral establishment in the middle of Los Angeles. The workers were really efficient. They didn't speak, stop to use the restroom, or anything! I'll start by saying the Strawberry Fields smoothie and the Green & Lean with avocado added were absolutely delicious. I honestly don't understand the reviews saying the smoothies are "mid" because ours were great. That said, I'm giving this place two stars because the customer service was genuinely awful. I literally made a Yelp account just to leave this review. From the moment we walked in, there was no eye contact, no greeting, no sense of hospitality at all. Instead, there was a tiny loudspeaker blasting into everyone's ears from the counter while customers sat there watching the backs of employees for 30+ minutes. We weren't even able to place our order for about 15 minutes because everything felt completely disorganized and chaotic. The overall energy was uncomfortable. No one smiled, no one seemed happy to be there, and the atmosphere honestly started giving us anxiety to the point where we considered leaving altogether. It almost felt like the staff was annoyed that the business was busy and getting customers. To the owners, you clearly have a product people want, but customer experience matters just as much as the smoothies. If you want to keep the momentum going, I'd strongly recommend bringing in staff who actually seem happy to be there and know how to make customers feel welcomed instead of like an inconvenience. read more

We got the strawberry fields and chocolate thunda. Strawberry fields 2/5 Chocolate Thunda 1.5/5 We showed up with only one person in front of us in line so we thought it was gonna be a quick one. Instead we waited for about 40 mins for an employee to finally take our order. Once they took our order, we waited around 30 mins to get our smoothies. We noticed the party in front and behind us got their smoothies before us. We went to the front and the employee asked what we ordered and the name it was under. 10 mins later our order came out. It looked yummy but when we took a sip we didn't expect to be chewing on our smoothie. It was pretty thick but lowkey a little too thick. Plus it wasn't blended thoroughly. I was really excited to try these iconic Main Squeeze smoothies but the experience was a bit lackluster in my opinion. There's no doubt that these are fresh and delicious smoothies, but the 2 hour wait and disorganized process to get those smoothies slightly overshadows the experience. Customer service is very much lacking, and there are only three people working on a busy weekend day. There's not a warm, inviting vibe you'd expect because of all the chaos of the team trying to catch up with orders. I empathize with how busy it was and maybe this is new for them, but the way they interact with customers is borderline rude. My wife and I went to Main Squeeze and arrived early because, based on the Instagram reels/ TikTok videos and overall hype, we expected it to be packed. Surprisingly, we arrived about 30 minutes early before opening and the place was empty...even after opening, which wasn't even at 7:30am, more like 7:45ish...only one other customer came in. The atmosphere is nice though, it has a cool, modern, slightly hipster vibe that makes the space feel welcoming. The menu is also straightforward and easy to understand, which we appreciated. As for the smoothies, I think the social media hype set our expectations a little too high. They're not bad at all, but they're definitely more on the healthy side rather than super sweet or ultra creamy like some videos make them seem. The texture felt more blended and natural instead of dessert-like. I ordered the Chocolate Thunda, which I'd rate about a 6.5/10. It had a strong almond butter flavor with a subtle bittersweet chocolate taste from the cacao nibs. Based on what I'd seen online, I expected something much more chocolatey and sweet, so it didn't quite match the hype for me. My wife ordered the Late Night Date, which she rated around a 7.5-8/10! She liked it but still expected more given how highly people raved about this place online. They are a little pricey so keep in mind when wanting to try all the smoothie flavors. If you'd like to taste all the smoothie flavors go with friends or family and share. Overall, the smoothies are healthy and decent, but for us the experience felt a bit overhyped compared to what we saw on Instagram. If you're nearby, it's worth trying once, but if you're coming from farther out (like the LA area or further), you might want to consider a closer smoothie spot first. me and my partner were so excited about this place. We drove 35 minutes once we arrived. There was no one waiting in line, we waited approximately ten minutes before anybody even said anything to us until I decided to ask the worker if someone was going take my order she said to please wait. We waited another five minutes, she continued to take our order with attitude and then told us 15 minutes and we ended up waiting for about 25 minutes, there were 3 people working, not one even batted an eye or greeted, they seemed to have hated life itself, disappointed and definitely won't be returning, $32 was not worth it read more

I love the blend of fresh greens and even crunchy bits of chocolate chips too! What a party in my mouth! My friend got their Strawberry Banana, which was a dream. Incredibly smooth to the taste and not overly sweet. This might be my favorite smoothie spot ever for its ingredient-packed menu and kind staff. At Main Squeeze we home make our coconut milk and sprouted almond milk. Our smoothies are blended with the home made base coconut milk, almond milk & we offer the highest grade superfood and supplements to add to your delicious beverage. We also have espresso, acai bowls, house-recipe avocado toast, and secret fudge cookies. Looking for something adventurous? Try our Secret Menu for in-store only special smoothies. Main Squeeze is woman-owned, local Santa Monica smoothie, and coffee shop set on the lively Main Street. We offer high-quality, organic, plant-based smoothies, juices, acai bowls, and coffee. Our products are locally sourced and our straws and cups are earth-friendly. Our focus is on holistic nutrition, gut-health, immune support, and healthy living. Our mission is simple: provide healthy and delicious solutions to busy lifestyles and help Santa Monicans make excellent nutritional choices. We support the public. Aside from serving excellent juices, smoothies, bowls, and coffee, we are proud to feature and sell artwork from local artisans as well as our owner! I asked the very nice employees if it would be possible to receive store credit instead. She was very kind and said she would need to check with the manager. When the manager came over, he initially seemed dismissive and asked what I meant by "too sweet." I calmly explained that it just wasn't to my personal taste and it is very sweet, and I can't touch it. I didn't want a replacement or money back , only store credit. He said OK and left... Shortly after, another staff member approached with a 25% discount coupon for a future visit left it on the table and left. I felt this response was not appropriate, especially since I already discussed this with the Manager. After some discussion between the two owners/managers, they eventually agreed to provide the store credit. In my opinion, this was a straightforward situation that could have been handled more smoothly. As a customer, I made a reasonable request and was not looking for anything beyond a fair resolution. From a management perspective, I believe it's important to listen to customer feedback and resolve concerns without unnecessary friction.

Only later, after double-checking with our waiter, were we told it was not gluten-free. That kind of mistake is serious and easily avoidable with better communication and care.

DO NOT come here!! I didn't know ordering a smoothie meant signing up for a 2 hour hostage situation. By the time my drink finally arrived, I could've gone home, bought fruit, and blended it myself--three times. The staff moved at the speed of melting ice, and the vibe was like nobody cared that people were actually waiting. When the smoothie finally showed up, it wasn't even worth it. If you want a smoothie and don't mind aging a year in the process, this is the place for you. Otherwise, save yourself the pain and go literally anywhere else. If I could put 0 stars I would. Don't let instagram fool you. It's not an "underrated" hidden gem. Super hot in there, barely anywhere to sit, rude staff And I had to wait outside in line for 10 mins. they closed at 3 cuz of Labor Day but I finally got my smoothie at 4:45. People kept coming in and the COSTUMERS has to tell them to leave . Orders from staff. Pure torture. Asked for the bathroom key, threw it at me. Literally. Don't believe me? Absolutely AMAZING! I got the Late Night Date after it was recommended by one of the girls working. It was fantastic! The environment is much less hectic than one of the average smoothie and juice chains and the menu is far more unique. The staff is super well-informed on their menu and very sweet. For the freshness of the taste and for being one of the only juice bars I've been to that can assure you they only have the most natural and nutrient rich ingredients and supplements this little juice bar is high on my list and I will most definitely become a quick regular. Aside from waiting a considerably long time for a drink that could have been served sooner if it wasn't for the person behind the counter, who, was more concerned with flirting with Miss yoga pants, this place might have gotten two stars. But it was apparent that they were more concerned with the yoga pants, who was behind me, that they neglected to follow my simple substitutions. Jamba juice gets it but hey, you are organic. You can afford to have that certain body odor because you use Tom's of Maine deodorant, but I don't think asking for personal hygiene to be a priority of anyone in the service industry to be unreasonable (dirty finger nails) . If I could describe my dream juice shop, it would be Main Squeeze!! The cold pressed juices are incomparable to the others I've had, along with the unique smoothies and on the spot juices. I have tried acai bowls all over the world and this place is BY FAR my favorite! The girls are so sweet and have the answer to EVERY question you may possibly have. They do not lie about being organic and for that, I am forever grateful. I only wish that they personally grew their own wheatgrass. It would add such a farm to table vibe read more

I recently stopped by Main Squeeze and had to leave a review. I ordered the berry smoothie, and it was honestly one of the best I've had. SUPER fresh, perfectly blended, and full of flavor without being overly sweet. The wait was a bit long. That said, once I got my drink, it absolutely made up for it. You can tell they take their time to make things right. The employees are super chill and helpful! If you're not in a rush, it's definitely worth the stop. I'll be coming back to try more. read more
