The Chinese food experience at Main Moon at 1573 GA-20 Conyers, GA was truly disappointing. The dinner we ordered for our family turned out to be the worst we have ever attempted to eat. The food was not only extremely nasty, but also flavorless, mushy, and consisted of old vegetables. After just one bite, no one in our family could eat anything further. We didn't even bother trying to get a refund or feeding it to our pets; it went straight into the garbage. This experience has taught us a valuable lesson - we will never order from here again. Although it was a waste of $100.00, we now understand the importance of sticking to what we know. I placed a simple order of chicken & broccoli, roast pork lo-mein, and roast pork egg rolls. The food was lackluster, at best. From the coloring you could tell that the broccoli had been overcooked, (it wasn't the crunchy, bright green in color that I'm used to), and was drowned in brown sauce. The Lo-Mein noodles were greasy and the roasted pork had no coloring to it. The saving grace to this disaster of a meal was the egg rolls. Unlike the other locations that I've ordered from previously, was surprised to have barely received ANY condiments, (had to ask for Duck Sauce and was only given two (2) packets) and there was only one (1) packet of Soy Sauce and no fortune cookies. I used to go to Main Moon and we get there pork chow mein with vegetables. It was usually pretty good but I can't notice it when I would order and I would be something slimy in the food. One day I have been eating and I never said something slimy looking in the food and I swear if you need a place I've ever been spit balls in the food here's this had to be. I get braised wings with fried rice. It's all good, the wings are crispy, just the way I like them. The sauce they're in is awesome & the shrimp fried rice is good with it. As far as a takeout place, it is great. (The inside dining room is very plain and functional.) But the FOOD is what matters, right? To me, the eggrolls are the BEST in the area. They are full of fresh cabbage and very tasty. The won ton soup is great! (I'm getting some tonight!) They have a wide selection of chicken wings, which can be ordered with or without rice. (Without is cheaper!) The wings are very tasty. My favorites are hot buffalo and sweet braised. The best bangs for the bucks are the combination meals, which come with steamed or fried rice and your choice of soup or eggroll. The "Four Seasons" is very good, as well but a little pricey. There are a few dishes that I do not care for the taste of but that's with every restaurant. Call ahead and it will be ready for you in 10-15 minutes. Reasonably priced. read more

The lo mein (I had pork) was great. I'm pretty picky because I have had AMAZING lo mein from my college town but this is the closest to that I have found. The Mongolian beef was good, not the best ever ever, but good and the vegetables were fresh and well cooked. It was not overly sweet or seasoned. The cashew chicken was pretty good too. The hot and sour soup tasted ok, it had a strong soy sauce taste but it was marginally enjoyable. They forgot my egg roll. If I went back I would probably order chicken lo mein. I have it four stars because the last place I went to ended up in the trash (see review,) so comparably, this place was great. read more

I call ahead and the girl behind the counter knows my voice If I don't ask for an unsweetened tea - she asks if I want one too. Never had anything bad here. They accommodate my change in vegetable order on the chicken and snow peas entree. I like snow peas, water chestnuts, mushrooms and Chinese cabbage instead of carrots and squash. Crab Rangoon can be ordered in a a half order which is nice for a single. It's slightly sweet and yummy. They are fast. Dining area is plain so don't eat here for atmosphere. Main Moon is my 'go to' Chinese take out restaurant in Conyers, GA. Tonight they made a type of Princess Chicken that is not on the menu. They took their #139 chicken with hot garlic sauce and replaced the green peppers with shredded cabbage at my request. I also asked for extra, extra peanuts. WOW what an excellent dish! How nice they will customize pretty much anything on the menu for you! They are very gracious when you ask for something specific. I've had take out from Main Moon over 20 times in the past 18 months and it always tastes great. Food is fresh, hot, and generous portions. Also worthy of note are the steamed dumplings with ginger sauce. You get 8 large sized dumplings with pork meat in them - very good indeed! Only two drawbacks in my personal experiences with Main Moon: The beef on a stick in their Pu Pu Tray is kind of tough and they do not have a website/on-line menu available.
