After ten years of living in Atlanta, I have FINALLY found good Chinese food! I found Dragon Delite via Yelp search and decided to give it a go. As the other reviews state, yes, it is a hole in the wall. All the best Chinese spots are. Everything is cooked to order, and had incredibly fresh ingredients. The pan fried noodles are how my family makes them. Crispy, ample veggies and meat, great sauce ratio. Wish there was bokchoy added. Authentic and delicious. General's chicken was pretty mild, even asking for as spicy as possible. Flavorful, good quality meat, crispy and light breading. Wonton soup was simple, and again, just like my family makes. Rice was perfectly cooked, fluffy and fresh. Will be back again soon! read more

Good food, crazy high prices. Nice service. Never been inside. I always wonder if the order taker wants the store to close because they warn about the prices of their food every time I come through. I decided to try another local place in Tucker instead and it was quite good and normally priced. Again, the food is good but I've had better. Today my husband and I indulged in some delicious dishes from Dragon Delite. I can't say enough good things about them. My husband's go to is still beef broccoli with hot and sour soup. As for myself, I had beef lo mein and crab rangoon. I am always blown away by how fresh the ingredients are. The food is great here! The price may appear on the high side, but worth every penny! Dragon Delite no longer allows customers to 'Dine in', or provide 'Delivery', but this has not hindered the dedicated ones like myself who use 'Take out'. We grabbed dinner here after a long, busy week at work. It was perfect for a dreary Friday evening. Something about Chinese can be so cozy. I ordered the veggie fried rice, general tsao, sesame chicken, kung pao chicken, and fried donuts. Food was hot and delicious. Customer service was great. Hands down best experience at a Chinese Restaurant. It was my first time coming and I wasn't sure what to get. I wanted to get something really good of course because I live on the westside of Atlanta and was not sure when I would be back on this side of town. Wow. This place is a hidden gem. The food is so fresh and the service is amazing. They cook everything to order and use premium ingredients for this meals. I stopped in after work. They are not allowing anyone in the building. They have a menu out front, but their are no prices. When asked about the prices, I was told it was based on market price. The food taste amazing however the price is crazy high. I paid $26 for 6 wings and shrimp fried rice like I was at juicy crab getting a seafood boil and I would have still got a drink. The service was great even tho I couldn't go inside me and the owner talked and she tried to convince me that the serving can last me 2 days or even feed 2 people... what each of us getting? 3 wings and some rice and think we're going to be full? Visited February 2020 I have driven past Dragon Delite Chinese for I don't know how many years now, and its appearance hasn't changed. Small unassuming little shop located in Pine Lake, this location is off of Rockbridge road, sandwiched between Rowland road and Allgood road. I came on a weekday afternoon and the door was locked, although staff came and opened the door. Staff were very friendly, talkative and mentioned they keep their door locked because of people who have dropped in and stole things....even something as bizarre as a living goldfish from their fish tank! It's a shame really because these appear to be very nice people. In all the talking, I decided to order a couple of things: Vegetable Chow mein ($8.25) 10 fried chicken wings (Hot braised) ($11.10) Right off the bat, the food was opened for me before I left, and the wings are really BIG. Staff even mentioned 'we don't sell any baby wings', and they're right....10 wings will fill you up if you try to eat all of these. The flavor of the wings were good, but they weren't as crispy as I would like. Skin seemed more tough than crispy, but again, flavors were good and i'd order these again. The vegetable chow mein is the problem for me. While there was a LOT of noodles and veggies (mainly carrot, mushroom, broccoli and onion) the noodles were also really, REALLY greasy. They shimmered in grease and i've just had better from other locations. Parking and tables inside are both easy to come by. I was both one of the only cars and THE only customer at the time. There are a good number of tables and chairs though so bring a friend. I guess i'd keep my review at a solid 3.5, but I wouldn't round up to 4. I'm definitely not done with Dragon Delite Chinese and look forward to trying a few more of their dishes in hopes of getting their score up. Worth driving out of the way for? Probably not......but if you're close and hungry, it's worth a stop! read more

This family-owned restaurant is our go-to for Chinese food. It is take-out only, but this is no fast food restaurant. The food is prepared when you order, portions are large, and all sauces and batters are prepared from scratch. They have a great lunch menu that includes a main course, an egg roll, and fried rice at a very reasonable price. Staff is friendly and helpful. read more

We ordered takeout from here and we were so disappointed. The price of the food was so ridiculous. I was not sure what the adjustment was on my Uber eats receipt. Every item on the menu from Dragon Delite is crossed out. They have market pricing written on the menu. How do you know what the market price is. You think you paying one price and when the order is complete they have added an additional charge. The portion size was half of what it used to be. This place is the real deal. Let me restate that. This place is the REAL DEAL. the cooking is fantastic, this mom and pop place makes excellent, fresh and delicious food. We had the general tso's chicken and the sauce was light and spicy and the chicken was super crispy -- not greasy at all. We also had egg rolls and pork fried rice -- both were delicious too. She told me about the menu because I told her I was visiting and new at her. All of the food is freshly made to order but be warned it's expensive. I have been here several times but unlike most Chinese restaurants this one is overpriced in comparison of the old prices they were charging and there are using smaller to go plates and charging more. I wish I had been warned about how sketchy this area is. It shares a parking lot with a pawn/gun shop and there's a ton of construction going on, I saw several cops driving by and heard a siren while I was waiting for my food. It's not their fault but I think I won't be coming back because of feeling very unsafe. When I called to order the food, they told me it would be an hour wait. So, I figured they were busy. When we got there to pick up the food, we were the only people waiting. They even called my phone while we were in the parking lot to let me know the food was ready, and proceeded to make us wait another 15 min before they brought the food out...weird. Thankfully, the food was not terrible. Nothing amazing but it got the job done. I had fried wontons, sweet and sour chicken, Mongolian beef, and shrimp lo mein. They warned me over the phone that the wontons didn't have anything in them, so it was just the wrapper shaped like a wonton and fried. I got them anyway, but I'm not sure why. The sweet and sour chicken was great. The Mongolian beef was flavorful but soupy, too watery. The lo mein was great, but the shrimp were teeny-tiny. I've never seen shrimp that small actually served at a restaurant. The best part about it is that it was half the price of the place we normally go to, so we knew going in it was going to be a gamble. I'm tired of paying so much for Chinese when you can find something just as good for way cheaper. We will have to keep looking for other Chinese places. I'm not sure we will come back to this one. :( read more

I knew it was going to be bad when I asked for a total and the rude lady on the phone said "like 12 to 15 dollars",she guesstimated my total. I go to pick up the food it takes about fifteen minutes total to get it even tho I ordered it 20 mins earlier and I'm the only customer waiting. Vickie is totally awesome and kind! The food is always amazing and totally the best Chinese food we ever have eaten! I have been eating at Dragon Delite for almost 40 years. The food has consistently been fresh and delicious over all the years. I have moved away from the area for over 25 years, yet my husband and I still return to this special restaurant every time we are visiting the area. We come down annually for our anniversary. The reason we do this is because my husband actually proposed to me in the parking lot of the restaurant :) Vickie always makes our visit special by giving us great food, and she even gives us some celebratory chinese donuts, which by the way are the absolute BEST Chinese donuts we ahve ever put in our mouths - the literally melt in our mouths... Just the kindness and love they put into their food and service are so special to us. Never will we ever be able to find another Chinese restaurant that means so much to us and treats us so well!!
