Went to order six plates of food. And the person in the front was already being super rude. I paid for it and I waited 10 minutes. Then I got up and asked how long was it gonna take since I was the only person in the restaurant. Then the front desk person started telling me that if I was not gonna wait to get out. I told him if I could have my money back, he said no. After about another 15 minutes, I received my food and I started looking at it to make sure it was right, and not only did the food not look appetizing. It was all wrong, and I went to the front desk again, and I told him that I wanted my money back. Since the order was completely wrong. He told me to F of. Proceeded to lift up his shirt and show me that he had a gun. Then I told him. I was gonna call the police if I didn't get my money back, and then proceed to tell me that I was a racist. The flavor was lacking big time! I ordered 2 combinations plates and Egg Foo Young online. I arrived the food was ready so no complaints about the service but the food was extremely flavorless. Everything, from the rice to the ribs to the General Tso Chicken and Egg Foo Young. I don't know if there was someone new preparing the food but something was definitely off. Portion sizes were fine, it's just the flavor wasn't there whatsoever. This was truly a disappointment and whenever we have the taste for Chinese food again, I'll be seeking out another restaurant. read more

House Special Fried Rice was okay. The rice had shrimp and BBQ pork. It wasn't fried, and had a yellow hue to it. Their portions were massive. I also got the Hunan Beef and Szechuan Beef which were mildly spicy and had a good amount of vegetables in it. The sauce for each were very heavy and thick. Great bang for the buck! Family owned and the dumplings fried are my fav. In a pinch good food on fly to feed the family. Standard cuisine with familiar flavors but fresh seafood is a problem for ALL small shops inland. Not 5 star cuisine but 5 star service and speed to feed the family. I've been eating here as long as they have been open. love this place. but my last two visit I have been disappointed. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and get home no sweet and sour sauce next time i ordered I asked for large pork fried rice. got home and I counted 12 small pieces of pork in my box. yes i actually counted. very disappointed . Just had the worst Chinese ever . husbands general Tso chicken sauce was as thick as jam. It wasn't a sauce, and it had a bad flavor. Maybe had been kept warming for way too long? I love this place and my entire family eats this food regularly. Some of these reviews are really dramatic and unfair. Their food is delicious and has spoiled me for other takeout places (which is what this is. despite it having some options to eat inside, it's just typical storefront, takeout Chinese place set up). The price is amazing- you just can't beat it. Everything we've ever tried has been amazing. I really love Chinese food, and this place is my favorite takeaway joint. You call ahead if you know what you want (or look at the online menu)... dinner for 2 and 3 are great options because it's like a packaged family deal but you can choose the dishes you want. They are finished cooking it at max 15 minutes, so it's perfect to order, then head to pick it up. Always piping hot, delicious and cooked just right! Just ordered here again tonight in fact. Or if you need groceries, just order before, tell them how long you will take before heading into Kroger and it will be done and waiting on you. Don't know why the one review said they will hang up on you becuse that's not true. English might be a little limited depending on who answers but they always say "is that it?" or "anything else?" before then confirming your order and telling you 10-15 minutes until it's ready. it's no nonsense because they work fast and keep things moving... this place is ALWAYS busy. read more

Been to Peking restaurant many, many times. Each time it gets worse. Ordered chicken fried rice (meal) and it was saffron rice with a small amount of tiny bits of chicken, a few pieces of carrots and peas and NO egg, no soy sauce or teriyaki flavor. The hot and sour soup, which I normally enjoy from this restaurant, tasted very "off". The teriyaki chicken on a stick was burnt and dried out. Moo Goo Gai pan and shrimp with veggies were underwhelming, with very little meat. The crab Rangoon was wonderful. Spent $70 on 3 meals and 2 appetizers. Bad food, not fresh, little portions of meat, Terrible experience. Won't go back. read more

i get takeout from this spot A LOT. but this is surely the last time. this specific dish, the steamed dumplings, used to be my favorite. i noticed while chewing that it was mushy & tasted like how cat food smells. like my cats wet food. and it is very odd because it's usually made with pork when i order and it appeared to be some kind of beef? it was PINK compared to the other "cooked" dumpling. and after poking through it with my fork and finger i kid you not... my finger smells like when you accidentally get your cat's wet food on it when opening the can. absolutely disgusted. they've been going downhill lately cause my family usually does chinese takeout every couple of weeks and it's started to get pretty gross. normally wonderful service, used to be great food. very disappointed. will update if it makes me sick... read more

This was a delightful find, located next door to Kroger on hwy 20 its the best take out chinese we have found. Prices are in line, ordering over the phone is hassle free - cause we all know it isnt always with chinese take out. I am particular about spring roles, most places dip them in grease as an after coating - not so here. Highly recomment adding them to your next order. The sweet tea is good too :-) read more

Ordered online Sunday May 3rd 2020. The food was fantastic. The portions were beyond generous. And the pricing is very fair, especially for as much food as you get. The young lady working the front was super friendly. The food was piping hot even after a 10 minute drive back to the house. Ok, I typically do not eat Chinese food out. My husband loves it, me, not so much. Unless, of course, I make it at home. About a week ago, I decided to let him eat his Chinese food, so we went here because it's close. OMG! We had a to go order, so we had to wait while they cooked it, about 15 minutes. It was very hot outside and even worse inside! They didn't even have the ac on! Also, I have NEVER EVER seen a restaurant that doesn't offer ice! That should be against the law! How crazy is that? The food was worse than awful, the brocolli was under cooked and the portion was enough for 3 people! Honestly, I will never go back there. Sorry, guys. Y'all need to get air conditioning, an ice maker and also, you need to learn how to cook authentic Chinese food. read more

Honestly I grew up eating here, and I didn't realize how AMAZING the food was until I tried other Chinese restaurants. I tried Panda Express only to be VERY disappointed with the food quality and the way I was treated. At Peking I feel like I'm a part of a family. Generic, bland, and sauces are heavy with cornstarch. I've had worse, but not by much. You could do better by going to House of Lin in the Ingle's shopping center on Salem Rd or China Star next to Publix at Brown's Bridge Rd and Salem Rd. My third choice would be Panda Express. read more
