Ok, so I'm definitely gonna give them another chance, I wasn't vastly dissatisfied with this first time, I just wasn't wowed. I've literally waited 20 years to try this place (known if it never went) until my buddy spoke highly of their Basil Duck. On the day I tried it, I didn't have a whole lot of time, so I ordered a to -go Pad Si Ew with beef. It came a few minutes after the stated "10 minutes", (15 minutes, but that is 50 % longer than promised) however it came out piping hot, bagged and ready to go with a nice side of a coconut mushroom soup that I did not expect. Inside was nicely decorated and in keeping with what I consider to be traditional. The outside is nice and neat, very clean, and in a convenient outdoor shopping area with convenient parking. 5 stars. Value here is more of a 2 stars situation. Lunch was listed as $15.95 (including the beef option). I always tip at least 10% on a carry out, but shame on me, the had already added that but didn't say anything, nor did I read it anywhere, but I tipped on top of that and should not have. So basically with entree, tax, tip,.....and tip, I was at $20 for a lunch. To go. 3 stars on my food. The food quality was good, though I did not care for the soup. It was so seaweed heavy, funky, different, that I poured it out. The Pad Si Ew was good, but needed Soy sauce. There was none to be found in the bag. None on the counter to pack. Oh well. I'll go try the Basil Duck next time. And probably sit down for a more in depth look. read more

Fast nice servers, cute quaint Thai restaurant. The food came out fast and I enjoyed it, and not too shabby pricing- with good amount of options on the menu too! There isn't much options for different sauces, but I did enjoy my food and the experience here. read more

Food 2/5 I am a foodie and I throughly enjoy Thai. This is the worst, most bland Thai cuisine I've experienced. The veggie spring rolls were the best item I ordered, but you truly can't mess up spring roll--who doesn't like hot crispy fried dough?! The coconut chicken soup was blah. Then main entree was one r the fried rices and I added vegetables and chicken. You pay extra for veggies in the fried rices--my first time seeing this as most places prepare their fried rice with some combo of veggies. I should have known better, because the rice I ordered had raisins in it. I thought this was different but was willing to try (they could have kept them out as it didn't make the rice remarkable). There was zero seasoning or flavor. I will say that the portion was a nice size. I took my leftovers home, but truly could have left them at the table, and I ended up throwing it away the following day after a few bites, and I don't waste food! Service 3/5 The waitress was nice but she wasn't spectacular. She did offer suggestions after I asked her what she likes from the menu. Baan Thai is located at 1805 Parker Road SE Conyers, GA. On 12/3/23 their Health Score is 100-A which is excellent. My friend and I celebrated her Birthday lunch here. The service was great and we were greater upon entering. We ordered the Spring Egg Rolls, Thai Spicy Fried Rice and Curry Fried Rice. All the food was so delicious. Th ambiance was quite because there were not a lot of people in the restaurant. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner. My family and I dine here often and we absolutely love it. We're always greeted with kindness and served with even better food. We often go during the week and usually a couple more families are also dining in when we're there, but a lot more people do pick up orders. I highly recommend this restaurant and it's in a great location in Conyers. read more

I really chose the incorrect time to dine... the place was packed with the after church lingerers and the late late lunch crowd that was up late late late last night. There were two servers/hosts/phone order takers/to go pick up staff/table clearers/cash register operators/food runners. These two individuals ran non stop juggling all those tasks. They were polite and professional. I never saw them pause. I ordered soup an entree. The soup never showed and when the server realized that she offered to pack it up to go and not charge me but I declined. It was a wonderful gesture, though. The pad kee mao was tasty and gently spiced. It was chock full of fresh veggies. The restaurant itself is very beautifully appointed with Thai cultural items. Placed a to go order at vet the phone during lunchtime. When I arrived, I had to wait an additional 13-15 minutes. I did not like that! My order was shrimp fried rice, spring rolls and garlic chicken with vegetables- and I also got a Slice of cake for $7.99 I wasn't aware until it was rang up separately-it was very tasty and I would order again as long as hubby pays for it. The fried rice was average. The chicken dish was also average. I was not a fan of the spring rolls which appeared to soggy in the middle. The restaurant was small, clean and well maintained. Would I return, if in the area, probably - but not make a decision to travel there specifically. read more

I went for lunch. There was a nice crowd, but I was able to get a seat. The atmosphere is nice and quaint. I had the Pad Thai, curry puffs and and a Thai coffee. My first time having Thai coffee and it was deeeeelish. The Pad Thai was just ok. I'm looking for a lot of flavor when it comes to Thai food and I wasn't impressed, but I'll give it a 3 out of 5. The curry puffs were good, light and crisp with minced curry chicken inside. I'll give them a 4.5 on flavor. I will give this place another try because I love Thai and it's the closest to where I live. read more

Absolutely impeccable service. Friendly, anticipating your need with a smile the whole way! Blown away with great service. Pad kee mao was delicious and after ordering very very spicy they provided a selection of spices to accommodate. Tomyum soup was a nice light flavorful appetizer. If I could change anything it would be more al dente, but that's my personal preference. Also, establishment seems great for large parties. Will be back. read more

COVID REVIEW It's been difficult finding places that are open during this pandemic. I was heading to a different take out place that ended up being closed but I remembered that I always wanted to try this place. I ordered spicy shrimp pad thai, chicken pad thai, veggie spring rolls and crabmeat cheese rolls and everything was really good. The rolls were both really good and crunchy and were served with a sweet dipping sauce. And both pad Thai dishes were really good. My shrimp dish was tasty and flavorful and had a small kick. I had Thai food last night at my job and wanted more so I decided to order some Chicken and Shrimp pad Thai. I came in a small box and some chips. The total was 19.77. I usually see the bean sprout and crushed peanuts on the side but I guess they just mixed it all in. I gave a 3 star because there was no silverware. If someone is buying take out. How do you expect them to eat it? I am back in my hotel with no silverware. I'm glad they gave me napkins, I can be a savage and use my hands now. Thanks Baan Thai!! read more

Glad I found this place! I was visiting my mom in GA and didn't think I'd be able to find a Thai place as good as the one I eat at in NY. This place was very good! The vegetable Pad Kee Mao was very flavorful, although a bit lacking in spice, but still very yummy, and their Thai iced tea was great and perfectly sweet. I can't speak for how their takeout is since I've never ordered takeout from here, but the food in the restaurant was fresh and delicious. I definitely recommend eating here if you're looking for great Thai food! read more

Basil fried rice ( spicy fried rice) here is good. I would not recommend the crab cheese rolls. Entrée prices are reasonable.

It's hard to find a good, non-fast food, and non-chain restaurant in Conyers, GA. It's a small town off the highway. I've had to visit Conyers for work a few times and Baan Thai offers a great selection of Thai plates that will give you warm home cooked meal feeling. The restaurant is located in the Kroger's plaza and closed on Mondays. Upon entering you'll notice soft Thai music playing in the background, gold trimmings on the tables, and Thai decorations displayed nicely around the restaurant. They offer complimentary large shrimp chips before your meal comes out. The couple times I have been here I have ordered the masaman curry with beef / tofu. I really enjoyed the tofu. It is firm tofu and a plenty in quantity. The masaman curry is excellent, creamy and flavorful, and in addition to your protein option comes with potatoes, carrots, and avocado. Also comes with a large scope of white rice. You can choose brown rice if you would like. If I'm ever in the Conyers area I'll come Baan Thai again and would recommend it to others! read more

Food was pretty good, but not worth the extra price. There are other places nearby that have better pricing for just as good food. Also, my wait was incrediblyyyyyyy long. It took 45 minutes before my food came out. There didn't seem to be one set server. Instead I was waited on by 4 different people. Seemed a bit scrambled. Not sure if they are always this busy, but they definitely seemed understaffed. They may have less ambiance, but Thai-in- the- box will keep my business instead. read more

Caution: prices have been raised significantly, yet not posted to website. I ordered takeout for 3 and it was $81; 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, and soup for one but they charged me $12 like for two. The food at this restaurant is very good, but we can't afford to be charged this much. Not updating the website prices is just not fair. read more
