Being a multipurpose arcade/restaurant/bowling alley, this establishment does its job fairly well. None of my dining experiences have been exceptionally pleasant as the food is pretty subpar, but the arcade at Main Event is a lot of fun. Sometimes games are out of service, but it is not too challenging to locate an employee who is usually quick to fix things and refund your lost credits. My toddler often wants to go bowling, but he loses interest halfway through a game. The people working the front desk usually offer us a good deal where we only pay for the shoes and that is super helpful because I could not imagine paying over $30 to go bowling and having my son give up halfway through the first game. The prize shop has a solid variety of candies/treats and toys that are well priced for their ticketed value. Overall, for fortyish dollars my son and I have a pretty good time gaming for an hour and a half on an ordinary day. We had a decent time here, the customer service wasn't bad . I was a bit upset that a lot of the "attractions" weren't open / available. It makes people feel as if they were cheated out of the experience. I wanted to go here because we've never been here before. Been here a few times now between birthday party's, school events and just something to do. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with everything going on here. Bowling alley is well maintained and they offer different screen filter to make in plain Jane or goofy and fun. Food and bar area is nice and relatively good. Drinks are made well and the food has been pretty decent from what I've had. Pizza, burger, chicken fingers. Service is hit or miss. I don't fully blame them on this as they really don't know if the they will be slammed that day or not. But they do what they can. Went today for a birthday party that the girls were invited too. Walked in told them the name of the party. They took us right to then getting ready to start bowling for an hour. After that went to the party room for food, drinks and cake. From there we went to laser tag, sky course then play time within the arcade area. We had a staff member with us for the whole time and she did great. Kept us on time and moving so that every kid had time to be part of the party events. We sat down after an hour of playing and she took care of us right away was constantly checking in on us after ordering drinks and food. Which we got some cotton candy Shirley temples for the kids and for mains we got the Pizza Palooza that had 2 pizza strips one cheese on pepperoni thanks to her :) also mozzarella stick and pretzels. Everything was delicious the food came out quickly and everything was perfect temp. We also got some loaded fries which were very cheesy I almost wish there were more fries and some kids meals. This was a lot of fun! An unexpected surprise my wife had for us last Sunday. Plenty of parking and the host at the front made sure to get you acclimated, as did the other folks working there of whom we asked many questions. On a hot and humid day it was a great way to enjoy playtime in the afternoon in comfort! Lots to do, we very much enjoyed eating in the first dining room when you come in and took advantage of the great discounted meal-and-games combos, Excellent service! The manager came around periodically to check on the tables, which is always a good sign. It was well organized with a cheerful and well-behaved customers. We loved the laser tag, skee ball, and myriad video games. We didn't get to try out the skywalk where, secured by safety harnesses, you walk above the game area on a variety of what appear to be tightropes, balance beams, and a zip line. We will definitely do so next time. (We were curious as to how well it would handle larger people--i.e., parents --and saw the weight limit is 300 pounds. It surprised me that it was that high but it's good to know... especially when you feel you've gained 50 pounds at the restaurant. There's also a bowling alley which looked great and will be one of the things will be checking out next time, too. We took our kids and my nieces and nephews for a day of play. There are alot of options but some were just not worth the money spent. The laser tag did not work well. There were 11 of us and none of our laser guns worked well so it was frustrating. Tons of games were nice. Bowling alleys were not fully functioning and we had to have people come get them to work a few times. But management made it up to us by providing game cards. I have been to this location a few times and my experience has always been similar. My friends and I were celebrating a friend's birthday so we decided to have some fun. We arrived to the bowling section and after 10 minutes the bowling machine broke, and we had to switch lanes twice during our game. The service was good, the server we got was on top of our stuff but it took around 30 minutes to be able to find someone to order with. When the drinks arrived, the cocktails tasted like water, and had a minimum amount of alcohol. The food sadly wasn't really good either. After that, we decided to walk around and play some games. Unlimited arcade games for $12.99 BUT certain games are not included which sucked and you don't get points either which also sucked. My son got a promo for spinning a wheel during the county fair and we decided to finally use it and spend our Friday evening at Main Event. The pass was awesome, providing an all you can play and $50 in arcade credit, so big thanks to the company for the community support! We also bought a $50 game card for ourselves and my husband and bought a game of laser tag to play with our son. The good- we had fun, staff were friendly, I am a reigning champ at air hockey, and my son was impressed this time at his prize redemption options. Areas of opportunity- SEVERAL games were broken and ate our points, despite looking fine. People were spilling food and drinks everywhere, and there weren't many employees out on the arcade floor for support for either of those issues as they all seemed to staff the prize room. Prizes need to be more clearly marked with the number of points needed as there were many unlabeled. The all you can play pass seems like a good option, but we really only used it for one round of laser tag. Like before, will we come again? Determine on why you come to Main Event it can be a hit or miss establishment. If you're bringing the family to have a fun night then you're in the right spot. Although the money goes quickly the children are guaranteed a fun night. Whether its bowling, laser tag, and the arcade definitely a plus. Now if we're talking about the food then we hit amongst the fastfood lane. Nothing 5 stars about their food. You can consider this place one step above Chuck E Cheese but the same menu as Dave and Busters. I will say the lemon pepper wings are a must. Everything else on the menu is just typical fast food with a higher price. So on why you're arriving to this establishment it's a hit or miss. As long as the children are happy this place may last a few years. But if it were Determine based on food this would shut down within a year or two. First visit. Food was actually very good. I was expecting a dry burger but the lava burger was very tasty! The service was ok, a bit slow but most of the workers were young adults. We went for my parents anniversary and after we ate we went bowling. Lanes were not clean. Of course there are lots of kids and they were not being attended to by the parents. There were a lot of video games including virtual games but after bowling we just all wanted to go home. As adults with grown children this was not a lot of fun. I can't stress enough how disappointed I am with their lack of customer service. From the moment I walked in, the place was a mess--trash was overflowing everywhere, and it was clear that no one was bothering to keep the facility clean. To make matters worse, the staff seemed more interested in their phones than actually doing their jobs. My bartender, Taylor, was obivilous to customer needs. When she did finally approach, her attitude was cold, and she seemed completely uninterested in helping. I understand places can get busy, but when the employees are sitting around on their phones while the facility is falling apart, it's unacceptable. I expected a lot more from a place like Main Event. I won't be coming back, and I highly recommend going to Dave and Buster instead. read more

I went on a double date here on a Saturday night and we ended up going bowling. We didn't have reservations so it was about an hour wait although they told us about 45 minutes initially. While we were waiting, we got a drink from the bar which was pretty good. I had a strawberry margarita and my partner had a mojito. The bowling alley was pretty standard and we had a great time. The pricing wasn't too bad either. It was $40 for an hour for up to 5 players but they do charge $4.95 each for shoes. I'll probably return to try out their other entertainment which includes laser tag, gaming, billiards and gravity ropes. read more

Not my first Main Event visit. First for this location though. Food was "meh" at best for our party of 12. My wife and I ordered salads and they came out frozen. Both. My brother and his wife ordered the smash burger sliders. Two orders. Both raw smash burgers. Like... that takes skill to have two raw orders of smash burger sliders. Order of loaded fries were a mess. Two sodas were spilled on us. I feel like we should have just gotten up and left. But alas.... We did not. The rest of my party checked their orders and soldiered through. Manager was kind, but I personally feel this place is over priced, not maintained (lots of games not working) and was just dirty. Came here with our friends from GA and our kids which are teenagers. This place reminds me of a Dave and Busters but with a full bowling alley and pool tables, along with a dining area. They had a special for $19.99 you get all activities including pool, laser tag, bowling. Bowling was a 2 hour wait because families had the lanes literally the whole time we were there! Only thing the pass doesn't include is the arcade games which you can purchase a game card separately. We got the wrist bands for the girls and my friends husband. They really enjoyed playing laser tag multiple times. We didn't try bowling because of the wait time. We did find some seating near the bowling alley to get some food and wait for the kids. We had to flag down a cleaning person to ask if we can order as nobody approached our table for anything and we had been sitting there a good 20 minutes. Waitress finally came over and was very friendly. She took our drink and food order. They do have specials on the food menu for appetizer choices and a game pass which we opted to purchase for our daughter. We ordered the boneless wings and fries. FYI that if you opt for this deal you have to pay your tab prior to the game card being given to you. Which we didn't know until we asked the waitress. Food was just ok. Wings were better than fries. The fries must've been frozen together in a lump and just dumped into the fryer because I went to pick up one and the entire stack of fries were all in a clump. My kids (7 and 4) were pumped to go to Main Event on a day off school. Seems like everyone else had that same idea. It was a hot when we showed up and the line was out the door. We waited in line for 10-15 minutes. Eventually I realized that since we were only there to play arcade games we could purchase a card from a machine and didn't have to stand in line. Better signage or a person directing traffic, especially when the line is out the door, might be helpful. Once inside, things moved much quicker. We bought our card (I paid 35 dollars for the two kids to share). The kids wanted to race and there were lots of options so that they weren't standing around waiting a long time to play. After multiple car and motorcycle races we ventured to other parts of the arcade. There were VR games, shooting games, carnival like games, basketball shooting and bowling. There were also tons of claw grabbing prize games (too many as my kids wanted to do all of them). We had one issue, a game malfunctioned without my kids or I even realizing it, and an employee jumped right in and corrected it. Main Event is a fine way to spend a hot afternoon indoors. It is a bit pricey but seems comparable to other venues that do these same types of activities. I hope to come back with some adults and try some of the other things they have to offer. read more

My husband and I took our young nieces and nephews to Main Event as a fun treat before school started up again. We didn't think that the Sunday before a school day would be busy, but we were wrong. At 5 pm, the entire place was packed, not only with regular customers, but also no less than 5 different birthday parties. If you see more than 2 birthday parties there, just turn around and go home. If you're not bringing children to play there, don't even waste your time. Main Event has a lot of offerings for entertainment, but if it's busy, then you're not going to be able to do much there. They have bowling, a sit down restaurant, laser tag, VR, billiards, and gravity ropes. The website advertises a variety of these experiences, but you need to check with the specific location to see if they actually have it where you're going. Arcade games cost 7.5 credits to play. I believe $50 buys you about 200 credits. The other activities have an additional cost and require sign-up times. The gravity ropes and a laser tag game cost something like $10 each. The kids could not do gravity ropes because they were already booked up until 10 pm. Laser tag has games every 20 minutes. There is an all you can play activity card for $25, but but we couldn't get one because the employees said they stop selling them after 5 pm. There is no signage of this anywhere. For laser tag, there are 2 teams, but the workers don't bother trying to even up the teams. My party went against a team with an additional 6 players. They don't explain anything to you, they just turn on an instructional video while you're left to fumble around putting on your vest in the dark and trying to watch the video. The arcade games are okay. Many were broken, and not too many maintenance folks walking around. I only encountered one man who was hyper focused on fixing a crane machine the entire time I was there. He said he would radio another person to come help fix the basketball game that had gotten the balls stuck in the hoop. Well no one came, so the kids on the machine just climbed inside and unstuck the balls themselves. Main Event is mostly run by teenagers and college-age folks. It's amazing that the place actually functions. I went to put my name down for a table in the sit-down area, and although there were 4 employees standing at the host podium, only one bothered to take down my information. They also told me it was a 90 minute wait, to which I said fine, not knowing whether we'd still be there that long. We went to order some pizza and fries from the fast service counter instead. The pizza was pretty good and came out quickly. Fries took about 20 minutes to come out for some reason, and just as they came out, I got a text saying that a sit-down table was ready for me. We had to fight for some tables and chairs, since most of the extra dining seating was taken by the many birthday parties in attendance that day. If I didn't promise to entertain 4 grade school kids and a toddler at Main Event, I would have walked out less than an hour of being there. This is not a place for adults to come play arcade games for fun. It's way too chaotic and not enough capacity. Unless someone else is paying for me or my child specifically asked to go, I would not come back to Main Event unless it was in the middle of a weekday during the school year. read more

Worst Birthday Party experience ever. Before the event, I never received an updated contract. When I arrived at event, it was already clear the host had absolutely no clue what she was doing. We had a large party and she was not prepared. My guests were coming to the party, and there was no one at the check in. I had to leave the party just to show guests where to go. I also had to show my guests where to get the shoes from. Another host ended up helping us add bowlers, so kids could enjoy bowling. Since bowling was highly unorganized, the kids only had 30 minutes to bowl since most didn't know where my party was at first. Host bought water for bowling 15 minutes before the kids were done. Then, host was still missing so I directed the kids back to our party room. The room didn't have water or lemonade yet. Then the pizzas were unprepared so we wasted 15 minutes in the room just sitting. Host took a long time for cake knife and candles so then we ended up singing Happy Birthday with nothing. This party had a lot of time wasted with a horrible host. Large parties need to be corrected here. I will surely never return and taking that matter to corporate with my many witnesses. The ambiance is great for kids. They provide good music, video games everywhere, and other teenage events like bowling and sky rides. The service has always been great for me and my daughter every time we have been here. The food was delicious. We kept it simple and went for the double cheeseburger and the mega pan pepperoni pizza with an Oreo cheesecake. The only negative is no military discount and it can be pricey for bigger families. Also the toys in exchange for the points are not equivalent. It appears the dollar store has better toys for the price. read more
