First visit... Finally! This place is hidden way back by the sports complex. They have a lot of adult beverages to choose from including hard liquor. For example they offer three different kinds of vodka with Tito's being one of them. It's on the fourth floor of the hotel with a view of the western sky for sunsets along with the sports fields. We kiddingly said parents could sit up here with alcohol in hand and cheer on their kids way below on the field. Seating: inside they have bar seating with about seven chairs. There is a single TV at the far left of the bar (see pic), so this is not ideal to watch sports on TV. No sound or closed caption. Outside it is just plain hot this time of year until the sun goes down. They have fans but for some reason they weren't on and the temp was 95. There were a couple people sitting outside but they didn't last long. Around sunset I'm sure this is the place to be. There are multiple sofas and areas to sit outside. Also a large Jenga stacking block game is available to play. There are at least two larger TVs outside. The parking lot indicates parking should be paid for. There are numerous signs with giant QR codes to do this. Since we were only there for an hour to grab a single drink we didn't pay for parking. When there are large tournaments going on at the neighboring sports complex I'm sure the hotel does a better job at patrolling who parks at the hotel and maybe then expects parking to be paid for. Drinks: happy hour is from 5p (when they open) to 7p. There is no happy hour menu (this would be a suggestion to make things easier on both the bartender and the customer). We were there at happy hour so took advantage of $8 white sangria and $8 cranberry with house vodka. They also give 10% off to locals. They normally have cards they provide for future use, but the bartender indicated they ran out and were on order. Food: There is a few food choices, including a smash burger and appetizers. They also had a couple cake slices on special. We didn't eat so can't speak to quality or time before ready. Service was average. There was only one bartender at 5:30p on a Wednesday with no sports going on at the complex. We got our drinks fairly quickly. They were tasty but served in small cocktail glasses and not much alcohol. For happy hour discounted pricing this is commonplace. I will be back to try it again, hopefully for a sunset this time! read more

First rooftop bar in the Wesley Chapel neighborhood. Although not the greatest views, it's definitely a nice little set up in the Marriott Residence Inn. You can definitely drink and unwind. The music is diverse. All ages are welcomed, especially those with families (which is a plus). The cocktails are also well made and aesthetically pleasing. I didn't feel like I was consuming juice. I really didn't have much to eat other than the spinach artichoke dip. But I would recommend here if you want a different vibe from any of the restaurants in the area. read more

Cute little spot inside the Marriott. Very little. Inside bar seats 3 at the bar and a few more in chairs. The outside is new and clean, cute and cozy, and offers a nice place to catch the sunset. Came for happy hour and none of the happy hour sangrias were available, so I had water. I also ordered the "buffalo chicken bites" a anticipating some kind of chicken...but it was actually a blend of cream cheese and buffalo wing sauce inside of a wonton type wrapper with a side of ranch dressing...no chicken To write about. If you like enjoying your Funky Buddha with Bavarian Pretzels with Beer Cheese and the Cheers - "where everyone knows your name" feel this is the place for you! And they've got a great selection of bourbons like Macallan and Woodford Reserve! Andrea will take good care of you and make sure you don't leave thirsty! And for funsies Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thirsty Thursdays you can play Shoot Your Shot and try to land a basket from the rooftop bar! If you make the basket (unlike me!) - you win shots for the whole bar!! I met lots of happy patrons at the bar, a few fun regulars and a few staycation-ers!! We love this place. Excellent happy hour. Such a fun little spot in Wesley Chapel- so close to home. Overlooking the sport complex. If you have kids playing there, it would be so convenient. We enjoyed the affordable champagne, sangria, beer cheese pretzels, and Buffalo dip. The drinks were delicious and service was fine. After they started getting a little busy there was a huge drop off in service. I would not want to be there when the Skybox was full. You'd have a long wait for drinks and food. We ordered nachos with chicken. It was served cold, more accurately below room temp. We thought it was the salsa on top, but it was luke warm, at best, throughout. We should have known because the couple next to us has the same issue. I don't know if it is the distance to the kitchen or something else, I can tell you several others around us commented on the room temperature food. I didn't see a lot of empty plates. I didn't see anyone send anything back, including us. We should have, but we had already waited 20 minutes for the "shareable," as they call it. If we hadn't ordered food, I would give this place 4 stars. Because of the food, 3 is a stretch. I wish I could give it a 2 and 1/2. read more

Okay, so I like the idea behind this place. However, it is not appropriately staffed for the amount of people there. The bartender and the guy making the food were very nice, and their drinks are very good, I'll give them that. But I ordered a burrata bruschetta, was told "10-15min" and waited 45 minutes, and it wasn't very good. I think they're trying to do too much with too little staff. The food there I can't really speak for. Had chips and salsa which was basically jar salsa with very bland generic chips. Drinks were basic to say the least. Didn't know till the tally at the end every drink cost more than the stated menu price. Rooftop bar? If you enjoy looking at a building and a semi-dead soccer field this is right up your alley. She made everyone feel welcome with her friendly attitude, great conversation, and impressive drink making skills. We were thinking inside the box ... inside the Skybox Rooftop bar that is . Located high atop the Residence Inn hotel on the fourth floor overlooking the many soccer fields of Wiregrass Sports Complex . A quaint , cozy space with a choice to sit and relax inside or out . We were greeted within moments of arrival with a warm smile from Tori as she mixed our cocktails . A Soccer themed cocktail menu we ordered the nothing but net and the basket toss. We enjoyed these as we watched the sun escape the sky with live music enhancing the atmosphere. A small menu offering small bites , salads, wrap's , kids options and ending with dessert . We grazed on the Wedge Caesar salad and BBQ pulled pork wrap. The salad was crisp and garnished with hard boiled egg, red onion, bacon, shaved Parmesan cheese and chicken breast that we opted to add . The wrap had shredded smoked bbq pork over coleslaw and dill pickles - the actual wrap was grilled that packed a crunch . Very enjoyable inviting bar. We were checked on by several staff and noticed that others were as well . Great place to unwind and take in the air while indulging in a few cocktails and light meal . Stayed at the hotel and came in for dinner. There was lots of outdoor seating and a few tables and seating at the inside bar. We opted for the air conditioning and views of the game on tv. Waiter was attentive and friendly. I started with the hat trick cocktail and loaded kettle chips. Both arrived quickly. The chips were a little small to be able to hold the toppings but nothing your fork can't help with. Lots of fresh toppings. We had to wait to order our entrees because it was a hearty portion. Next I got the wedge caesar salad. I'm a judge fan of wedge salads and unfortunately the band was highly misleading. Not a wedge at all but instead a few full leafs of romaine topped with diced chicken, bacon, a hard boiled egg and extra large bread croutons. Taste was good but just not what I was expecting. The sunset views were beautiful over the trees and field from the rooftop. We ended the Night with the chocolate cake. It was quite rich and decadent. Could have used a scoop of vanilla ice cran but I was stuffed. Oh and did I mention this rooftop is open to the public?! read more

Granted, when there are sporting events happening at the complex there is a greater presence at the Skybox - Wesley Chapel. It gets busy, too many drinks needed and not enough hands to make them. I get that. But bartenders should have an intrinsic feel for the difference between the "sports mommy and daddy" and the local who just wants to patronize the neighborhood watering hole. When there are empty chairs at a bar, that signals the "have a seat, have a drink" mentality. When there is a beautiful outside seating area, a long long on the "get drink and walk away" side of the bar - that kind of signals - they are not planning on setting at the bar-top but plan to get a beverage and walk away. A well informed bartender knows the difference. If there are no plans to serve a patron at the empty seat at a bar - get rid of the seats. Period. If you don't - and a patron sits at one of those seats - please quickly inform them "hey, sorry we got a line. You are welcome to sit but you gotta get a drink from the line". You do not let them sit for 10 minutes, smile at them every once in a while and then, when asked for a beverage, tell them "sorry there is a line, thought that was obvious". Obvious? Whew - sorry but y'all need to teach some good ol' southern hospitality. read more

Have been a few times and it was good every time we have gone! The past few times we have tried to go they have been closed earlier before their posted hours, which is disappointing. The bar also keeps promising food but doesn't ever have it. Today we went to go and they closed 3 hours into opening (closed 3 hours early) despite a full parking lot and 2 couples knocking on the locked door. Would love to see this place get popular and be fully operational- I am all about supporting local bars! However, they don't advertise hours correctly or at least abide by their advertised hours and menu. read more
