Have been here a couple times now for beers and dinner. The service is a little hit or miss, but overall helpful when you can find someone. We have really enjoyed their flagship brass tap beer, and the cauliflower and Brussels sprouts appetizers. They have a nice screened in porch to enjoy some fresh air (or a Florida rain storm!). I have been coming here on Sundays during the NFL playoffs, however I came here on a Saturday with my cousin and after such a long time I got to see Lexi again. We got the pretzel, pickle chips, and wings (flavors korean bbq and hot). The Pretzel is one of my favorite menu items here, the pickle chips were also good, the wings I would not order again. Lexi constantly checked on us and updated us on the status of our food and drinks. Whoever was making the Old Fashioneds for me at the bar did an amazing job as well. To managment if they get a chance to read this, Lexi is a true example of what customer service should be. Friendly service with a smile and genuine concern if something is not wrong and she will do everything she can to make things right. Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon to try this new Brass Tap location for the first time. I see several other reviews commenting on service issues but thankfully I can say that we didn't have any problems, though it wasn't busy at this time and we sat at the bar. The bartender acknowledged us right away and gave a cocktail recommendation. We got our drinks and also ordered food (burger and wings) with no issue. The food was great and honestly much better than the burgers and wings we used to get at Beef O'Brady's, so we were happy about that and looking forward to trying other items off the menu next time. As for the restaurant itself, the overall layout is the same as Beef's though they got rid of the half wall that separated the bar area from the rest of the restaurant which makes sense in my opinion - it was never needed in the first place and opens up the room more. You know how hard it is to find food with kick in this old white people graveyard known as Land O Lakes??? I had the grilled cheese brisket and finally I enjoyed a hot meal that was hot in terms of temperature and spice. Great food, nice staff, come here and eat. They have food for spice weaklings too! While Land O Lakes is known for many things, its (non-nude) nightlife is not one...This is exactly what the neighborhood needed. When we walked in there was a wait as it was ribbon cutting night and a vip event was wrapping up. We were greeted by 2 different ultra nice people and I could tell they were genuinely concerned that there was a bit of a wait. Our wait was short-lived, we were sat, drinks were quickly ordered and served, and trivia began. It was incredibly busy but they were well staffed for the night and everything flowed smoothly. We weren't trivia champs but we had fun and plan to enjoy again!! read more

This location just recently opened, moving into the space once occupied by Beef O Brady's. They still seem to be setting up as when we were there an artist was painting a mural in the wall. Nonetheless they were open for service. Our waitress was very pleasant and certainty experienced in waiting tables. The menu is typical bar food. The beer and drink menu is extensive and behind the bar there is a long row to beers on tap! As for the food, I got a steak sandwich and it was just, "okay". A bit small for the price as well. The fries were good. As for the decore. In my opinion the place is too dark. Sure, I get it, it's a bar and it is customary to be on the dim side. But when I have to pull out a flashlight to see the menu, sorry, it's too dark! There are a lot of TVs along the walls with a nice large one in the center. All types of sports were on along with Chive Triva which we like to do. For me the biggest issue I see is they have way to many tables in there and it will make it jammed packed. If they get busy it will be hard to squeeze past people. In conclusion, I'm going to give them three stars and work in a few more visits to see how other items are on the menu and try a few beers before given a final grade. read more

Good thing their food is good because the service isn't. Waitress did not know the menu, did not check on us, forgot most of the additional "asks" we had (such as for ranch, more napkins, etc.) and seemed overall antisocial and like she did not want to be here. I personally know this establishment is very clean and I'd be willing to bet my job on it. As it is my responsibility to ensure that it is and to keep it that way. Yes we are new, yes we have fallen short, but we strive to constantly improve on those shortcomings. That sometimes means getting rid of the things that no longer serve the business or the team in a positive way forward. We checked out the new brass tap last weekend for the first time and we were not impressed. Service and beer were good but food was sub par and overpriced. We got take out for our daughters and the $20 nachos had chips, minimal meat and fixings, cheese but no queso cheese. It was very very disappointing. Will probably not be back for food read more
