Best food I have had here! Stromboli was amazing, BBQ pizza was perfect, and the wings are always the best in town! Love this place!

Such a cool spot! The ambiance is welcoming from the moment you walk in--stylish decor and lots of Tampa Bay Lightning memorabilia for fans to enjoy. I went for weekend brunch and they offer bottomless mimosas and sangria (red and white). A heads-up: the sangria came straight from the bottle without the usual fruit you'd expect. Not my favorite take on it, but the vibe and service made up for it. Staff were super friendly and attentive, which really added to the experience. The food? Tough decision between the avocado toast breakfast and the breakfast pizza--but the pizza won. Solid choice! I got mine with sausage (you can also choose bacon or veggies). Extra veggies are $1.75 each, and I added mushrooms and spinach. Worth it. Oh, and they've got a brick pizza oven, which is always a bonus. Fun detail: their pizza/calzone topping menu has a cheeky note that says "No pineapple--don't ask!" with emojis. Gotta love a place with a sense of humor. Highly recommend checking this place out. I have been wanting to try Brick City and finally had the opportunity to stop in for lunch. We were welcomed warmly and asked if we have been before and informed of the lunch special. This is an order at the counter delivered to your table restaurant. The decor was comfortable and tables nicely spaced out. I ordered the 2 slice and drink special, with a tip came to $10. The pieces were big enough to be filling and tasted great. I especially enjoyed the thin crispy crust. The ratio of sauce to toppings and cheese was very good. I will return again and will also recommend this pizza restaurant to others. read more

Not for me. Very limited menu, mostly Pizza. Spaghetti sauce was to spicy for my wife, I took it home and had it for lunch. Went somewhere else to eat after. Order and pay when you come in. Charge extra for credit cards, but won't take money you just got from bank. Didn't have anchovies for pizza. So they have a real pizza oven? Decor was adequate. read more

I started celebrating National Pizza Week at Brick City Eatery in Lutz with @tampafooddad_ Steve and crew make some pretty amazing pies in their signature TB Lightning themed wood fired pizza oven and I can't wait for you to try it! We started with the Italian Chopped Salad; Romaine, artichoke, tomatoes, banana peppers, green olives, red onion, italian meats and mozzerella served with a roasted garlic wine vinaigrette- a fabulous fresh start to our lunch! Then we had the new burrata toast. Perfectly toasted thick sliced Italian bread slathered with zesty pesto and topped with a burrata half. TFD and I shared the crispy (and perfectly charred) Meat Lovers Pizza. It was fully loaded with generous Sausage, Pepperoni, Bacon and Meatball! I love this place and have been there many times. Their most recent change with being a sit down service is a little disappointing as it took a long time compared to just going to the register and being able to place our order right away. Refills were confusing, didn't know if they would assist or if I had to get up myself to get a soda refill. Pizza is amazing. We miss the cheese curds :/ read more

Very disappointed by a recent visit to this restaurant. First, service. Very little actually. We had to go to the cashier to order our meals and drinks. Refills were handled the same way. They did deliver our orders to the table but little else. I had eaten here a couple of years ago and had their baratta panini. I loved it. When I got home I looked for local restaurants to see who offered this meal and found none. I looked up the recipe and bought a panini press. I have one once a week at home. So I was happy to go back and enjoy a professionally prepared panini. Disappointed does not do justice to the way I felt. The basil pesto looked like it was waved over the bread with very little applied. I had no ideal that a tomato could be sliced so thin. Mozzerella cheese was minimal. If the sandwich was pressed it wasn't evident. So, cheap and lazily made. Probably $1.50 of food for a cost of $14.00. I hope the owner/cook is proud but...never again for me. read more

We sat at the bar and the owner, Steve was just great to talk to while he made the food. A friendly family restaurant and the food did not disappoint. We had a chopped salad that was fresh (the dressing was delicious!), a calzone (huge!) the garlic knots - the garlic drizzle was just what we needed and baked ziti. There was so much we took home to enjoy! For desert we had beignets. Not clue what a French-type pastry is doing there. BUT OMG so glad they were there - they were delicious. Not only is the food delicious, but the owner is someone who truly invests in, and loves his community. Whether it's his love of The Tampa Bay Lightning, or supporting local residents such as Ali Waldon as she goes thru her osteosarcoma cancer treatment- he's the real deal, and so is Brick City Eatery. I had the "Ali's Pie" which is the pizza of the month (October ) with $5 for every pie purchased being donated to Ali's cancer medical funds. It was AMAZING! My husband had the meat lovers pizza and he said it was delicious. Great atmosphere-can watch the local hockey game or football, courteous staff, great owner and better yet-locally owned and operated. The service was okay. The waiter and waitress seemed very nice and kind. The Stromboli that I ordered was heavy in the tomato's making the bottom very soggy and not very appetizing. I had some of my coworkers pizza and it was good. I have never had proper brick oven pizza before so i do not have slot of comparable qualities. No frills neighborhoods place. Order at the register, food is delivered by the pleasant staff. The pizza looked good, but we didn't order it. The Cobb and Cesar salads were good. The chicken wings weren't. They were rubbery and had a weird spice that I couldn't identify. It's the first order of chicken wings that my brothers and I didn't like enough to finish. As always I start off at 5 starts and deduct from there. We arrived just before the 12pm rush and placed our order at 12:04pm and proceeded to our seat. There were 3 other tables already seated with their food and one person who ordered before us. After about 10 minutes we checked with the staff about the mimosas and the response was, "oops, sorry, I forgot" and it took about another 5 minutes to get the drink. We continued to wait for our food and at 12:32 we asked one of the employees about our food order and he checked, came back a few minutes later to let us know that it was, "just getting started and should be about another 10 minutes" and during that time we saw no order being started. At 12:45 we decided to ask for a refund and leave. At this point my review was down to 2 stars but when the manager said, "we are doing the best we can, it's busy" without taking ownership it dropped to 1 star. He did refund and offered to make the order to go. (Back up to 2 stars) but the orders coming off the grill went elsewhere and not to us (back to 1 star). If I ever decide to go back I will edit/update my review but for now I could not tell you if the food was good or not. Personally I would have liked the manager to step up and get the orders moving, instead he spent most of the time pouring the beers and wine which left him a lot of time to help move orders through. Take my review for what it is worth for now. If things improve then the reviews following mine will reflect that. read more

I wish I could provide a better review for my 2nd visit but the pizza was not the best. I like that this is local and not a chain. The cashiers are pleasant and helpful (it is counter service). The beer selection is small but they have good options. We got the arugula prosciutto pizza with white sauce but I think they forgot the truffle--it was ok but not something I have to have again. The Buffalo chicken pizza seemed like all wing sauce & chopped chicken topped with dressing--I didn't really get any other flavors. So a few of my friends and I came down from Texas for a mini vacation. We found this little spot right next to our hotel! The staff as really nice and our pizza got out to us really fast. The pizzas was delicious!!!! I like my pizza cheeses and that's exactly what it was! Not sure how other ppl like there pizzas but I like thin pizza so I can eat more!! I didn't request thin crust it came that way. 3.5 stars for a solid pizza joint in the middle of "nowhere" Came to this part of Florida for work and was happy to see a more trendy and contemporary restaurant. The pizzas are made to order using fresh ingredients and homemade sauce. In my effort to be more vegetarian, I opted for the arugula pizza without the proscuitto. I enjoyed the crust and flavor of white sauce. The truffle flavor was faint, but still ok. And i wish i had a bit more fresh mozzarella on it. Definitely enjoyed the thin and crispy crust! But overall, a slightly above average pizza. Next time i'll ask if i can just build my own pizza. The food came out quick and we met our 1 hour lunch time-frame. I see that there is breakfast items on here that I'm excited to try next time! In smaller towns, I'm used to mom and pop places and have pretty low expectations, but I like the effort this local business does in giving the place a vibe that you would find in larger cities like Tampa or Orlando. I devoured the arugula pizza with white sauce (recommended by the cashier) and thought the flavors married perfectly with the spice was from arugula and sweetness of the balsamic glaze. This place used to be so good. Ordered spaghetti and meatballs, 2 subs and Nutella knots. The bread was under done and tasted like chemicals. The subs were just bigs chunks of meat.
