This huge pizza is the personal size! Soooo good!
    Lisa W.

Delicioso! We are temporarily living in Tampa while receiving medical treatment. My husband hasn't been craving anything, but loves pizza. I researched restaurant reviews and health inspections and found Bella Roma. We are so glad we found them! I called to place our takeout order and the person who answered was so incredibly helpful and patient. My husband wanted a pepperoni pizza (out of this world good) and I wanted to taste a Grandma's Pizza since I had it in NY and loved it. I thought I'd have to order the whole pie, but they happened to have slices. Even though I ordered the whole pie, she offered the slices and that was perfect for us. It tasted exactly like the one from NY. As we were looking at the menu prior to ordering, my husband suddenly had an appetite! In addition to the pizza mentioned above, we got a slice of Sicilian, a side of meatballs, bruschetta, a side Caesar salad, and bucatini pasta with Alfredo sauce. The meatballs and the pasta each came with two garlic knots. We had a little party in the car and everything was amazingly delicious. When I went in to pick up, I noticed how clean everything looked. As soon as I took my first bite of meatball, I told my husband they tasted exactly like my nona's! Perfection! The bruschetta was overflowing with the most delicious combination of toppings, yet the bread was still crisp. It's the best bruschetta I've ever had in my life. The Parmesan on the Caesar salad was so generous. I substituted ranch dressing and it was fabulous. Oh, and those croutons!!! The Alfredo sauce was plentiful and simply amazing. Everything was packed with care; the cold items were in one bag and the hot were in another. We really appreciated that thoughtful touch! I'm so thankful for the delicious pizza, the fabulous food, and the sweet employee. My husband even said that when we get to go back home after treatment, it would be fun to drive the two hours back to this restaurant for more of their delicious food. Thank you for making his day (and mine)!

My wife and I decided to eat out tonight, my dad recommended them. We ordered: 20 wings, a Philly Cheesesteak, and two 18" pizzas one was the kickin chicken and bacon, the other the Don (basically a meatlovers) and i have to say, this has to be the best pizzas i have ever had the pleasure of consuming. The wings are very meaty, and big, though pricey, they are worth every single penny, i honestly think these could contest some places that specialize in wings. The Philly Cheesesteak was incredible, my wife was born in Pennsylvania so i can confidently say she knows a good philly cheesesteak and she had a bite, she said "now thats a cheesesteak!" We are very happy w our dinner tonight. Highly recommended. Staff is also very friendly!

My daughter and I had a nice experience at Bella Roma. My family is from NY so our standards for NY style pizza are pretty high and we were not disappointed. You can order pizza by the slice or a custom pie. We ordered a few slices of the sausage and veggie. They were delicious. I ate every bite of the crust, it was so good. The sauces are made in house, the veggies and toppings are cut fresh daily. I was told the chef has 30 years experience, and it shows. I ordered the calamari and wings to start. The calamari was perfectly seasoned and lightly battered. The calamari was fresh, not chewy (I'm somewhat of an octopus/calamari connoisseur) so my standards are high, and again I was impressed with the quality. Definitely order the calamari! The wings were cooked perfectly and the Thai chili sauce was amazing. We had the cheesecake for dessert which was also delicious. The place is very clean having been newly remodeled. You can smell fresh paint and fresh pizza. It's a family friendly environment with good energy and light music playing. We highly recommend Bella Roma and we will definitely be back!

There's a new pizza shop in Lutz and these people are legit from New York! We ordered the calamari fried light best. I've had in a long time with a side of marinara sauce. We got a chicken cutlet, Parm, hero, crisp cutlets, good bread, plenty of sauce. The fresh garlic knots we watch them take them out of the oven and then they came onto my plate. Pizza my husband ordered had everything on it sausage mushrooms, black olives, peppers, meatballs . we had a small side plate of just meatballs and sausage. It was delicious. The sauce is freshly homemade not bitter at all. Free refills on fountain drinks. we arrived early about 6 o'clock before the big dinner rush so we were able to snag a table out of the sun. Plenty of people dining in plenty of people to take away. Met the owners. They are the nicest people that deserve our business and since we have a good pizza shop here in Lutz let's all get out there.

This is just an update from my review of last night. I had…read morethe leftover pizza for dinner tonight ( and... ok I admit I also had a small piece for breakfast /cold) But what I reheated tonight just blew me away. I don't know how it's possible but I think it may have even been better the second day. Trust me when I say ... I eat more pizza than almost anyone. I've been to hundreds and hundreds of pizza shops all over the world including Italy. I also have been making pizza at home for the past 10 years. This pizza is it !

OK, let's talk pizza...like so many people, I love a good pizza and I crave a GREAT pizza. Signals…read moremakes GREAT pizza. The dough is perfect...light, airy and crisp. Everyone's eating the crust, it's not just the pizza handle it's the treat at the end of the piece of pizza. I ordered the 12" Americana...absolutely no disappointment. Perfectly cooked by a pizza artisan and delivered hot of the oven...I love it! The sauce is great, the toppings are great...it's an incredible pizza. I sat at the bar and just relaxed watching the pizza being assembled and cooked in their beautiful pizza oven. I waited patiently, or at least as patiently as I could be for mine to come out...and when it did, it was everything I had hoped for and more. So, why only a four star rating...well, I need to give fair and honest ratings...I'm fortunate that in most instances I eat at restaurants I like, and those are the reviews I enjoy doing. If I have a bad experience, sometimes I don't even bother with the review...but if it's good to great, I feel like I need to help spread the word. Sogna Napoli Trattoria would have gotten 5 stars all but for one thing...or shall I say three things...I prefer Coke over Pepsi...they only had Pepsi...and that's certainly not enough to drop a star...but the Pepsi was terrible...it had the oddest taste, I can't explain it. If I'm enjoying a great pizza I would like a fizzy soda that meets the expectations, Coke or Pepsi. So I asked to switch to something else...Dr Pepper sounded good, so I gave it a try...it was equally awful, sale odd taste. Now I'm loving my pizza, but thirsty for something so I switch to water...and it was the same kind of awful tasting disappointment. Not sure what it was, and not sure if the water came from the Pepsi machine, but all three were just about as bad as any I've had. I couldn't help but think the machine was dirty, or maybe the water is just fowl and it's contaminating the soda...but that was the only complaint for what otherwise was an incredible pizza! The other items on the menu looked great as they passed in front of my eyes...I wish I lived nearby so I could try the other things they make..:but I'd bring my own drink next time!

Back in October, I made a reservation for 20 people for a January dinner to celebrate my dad's birthday. I had heard the week before that Max sold the restaurant, but at that point it was too late to find another place that could accommodate such a large group. Our reservation was at 4:00 pm. When I walked in at 4:03 with my son, there was a man standing by the pizza oven on his cell phone. I initially thought he was a customer waiting for food since there was no acknowledgment at all. After a few minutes, a couple of cooks walked out, looked at us, and said nothing. The man continued texting and then, very coldly, asked, "How can I help you?" I told him I was there for the party of 20, and he responded, "They're in the back," with no warmth or professionalism. As someone who worked in the restaurant industry for over a decade, I was honestly shocked by the greeting. Once seated, I informed our server that both my brother and I have celiac disease and that eating gluten-free is a serious medical necessity. Normally, servers acknowledge this and reassure guests that they'll speak with the kitchen. Instead, she said nothing and walked away while I was still speaking. The appetizers were fine, but the main courses were extremely disappointing. I ordered the gluten-free veal marsala, a dish I've had countless times at Nabruzzi over the years. This was easily one of the worst versions I've ever had...completely bland, with large chunks of garlic instead of properly minced, and so unappetizing I couldn't finish it. My husband ordered the pollo florentine and described it as something our four-year-old could have made. The presentation was equally poor; the food looked like it had simply been thrown onto the plates. The server never once checked on us after the food was delivered, which should happen within the first few bites. I also brought a birthday cake for my dad, and it was served before all the dinner plates were cleared. As we were leaving, the owner simply said, "Have a good one." It's clear that the new owner has little to no experience in the restaurant or service industry, which is incredibly disappointing. Nabruzzi was once a warm, friendly Italian restaurant and a hidden gem in Lutz...a place our family truly loved and visited often because it felt welcoming and close to home. Sadly, after this experience, we will not be returning.

The food quality and flavor is excellent. I love the bread with olive oil served before the meal. I ordered veal and it was also excellent and the pasta is delicious too. We ordered the Romano pizza as an appetizer and it was ok. Unfortunately our food took a loooooong time to come out. The pizza probably took 30 minutes. We asked for the salads to come out at the same time but again had to wait. My salad had no dressing on it so I had to ask for it which they did send out. The meals again took quite awhile to come out. I will say our server was friendly, but the kitchen just took forever with everything. I will definitely come back because the food is so good. Hopefully this was just an off night.
