Went on a Saturday night with some friends and we had a really good time. The only thing that I would say is that if kids are not with their parents after 11 pm, they should not be in there. We had a group of kids playing bowling right next to us and they were all over the place but by that time, we were well into our 2nd or 3rd drink so we didn't complain. All my family went there on Sunday afternoon to celebrate my son's birthday and it was fun! It was our first time and we are definitely coming back. We went bowling and glad to see that it was not crowded. The place looks great and clean everywhere. The food was really good and I know my food! The only thing is the staff as most of them are teens, so you pretty much know what to expect, but just be patience and like my dad said "If you get mad you lose" They might just need an extra push and training. read more

Fun place to visit a good alternative to Dave and Buster's. Very family friendly and prices are resonable, I paid $40 for 2 large unlimited topping pizzas and a basket of french fries with 4 chicken strips. The games are fun but pricey overall this is a good place to do something different with the family. My only complaint is parking and service for food can be slow. read more

I went Jan. 10, 2016 and it was my 3rd time there. I was pleased to find they had a package deal for everything, bowling, gravity, laser tag all day for $17.99. We had fun doing it all, service for food while bowling was very good. The arcade is very fun, and I like that there is group games like pac man & air hockey for 4 players at a time. I had a very expensive birthday party here,we had a great great party host she was sweet always had a smile on her face the whole time. After the party me and a few friends stuck around after the party to bowl,eat,and have fun after an hour the people next to us where trying to start something about how we were walking in front of them while they were bowling. That never happened,they started talking to my kid and her friend and i didn't appreciate that he was getting all up in her face which is not ok. There was this other girl with the party and was getting all up in 13 year olds face. The manager got involved and was very very rude to us and we are paying good good money to be here he. Had a fun time today with my cousins bowling, but then our alley got messed up and it took forever to get someone to fix it. And it was faulty in the beginning dropping our pins. Someone came and tried and then left and never came back with it still broken. It took them about 10 minutes to get someone else over here with us having to ask them. When they fixed it they didn't apologize, they just walked off. Then they gave us 10 minutes extra when it took around 15-20. I still had a good time but wish they could improve their quality. I was here today (11/19There was always a problem with the pins dispensing, we kept on restarting the game making our time go to waste, we pretty much gave them like 20 minutes for free because we kept on restarting the game. And the service is the worst. Our waiter Melissa only asked for our drinks which was only water and she took over 30 minutes for WATER. I didn't even see her come back I just saw the water on my table and I was already ready to order. It took another 15 minutiae to finally order my food. Worst worst service ever. If I could give this sales team and mgmt team zero stars I would. They are terrible. Every time I spoke with someone there, I was given different information re: their party rooms. It wasn't until I spoke with the General Manager of this location TODAY, that I was told that in order to host a party, in one of their party rooms (which is what I had been planning w/the sales dept for 2 weeks) during the month of December you would have to pay ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS PER HOUR!!!! You read that correctly -- A GRAND, 1K, A RACK, just for one hour in the party room, during the month of Dec. This is BEYOND RIDICULOUS. I can deal w/an up-charge for holiday space but going from $100 p/hour for the room rental in Nov. to a required minimum of $1,000 revenue p/hour is absolutely ludicrous. Prior to being told the min. revenue p/hr, I was told in one of my many convos w/the sales team, that I could no longer book a bday party for my son in a party rooms bcs it was TENTATIVELY being held for a company's xmas party. It's upsetting to hear that even though you're ready, willing and able to do what needs to be done to book a party with them, you get pushed out, bcs a company MIGHT want the same day for their holiday party as you. Didn't I call first? Haven't I already given you guys all my info? Isn't my money green too? Apparently not. I am beyond disappointed with this place's service. This holiday up-charge is not listed ANYWHERE on their website or on any of their informational packets in house. Also, it was obvious that Beya, the sales rep who I had spoken with several times about my booking, had no idea that holiday pricing was something they did, as she didn't bring it up to me until today. When she did finally tell me about there being a $1,000 min. she explained it as a min. for each party - NOT PER HOUR. Main Event makes a lot of money from moms and dads who bring their kids there to play. Unfortunately though, if your child has a bday in Dec. don't expect to host it in one of their party rooms unless you're a Corporation or mega wealthy and you can pay their exorbitant fees. The summer fun pass ($15.95 before 4pm) was definitely worth it and was an affordable way to experience most of the attractions: bowling, billiards, laser tag and gravity ropes. My friend and I were disappointed to learn that there was no rock climbing like the website had promised. The arcade games looked appealing, but came at an additional cost, so we didn't play any. The facility was clean. Service was neither great nor terrible -- the employees looked a little indifferent and bored with their jobs. Activities like laser tag and gravity ropes require tickets and are done in large groups (so you might be grouped with people you don't know) and happen in 20 minute sessions. We had a good time, but this place might be a little too pricey without the fun pass. read more

Ok, so with yesterday being Mother's Day I wanted to have some fun with my boys. When we arrived I was elated to find that the place was not crowded as I had feared it might be. We come here often. I have given two Birthday parties here, football team parties, as well as family gatherings. We started with arcade games and after a few, I had a seat to allow my boys to play. I sat in the restaurant where there were 2 other booths full plus one table. It took about 15 minutes for someone to come and take my initial order. Subsequently, it took about 15 minutes for him to return with my drink. He sat it down and walked away saying he would be back to take my food order. I literally waited another 10 minutes. Remember, there were only 3 other guests in the restaurant. I was sitting right by the window to the kitchen and I counted 4 waitstaff and could see 2 people in the kitchen. The food came about 20 minutes later but I had to call him in order to get water for my boys. I then had to call again for the check and finally had to send my youngest son to find the waiter so that he could ring us up so that we could leave. By the time we left, I was so frustrated, it almost ruined the time we had. I didn't stay for bowling because I was so ready to just get out of there. Staff is poorly trained to handle busy times. Managers do not respond well to any requests. Bathrooms are not okay. Messy and smell bad. Dawn is not a good manager for the bowling area. She cannot handle any question without pause or causing drama with other employees. Tried to tell us that she was the k my manager around and no one else could help. Turns out there was another manager you just have to be persistent. Greg, the other manager, is rude, unhelpful, and no interested in keeping business. Won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Great place for families and adults also. Can be expensive during peak periods but very secure, safe environment for fun. Have had my childs birthday party there in the past and it was a smashing success. Went last night to bowl and the lane 8 we were on kept having issues. Brought to the attention of the "manager" on duty several times. The pins would not reset. This happened at least 6 times with varying periods of delays in resuming our games. All the while the clock continues to expire on our purchase. The 3rd time I brought it to this managers attention, he snapped at me. His level of frustration was quite evident and that was uncalled for. I had more reason to be upset but I was calm and trying to enjoy myself. We were finally moved to the adjoining lane and we resumed our game. This manager was tall, white, skinny and he had a childish attempt of a beard. If this "manager" can't manage his frustration and stress level on a Wednesday evening, he needs to rethink his career choice. read more

I've been to main event a couple of time's and it was fun.(BUT) i give this place no star it is horrible when i went there the last time. The owner of main event was there and had a employee come to our lane and tell us that we are using to light of a ball and we can break something and our m.p.h were 11 to 14 m.p.h. I've never scene a pin break that those speed's before.Maybe the owner should think about buying new pin's instead of siting at the bar and drinking. So the rest of the night we were bowling at speed's of 4 and 6 m.p.h. So who ever goes there make sure you ask the owner what ball to use before you start bowling so that way he won't have to sit there and worry about his pin's breaking. This place is awful. If your kid asks you to have his birthday party here, say NO. They were completely nice and organized on the phone (when setting up the party). Once we arrived, it was complete chaos. Here's what your $300 party buys you: 45 minutes sitting at a table eating pizza (which took 25 min to arrive) (and maybe the kids might hear you singing Happy Birthday). Then, you get a whole 15 minutes of laser tag!! Wow!! Then each kid gets a card (that just might work) that will buy them about two video games. So, you get to spend the next 30 min. reloading (with your credit card) their video game cards so they can play more games. We had a girl assigned to us that could not have been less helpful. Front desk girl that checked us into the bowling wait list was sort of rude, the food there is ok nothing GREAT but nothing bad either however I did enjoy their mocha gelato alot! But the timing for food is horrible we literally waited over an hour for chicken tenders and some wings, having worked at a restaurant I know things get backed up when it is busy but over an hour!?, our waiter was nice but she just came around maybe every 30 minutes or so. We started by getting appetizers in the restaurant area. Eddie was super nice. The food was ok. Then we played some games. Several of them did not work. When brought to a workers attention about 1 game in particular he said "ya it works when it wants to." At least he gave us back our money from that swipe. We had a tab at the bar and it took 10 minutes to tab out. Then we bowled. We ordered drinks when we started bowling and finished the game without receiving them. The drinks were okay, they can definitely be better, it's a bit too sweet but I did wait fairly long for the drinks. I didn't play too much games but there were only a few games that interested me. We had my son's 8th birthday here just yesterday and I have to tell you, it was the worst organized birthday I have ever been to! Our hostess was by herself trying to manage at least 13 kids and adult service. Very rushed throughout the entire service and a lot of waiting! I even had a private room but was shortly kicked out of after only 30 min b/c they were way over booked! I will NEVER return to this establishment again!!! Game cards were not set up as discussed and my husband and I might as well have picked up an application while we were there b/c we basically had to do the job of our so called "party host." Plus, no help from laser tag, they left the kids wondering how to even put on the vests and we had to wait over 30 min for our bowling lanes which we were so rushed to go to! Ugh! Service here is terrible! Been here about 4 times and always takes about 25 minutes to get another round because there is always only one bartender at the bar & is always overwhelmed. Chuck E Cheese or D&B is ALOT more convenient than this place will ever be. Will never be back to this place! For a place that stays open late and serves alcohol everyday they have security only certain days of the week. I went with family and my kids and a group of guys that were looking for trouble assaulted me from behind when i was walking to my car. And i fell to the ground and hit my head. I was in a coma for 2 weeks with multiple fractures in my face and i am suffering and healing from a traumatic brain injury. My family came back to speak to the managers and only one was really helpful and told us a-lot but the. Every one else kept saying to talk to their legal department for anything and were being extra rude to them when i was in a coma. The have no good security! And they do not care about the customers. A lot of employees saw what happened and couldn't go out and stop it or help me. A random customer helped my wife out while i was unconscious until ambulance came to get me. I use to come here a-lot and celebrated mine and my daughters birthday but never again. Seems like they don't care on who goes there anymore and they lack the sense on hiring security everyday since they sale alcohol all day/night and kids go there. read more

Needed a place for my teen daughter and about 14 friends to celebrate her birthday without it being too much of a kiddy party. Opted for one of the teen package deals that included food (3 choices), bowling, laser tag, and game cards. Caleb, the young manager, was very professional as well as extremely helpful throughout the night. Our server, Pamela, took her job very seriously and provided great customer service. Overall, the place was big, very nice, and very family-friendly; the kids really enjoyed themselves. I highly recommend it! read more

Very bad experience with the food, arcade and manager. My kids were playing a jackpot game and won the jackpot 3 times, they were so excited to pick out a prize but when the cashier slides our card it only reads 50 points. We tell her we had way more she tells us the computer says different so the manager steps in, slides the card and tells us the same thing . I am infuriated this "manager" needs to be bumped down to cashier, instead of trying to find a solution he keeps telling me that his computer is right and im wrong calling us liars. I had to raise my voice to get my kids their points. Pizza took 50 minutes made me rush to make it to my laser tag game. Not worth it. Try Area 21 for laser tag and karts, prices are lower and much more organized. read more

I usually come here often and the staffs are usually very nice and friendly but the last time I came here which was 10/19/17 around 9:30. A group of friends and I wanted to play lazer tag and they told us it's unlimited until closing which is 12 on the weekdays and so we all paid and we are just waiting by the door for play laser tag and I guess the closing person working the laser tag session was just having a bad day or something. I think her name was Michelle. She was so rude to us. She didn't even acknowledge us what's so ever and when she did talk to us she was talking to us if we were stupid. One of my friends went up to her to tell her we were ready and she looked at my friend and continue to do whatever she had to do and he just walked away. It took her like 10 mins to get us in and to play laser tag. And after the the first round of laser tag we were gonna play a little bit of arcade games and then go back and play laser tag so it's like 11ish now and I go up to her that we wanna have another round of the UNLIMITED laser tag and she looks at me and she was like this is the last one and under her breath I heard her say she doesn't have time for this and while she being rude to me, I see like a manager or boss whoever, didn't do anything about it and was just standing there with a mean mugging face. If i could give this no stars i would. Horrible!My Fiance went a week before i went and said his experience was horrible but i decided i wanted to give it a try.. I went in to main event to go to the arcade and go play laser tag. Me and my brother played for about an hour and spent a good amount of money. When we got to the counter i asked the lady how many tickets we had and she replied we had 198; the mustache mood ring that he wanted was 200. When i asked the lady if i could pay the difference or if the 2 tickets mattered she said she could not help us and we would have to go earn more tickets. My brother is 10 years old and was very disapointed.I was not about to go spend another cent in this place when i had already spent over 50 dollars. I will never go back to this horrible place, I did not mind spending for the over priced games and bowling but this was simply outrageous. The Katy location was easy and right in my area. I will now not mind driving to the Dave and Busters that is 30 minutes from my house. I will spend my money there and tell everyone how horrible my service was and how i will never go back, and make sure the word gets out that this was the worst place for kids and parents alike.
