I went to Main Event with my little cousins to play some bowling. Proves for bowling varies depending on the day and time. For 5 people at around 6:30 we paid about $40 for one hour. It is definitely on the pricey side since there are places that are cheaper. Bowling shoes are not included so you will have to pay around $4-5. It was a good experience overall and we had fun. The servers were very friendly and the food was good. There are definitely other places that offer the same experience for a cheaper price.

THIS REVIEW IS ABOUT FOOD: We were starving and surprisingly, Main Event food did not disappoint. Fried pickles were flavorful and crispy. Chargrilled chicken was juicy and very fulfilling! Fries were tasty too, not bland at all. Even the burger was very good. Service was okay. Would I come back to eat? Probably.

Great place to meet with friends. They have pool, bowling, and laser tag! Gravity ropes give a thrilling experience that gets the blood pumping! Let's go!

Not as expensive as other new places but a little high on price point here. Food was bland but it's not a restaurant. Plan to eat out before or after you go here. Full bar was nice and TVs to watch sports while your kids play. One thing, too many staff by bar waiting tables and got overlooked constantly waiting for them to check on us and walking by us. Other members, there were more than needed, should help each other out and even ask a table that is not theirs, if the client is looking around with an empty glass for 15 minutes...."Do you need anything?" Once I payed my bill my guests wanted additional service but server left us 100% after I payed $100 plus 20% tip. Once you pay they don't check on you even if you look like you need something. They need better teamwork training here. Pay more and go to andretti or other new places.

I went today with my friends it was so fun! The food was good, the bowling was good but one lane did malfunction occasionally. I went on the gravity ropes as well and the workers there, Elliot and Daniella were so kind and funny! I also redeemed my points from the arcade and the lady behind the counter was so so nice about us winning a bunch of prizes and having to combine cards to pay for our prizes haha, her name was Samarria. If you guys go to Main Event, those are the people who will get you right!

We had a great time today at Main Event! They have a great special going on where kids 15 and under can bowl for free (you have to purchase bowling shoes) they also have a deal if you buy a $20 game card you get $20 free (which I bought) The place is spacious and clean. About 20 lanes for bowling. A sitting area and a bar for food and drinks. My daughter ordered the cotton candy Shirley temple (she loved it ) we also ordered the loaded fries and a kid's pizza. All were yummy! Everyone working was nice and helpful although it did take some time for a server to come to our table to take our order (about 20 minutes) but we still enjoyed ourselves Thank you to David who helped set up our bowling and our server Ian who served our food and drinks!

Your typical main event. Bowling, laser tag and arcades. I grabbed a drink with my wife at the bar while waiting for our lane to be open while the kids hit the arcade up. They have a feature at the bowling lanes that lets you take a picture and use it as the background to your scores. I thought it was a nice touch. Laser tag was fun. The kids made me join and luckily a few other parents did too so I could be proud of absolutely crushing everyone with my top score lol I'm not in Katy often but if you are it's a great place to take the family

Not to be confused with the Maine Event, which is when I play a concert up in Bar Harbor or Bangor. Wow. ME is such a very cool place for kids (and I don't mean the state but that's lovely too), they can spend hours here going wild and playing around and having lots of fun. It would get a five star if the prices were a little cheaper or if the service were a little better, but in terms of how much fun kids can have here, it's definitely nothing short of a five. Hard to explain just how much there is here, there's always a lot going on and it's always well worth having a trip here, just ask my nephew who likes it "way more than the trampolines!", and I recommend having a party here if there are little ones involved, especially of the 4-to-12 variety.

Laser Tag - the kids favorite!

In addition to the super fun go kart racing track, there are plenty of arcade games, some of which are VR, laser tag, and even great food! Think of it as a brighter and better maintained Dave and Busters. It can be a bit pricey but worth the cost in my opinion. Parking is ample so no issues there, and it's in the heart of Katy Asia Town so tons of good food options either walking distance or just a short drive away. The staff were pretty knowledgeable and nice too. Go check it out! It's actually a pretty good date option too. I've been on several there and the wife loves it every time.

Lots of arcade game options, almost everything in working order and clean. The kids enjoyed themselves which was the goal. The bad: The mini track was LAME, for a kid that's never driven before it would be adequate, but our 5 year old drives well (he has a kart of his own at home) he easily could have handled the beginner track and kart. The arcade was over priced for a weekday, and there were no attendants to be found for help with game malfunctions or to get prizes. If we ever make it back to Texas we might make a return visit.

The claw machines worked well moving the item closer to the drop box and the process was actually fun and challenging. The worker was amazing, sweet, he answered all of our questions, and even helped us out when he saw us struggling with one of the games. I didn't have high expectations of walking away with any prizes because I'm use to regular arcade claw machines where you spend so much money and walk away with nothing. I love that this business has games starting at just 1 token and some going up to 9 tokens. And even if the claw machines aren't your thing you can definitely expect to win something from the capsule toy vending machines. They have a great variety of cartoon, anime, and nostalgic items, including stuffed animals, toy figurines, keychains, and building blocks. They have something for everyone. I didn't see any food or drinks for sale, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby if you want to grab something to eat afterward. The ambiance was clean, cute, colorful, bright, and very eye catching which is what made us stop in the first place. I had a lot of fun and definitely recommend checking out Claw & Fun for the experience. If I'm ever in the area again I would most definitely stop in!

The two teenagers working the desk told us there would be a 40‑minute wait. That would've been fine--except the 40 minutes turned into a full hour. We ended up stuck behind a large 6‑year‑old's birthday party, even though the course itself only had about four people actually playing. Instead of letting us play through or staggering groups, they just had us stand around waiting with no explanation. When we started to play golf, they handed us gaming cards for the arcade, which was very confusing why didn't they give it to us in the beginning so we had something to do, but we didn't come for the arcade, and we weren't doing anything--they just didn't manage the flow well at all. A few positives: the bathrooms were clean, and the place itself is visually fun. But be aware there's no real food available--just tiny bags of chips--and no alcohol. The only drinks for sale are canned sodas. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and not worth the hassle. If you're planning to go on a weekend, especially with a Groupon, I'd say it's not worth the discounts.

The employee even came around ensuring the little ones got something. We went back with a large group of us over the weekend and the machines had gotten so difficult that no one was winning anything and the toddlers were so sad. The machines either wouldn't grip tight enough or would pick up a toy and fling it. After spending $40 and only getting one stuffie we will not be returning here. I've been to a few of these claw places and the fun of it is that these machines are much easier than the stand alone ones at restaurants. We spent 5 tokens on a shooting game and didn't get a single point. I decided to mention it to one of the employees so she went to test it out herself and sure enough the game was broken. She was kind enough to give me my tokens back but it was another disappointing game for my toddler.
