As excited as we were to celebrate our event at AGR Sports, our experience was unfortunately very disappointing. There was significant miscommunication from the host prior to the event, and when we arrived we were unexpectedly told we needed to make changes. Our party was also moved from our original table to much smaller tables that did not provide enough space for our group. Throughout the event I had to repeatedly go back and forth with staff to clarify these issues, which made the experience frustrating and unenjoyable. They also attempted to charge us an additional $200 for a game that I was clearly told was included in the mixed birthday package -- something I confirmed with them at least three times prior to the event. In addition, the facility itself needs serious attention. It was not clean, masks were falling off the kids' faces, the venue appeared dirty, and the bathrooms were out of toilet paper. Overall, the space does not seem well maintained and requires much-needed upkeep. It felt like the venue was overbooked and unable to deliver on what was promised, with many inconsistencies throughout the event. Because of this experience, we will not be returning. read more

Very good instructions for first timers (5&7yr olds) from staff who were particularly helpful & patient. everyone had tons of fun, good for old people too bc they can sit & snipe. Roughly 10$ per person per game. Paintball (mini-doesn't hurt, it's like tiny water droplets hitting (kids described as hail lol)), but was most fun: full auto & very decent trajectory nearly across whole room only small drop. Full bar & food menu with happy hour starting at 10am! Fairly quiet for a weekday considering it's summer & school out, which is good for first timers too. I hear it gets super busy on weekends, unsurprisingly. Definitely will be back! read more

We came here on a Tuesday for axe throwing for my friend's birthday and we were the only people there. We got a quick demonstration on how to use the axe throwing games and how to actually throw the axe. It was a lot of fun and I think it would be a very cool space to have a party. It was a little strange that we were the only ones in the venue but I think that could be because it was a Tuesday night. There was also a bar in the venue, which was very nice. The staff working was super helpful. The axe throwing was $30 a person for an hour, which I thought was fairly reasonable. Overall, it was a fun experience. read more

Went here to play laser tag and axe throwing. Little to no crowd if you go right when they open. Loved the prices and the experience

The place is empty, this is my second time coming and it's always dead empty. The lady and man who have been there the two last times I have been are not friendly and welcoming at all. My girlfriend and I bought tickets to axe throw (64.95 paid in cash). then stated we wanted food and drinks first the lady was confused. she told the man, we seen him run to the bar and then he pointed to the menus. It was no other staff in the facility but the two. We ordered food and drinks. I forgot my ID but my girlfriend didn't , we are 25+ years old. I understand the law and the rules, but it's nobody in there . I would think they'd want all the money they could get. After the bad service , dead place which was worrying because it's a beautiful establishment and can really be something. My girlfriend and I decided to leave. Wasn't worth it. So we got store credit - we will be back one day....... maybe. read more

It is a beautiful facility... yet there is no one there... no kids no families... 2nd time I've been ... due to misleading information about prices & bad customer service. We won't be back. Sad, we were really looking forward to a fun day out and this place has potential. If you want to do the day pass for 35$... plan on paying extra fee's for vest gloves and googles.. This place SUCKS and it's a shame because it looks really cool. Basically, there's no order or moderation from employees, everything has 30-60 minute wait times, and it's expensive as hell. There is hardly any staff members. There's no information on how or when you get to go do whatever you paid to do. So we just paid $120 for 4 people to axe throw, which is higher than other axe throwing places around. They give us a receipt and that's all you get. So then we try to get some food and drinks. The food is decently priced but alcohol is very expensive. On top of that, you pay a 4% "service fee" for card transactions and they don't have an ATM. Lastly no one moderates anything so eventually, after waiting forever for our food, we started asking when it'll be our turn to axe throw. The employees were confused about who paid first and what order we were supposed to go in. We were approached twice asking if we were a different group of people because employees couldn't even keep track of which party was up next. Eventually we were told we would be "next" after one group finished up. That group was occupying 2 lanes and their timer ran out but no one was there to stop them so they just kept playing anyway. We had to go find an employee to ask them if we could get our turn since we had been waiting over an hour at that point. In total our party of 4 people spent over $220 and an hour of waiting around just to axe throw for an hour and eat some appetizers. read more

The place itself is beautiful, but its not suitable for kids under 12. They also have staff that are obviously not well trained. We went with a group of friends and our kids were going to play the rubber ball game. The guy who was preparing the guns for the game was screaming and yelling at kids to not get close to a counter. He screamed so much that both our kids started crying and preferred to just not play at all. I've never heard from my son asking us to never go back to a game place. This is the first place in houston that I see an untrained teenager is in charge of a gun game and dares to yell and scream at 6 year old kids. If your activity is sensitive and you need to do it without interruption of kids, you should pickup and do it elsewhere where innocent , curious and happy kids are not interrupting you. I complained to the manager and her said he gave the employee a talk and he apologized but I definitely wouldn't go back to a place that didn't train their employees this poorly to begin with. read more

This place is amazing! The owners and the staff were super helpful in planning a last-minute birthday party for 25 kids 9-12 years old. The kids played laser tag, "paint" ball with glow in the dark gel balls and nerf wars while the adults threw axes. Great food and drinks. The kids all went home except for a handful of families who stayed and continued the fun. I just asked my son where he wants his birthday this year and he said AGR again.
